BTW, I love the CC2, I think it's the kind of innovative HW that the 2600/7800 users need. I got to play with an Intellivision one a while back and was VERY impressed with it!! I've since been to Chad's page and was duely blown away with the CC and even more so with the CC2. It's just for ME, $200 seems a bit steep.

That's apples an oranges. How many different banking schemes were invented for the C=64 cart port? The CC2 has to support all the 2600 and 7800 ones. I'm also sure that there was greater economy of scale involved in making the MMC64. The 7800 userbase is a small one. 934383 That's my point!! it techniclly is apples to apples....... the C64 userbase is small and emulators (and Wheels) rule the market. Most C64 useres are content with emulaiton and few would want to dust off 20 YO HW just to see a cool trippy hack-tro. The 7800 base seems to be a bunch of 2600'ers and anal-collectors that think it's more fun to leave fatal run in the plastic than it is to play it. The *REAL* gamers are fewer still. I respect collectors, but I am now and have always been a gamer. Any device to facilitate that (CC2, MMC64, multicart) I'm all for. If the MMC64 were $200, I wouldn't have gotten it. I would not have paid $300 for my 2600 MC (with on-screen text) nor would I shell out (pun intended) $200 for a CC2 as great of an item as it seems to be. The cost to play ratio is just not as close at that price point. Forgive the misspellings, I'm typing @ work!!!!

sure: Here's the official site with NO info on it!?: http://ami.ga/indexe.htm Here's more info about it: http://www.protovision-online.de/catalog/p...3c949305ac82fa5 And here's where I got mine: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 He lists them from time to time, just ask, he may should have more!!! Hope this helps! ALSO, it's on a red board, no case, and has a cartridge pass through, get one!!

I voted $100 I paid less than $70.00 for a MMC64 which is the same device (and WAY more) for the C64. It can play SID files, display pictures, take D64 files and convert them for use on real hardware. It even has a flashable BIOS. I also have a 7800 and would love the convience of that device on it!

Let me know what you think, and if you're interested! 929588 INTRESTED!!!!!!

Are you sure about that, Pole Position 2 is like the combat of the 7800. it was a pack in for every 7800. Planet Smashers is actually a rare game, and is a good game if you turn down the volume on the TV before playing... 926774 I'm kidding about it being rare!!! When I got Planet Smashers last year, there were 5 PP II's in the bin with it. I know it's as common as dirt, and unlike combat, there is NO tank pong option! and yes Planet Smashers is fun, I try to block out the sound, it's attrocious!

A few observations from a newbie! 1. The joysticks SUCK! They are only good in comparison to a 5200 stick. 2. That cartridge port is as tight as a...(use your imagination for a metaphor!) 3. The Atari joypads I picked up on Ebay 2 years ago, are now my controllers of choice. 4. The sound BITES! Forget POKEY & TIA, let's use a SID chip instead!! I got it on ebay (where else!) and other that one of the crappy controllers (pro line) being crushed during shipping, it all works great. AND..... One of the two included games PP II, won't work! That's such a shame concidering that it's the rarest game ever made for it! :!: I already had a small library of thrift-store 7800 games (Winter Games, Impossible Mission, Ballblazer, Dig Dug, One on One and Planet Smashers) so I'm glad I can finally play them after several years of them sitting in a drawer!! Here's the one I got: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1 Very happy with it, bring on the HOME BREWS!!!!!

Any of you Colecovision Fans have one of these?
MaDDuck replied to Lord Helmet's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I'll trade you my DINA Personal Arcade for it! Troy 895144 SWEET!!! I'll trade you a 7800 mod and a coleco vision all in 1 multicart for it! -
Prolines ARE good, but it's the lack of a CHOICE that stinks!! I like them too, BTW! But I also like the Gamecube controller so what's that say about my taste. .
-
bite the bullet and pay through the nose for the WICO coleco controller! I did and I've never looked back. I like my CV and have made 2 INVESTMENTS in it: 1. a SET of WICO command controlls 2. a all-in-1 multicart Luckily I could afford it at the time!! the 7800 is a bit more limited to OEM and those funky Euro pads. It may be possible to mod a Genesis (Mega Drive) controller, but I've no idea how....
-
Why don't you do that then? Inty IIs are quite simple to mod.... 912378 Because I distroyed 2 psx MLBs trying to put mod chips on them. It made me a bit gun shy!!! I always go through a pro and get them to do the dirty work. I have all of my consoles modded though. From the NEO-GEO AES and xbox to the Gamecube. If it CAN be modded, it is. I don't like 'the man' telling me I can't see the blood/play the game/or watch a region 2 DVD, etc.....
-
Oh well! I just *HAD* to ask....... BTW the SVA II isn't THAT rare. I've seen quite a few of them in person. Now a 2800, THAT'S rare! I just REALLY want an AV mod'ed VCS. And as unique as that alone is, I don't want it to be a common heavy (or light) 6'er or 4 switcher either. In a perfect world, I'd have my intellivision II modded and use the System Changer or get the SVA II modded or even a Gemini!! Oh well, might pick up a 2600 Jr for just this purpose! I read your first post and know it's different, put it may be aceptible anyway! Thanks man, excuse me AIR-man....
-
Well if thats what you want... I don't know where it can come out, but I know of a push button I can get, and I know the cable I can use too to make it work. I got nice long speaker wire in pairs, that'll work perfectly. We'd just have to figure out where the wire could come out of. I could always drill a small hole next to the reset switch 902905 Sounds scarry!!!!! So, I'm glad you're nailing the 7800 mod!! Think you might be up for a Sears video arcade 2 mod (AKA Atari 2800)? IIRC, it uses the same bord as the 4 switcher, can anyone back me up on that as this is the only 2600 in my current collection

Intellivision TutorVision found w/games
MaDDuck replied to Chuck Gill's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Roi, I'm almost embarrassed to say. The woman I bought it from thought no one would be interested in it and priced it very low. I had no idea how sought after it was at the time either. It was $5.00 games included. -Chuck 853519 FIVE DOLLARS????? I'll DOUBLE that!!
