Yes it will. Just read the previous posts, were all waiting...... Don't forget to email Curt!!!
-
No news is probably good news. If he's here answering questions than he can't be busy working on the keyboard. I wouldn't expect to hear much for a while. That involves a LOT of work. Allan 987565 I guess [<pouts!>] But I want to keep up with this. I missed out on the High score cartridge, and CC2 hype! I don't want to miss this bandwagon. Besides, who here wouldn't like to see the prototype board, etc... as it progresses?? OY! I'll be as patient as possible. BTW, you should of seen my correspondence with CMD while I was waiting for my SCPU128!!! I can be an impatient bitch sometimes! [<really!!>]
-
[so............... Any news/progress? Everything moving along as it should?? Enquiring minds want to know.
-
Silly rabbit, Qix are for kids.......
-
Just curious why you asked this. Did you have something particular in mind? Allan 984152 Not really..... Just curious, that's all! Besides some original button driven games (asteroids, space invaders, etc...) play better on a KB than a pad/stick I hope Curt builds these to original spec, as I have a spare 600XL keyboard (NOS) laying around that would be preferable to KB controllers!!
-
Can it sub/replace the keyboard controllers? Does it happen to map to controller functions?
-
Picture something like MIDI maze with two linked 7800 systems....
-
That's cool, I think the terminal program was the only one of the original 7800 keyboard programs that hadn't been confirmed to be found yet. I hope you can find what modem it works with. Mitch 983536 It would be weird if it needed a different modem other than a 1030. Why would they have wasted designing a new modem when they had the SIO connected 1030? Allan 983542 Very good point! Can a SIO handle a fater throughput that a 300Bps modem uses?? A modem is kinda low on the list right now (as far as I'm concerned!) I'm more excited by: 1. getting to master a new version of BASIC!! 2. See which ML calls are availible 3. possibly a RS-232 link of some type 4. Run homebrews from an ISO, burned onto a CD, hooked into the standard cassette interface! 5. Just something new to do on my 7800! 6. Proof everlasting that the Tramiels did NOT know what they were doing. I firmly believe the C-64 was the last good idea to ever be in his head!! WHEW!
-
So, will they be compatible with the temp/light probes and interface from the 8B line?
-
Laserdisc player. Allan 981687 Intresting..... I have a Firefox laserdisc and a Pioneer LD player with RS-232 I/O Now if I only had Curt's brain!
-
I stand corrected, I just read on Curt's site that the KB plugs into joystick port #2!!! Opps. so, WTF was the expantion port supposed to be used for anyway????
-
981674 Not really! There are TONS of them out there. I have four, 1 from ebay, and 3 found in the wild. They all have the expantion port. You may be able to solder the connector on the MLB yourself, I'm not sure if Atari removed/changed any of the internals when they removed the port. Suggestions, anyone???
-
And let's not forget that you will ALL need a 7800 *WITH* the expantion connector on it! I'm personally VERY hyped about this, 2006 is the year of the 7800!!!
-
So..... Where can a guy go to actually buy those upgrades here in the US? I noticed that www.myatari.com has the Happy upgrades, but that's it. Sheesh, and I thought JiffyDOS was expensive! and WTF is the deal with the SIO to PC connectivity, sounds neet, but I just don't 'get it'???
-
actually it does have a chroma, here's the pinout:
-
hey! I'm on the fence about gettign an 8B system and have a few questions: 1. Is there a rarity guide/complete list availible like AA does for other atari systems? 2. Does the XEgs have monitor output, or just RF? 3. I have a SVHS custom video cable for my C-64, will it work on a 65 or 130XE? 4. Is there a current FAQ anywhere?? I can only find old/crusty ones! 5. Which of the many floppy drives is best? Thanks all!!
-
What system do you play the most right now?
MaDDuck replied to Rhindle The Red's topic in Poll Forum
[< Grins!>] Would of been 7800, but I just got a gamecube and Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness and I'm HOOOOOOked! BTW, I love your poll, I've always concidered a 5200 to be 'other'! -
The voting is still close, with Seattle's best pulling a slight edge over the boy from Sunnyvale!!
-
Wow, how often has the C64 changed owners lately? Last I heard it belonged to an American outfit called Yaronimo Media Ventures (or some such thing). 969037 Sounds intresting! My C64 Dvt has the S-VHS mod, but my real C-64 takes care of all real C-64 stuff!! Any time frame or pics of the next Dtv????
-
WOW Harry........... You rock, BTW Taking the most common 2600 game (that everyone on the planet has played!) and reinventing it. Reverse, it's about time!!! I thought I was the only one that noticed we needed it. Pong shots, the only way to fly! Bouncing ordiniance, what could be better!?!? I'm hyped/impressed at the same time. The exact oppisite to what JINX did for me! Any other projects your working on Harry??
-
So.................... Getting back to the point! Is Combat 1990 just two player or is there a 1 player game? Does it have a label on the front & end? Any POKEY sound, or just TIA? Has anyonbe hear played it, is it fun??? I just blew $49.99 for a new Pokemon game (Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness) so I think $39.99 is still within a decent price range for collectors, but I PLAY my games, has to be fun to be worth it!
-
Impressive work! I hope a lot of developers use that tool. BTW, does it support 320 X 200 resolution? If not, what resolution were those screen grabs?? 959545 The pictures are in 160x mode. Mode 320 is not directly supported for pictures but you could "assemble" a picture in that mode. It's just a little bit more complicated. 961818 Is it worth the effort to do, or does it eat the system resources too much? ALSO- Which games are in 320 X 200 (Mode 320!), I looked in the screedshot page, and they all looked 160!
-
console envy??? If you *MUST* over-compensate, be like everyone else and get a 5200!!! Or a MAME cabinet. It's not the size of console that matters....... Be confident!

At last count, 511!!

Here's a link to the scan of the actual circular. Doesn't say. However, my understanding (which could be wrong) is that it is still the same product, and stores sell it for the same price regardless of screen - just look for the "new, improved screen" printing on the front of the box. 967488 The SP in the ad is **NOT** the new one!!! The new ones are Pearl Blue and Onyx ONLY. If you go to TRU, they have a yellow spongebob version.
