I have the newer SP with a better screen, and it is bright and gorgous!!! You can tell with it turned off if it's the new one or not by the color of the LCD, the new ones (Pearl and Onyx) have a BLACK LCD, not the grey-ish one like the other models. Buy one, just not from wal*mart, please. They are evil.

I agree, I beat the GC version (with the chainsaw, no less!!) and I feel no overwhelming urge to do it again. It's better than it used to be: The 7800 version of Ballblazers is faster than the 5200 version. But the colors are better on the 5200 version, etc.... At least the changes are less dramatic than Pac Man 5200 Vs. Pac Man 2600! Now when content is heavily shifted, (Like BMX XXX, etc....) then the GC version wins by virtue of being uncut because it was before Sony realized that people *WANT* to see boobies!

Redemption???? I thought that was 5200 only! Did I miss something?

OY! I dug and searched on the forums for this! Which wires do I cross/move for both buttons to work? I like the feel of the control stick, I have bigger hands than most girls! The Jaguar pad was PERFECT! If I could adapt it and get both buttons to work, that would be choice one. Thanks!!

360 Backwards Compatibility List...

Awe man, no Metal Slug!!! THANK GOD, I can still play Barbie's Horse Adventure!! WHEW -
Ahhh......... That brings me back! I was so taken with MY CV_MC (which worked 98% of the time, that I got the vectrex, 5200, and the 2600 one with the on-screen menu from him! My CV one was a bit flakey at first, but then I soldered in a new cartridge port to my CV and it works like a pro. The label was in decent shape, but it had TAPE lamination on it! I posted a picture of it here in the gallery. The 2600 one with the menu (I HATE dip switches, BTW) works PERFECTLY! I highly encourage getting one. The onl;y problem I could find is that there's no Pitfall II. I was REALLY looking forward to it, and actually bought it seperatly.

Impressive work! I hope a lot of developers use that tool. BTW, does it support 320 X 200 resolution? If not, what resolution were those screen grabs??

Or maybe even midi or mod files.....

I wouldn't be surprised if the CC2 wants a cluster size of 2K, which is the normal value for drives up to 128MB. FAT16 drives can go up to 2GB using 32K clusters, but that would require the CC2 to support different cluster sizes and I don't know if it does. 958938 The CC2 does support larger cluster sizes. It just has to be formatted in FAT16. Chad 958971 Thanks Chad! Glad I got that right from the horse's mouth, so to say!!! I *will* fill a 512MB card!! BTW, will CC2 play .mp3 files?????? 959309 BEFORE I GET FLAMED TO DEATH............ I'm kidding about .mp3 playback, but it sure would be nice!
-
Ssssh! Ignore it and it will go away. Or at least that's the that mentality I've resigned to now. 958579 Intresting. While noone actually wants a crash, except for maybe senator Leiberman, I doubt it will crash that hard again. Several very valid points were addressed on this thread, and I'd like to thank everyone that pitched in their 2c.

Or just remove the punctuation: no 1 quality!!!!

SWEET! Glad it works... I've been grabbing all of the ROMs and instructions, etc for a while now and I'm CLOSE to getting a CC2...
-
But I'd still like to know if it can handle more than 128MB.....
-
Good point, I just hate buying a single purpose item (>128MB MMC) for a multipurpose device (CC2) I use my current MMCs in my camera, MMC64, and N-GAGE QD. I just want to get the most 'bang for my buck' without having to go out of my way to source and buy a known inferrior card if I don't have to.....
-
I've just finished combing http://www.schells.com and I need some help! It says that the CCII will handle MMC cards all of the way upto 128MB. While I'd like to have a 7800 exclusive one, I have a few 512MB and the 1GB ones. Will they work too, or is 128MB the limit that it can address???

Don't get me wrong, I love the big "N"!! Always have - always will Look at what they've done for controllers: 1. Shoulder buttons 2. digital AND analog on the SAME controller 3. force feedback (rumble pak anyone?) 4. true ergonomice controller designn (from SNES on) So when ppl scoff and the Revolution controller, I say, "just wait, you'll see!" and everyone will rip them off!
-
I agree. I'm watching them very closely. As much as I want to love the 360, there are some warning signs: - I miss Ed Fries -- that corporate tool J Allard really rubs me the wrong way. - Very squishy language about backwards compatibility. I have a big XBOX collection and I'd really like to use just one machine if at all possible. "An array of XBOX games" isn't what I want to heard. - RAREware finally coming out of the closet with some impressive looking games. But after M$ spending $300 million to acquire them, and 5 years in development, they're almost certain to disappoint. - "The Minter Curse." Ha ha. I like the stuff this guy does, but it's "always" on "failed systems" like the Jaguar and the NUON. Whatever. - The hype for PS3 seems to be cracking a bit. Wonder what's up with that. These are of course only my opinions, and don't translate into mainstream predictions. I like everything ... DS, Jaguar, Dreamcast ... 956005 .....AND! Let's not forget the Revolution's global launch and FULL backwards cmmpatibility!! But the SMS/Genesis and 2600/7800 had it too and NOBODY cared (except ME!)

Good point..... When SEGA pulled out, we morned and moved on!
-
... .. . That'll get your attention! . .. ... Seriously, when and why do you think the next crash will happen? A few reasons jump to mind: 1. Nintendo not getting it right AGAIN! 2. shovelware 3. morbidly overpriced consoles Or could it be a mixture of all three. Or something totaly different.
-
Yeah......... I remeber buying my COMPLETE Jaguar library for $5.00 a game when I was workign for incredible Universe. I wish I'd of gotten 10 AvP, Atari carts, BD13. At least our Atari rep left Aircars there!! Mean 18 is fun, and worth it, BTW!!

the new coleco hardware (technosource USA)
MaDDuck replied to christianscott27's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Intresting Lord Helmet! Using sucks and gay on the same sentence! A little passive aggressive gay bashing, ehh..... Anyway, I picked up the sports one from Walgreens a few days ago, and the unit *IS* as uncomfortable to hold as it looks. I'm no expert, but it looks like a famiclone to me. The only plug -n- play systems I have are the incredible C-64 one and the mediocre Intellivision 10 in 1. By the way the screen looks, it could very well be a famiclone. The games actually play well, BION!!! Metoric shower wasn't *THAT* bad!!! Ohhhhhhh................ Can't wait for the new Colecovision system they promise!! I'll reserve my opinion for when it's launched. You never know, it could turn out to be good!!! Picture this: legacy cartridge port legacy controller compatibility (for SA, driving controllers!) expantion port would be nice (and mark III) Some way to take a flash card with a bizillion games on it! or it'll just be a famiclone with a smattering of 1st. party games on it! -
What is the: attractive carry case mentioned on the box?? I got a set new, 'in the day' and I don't remember a case????
