I'd LOVE to buy a brand new real C64. As time passes I want more details. Like will they do keyboards or at least keycaps?
-
I love the two tone one, and different logo designs are cool!
-
I got a CMD controller back in the day. It was a Genesis pad that had the other traces removed leaving just the A button active. Works great on everything needing a 9 pin connector.
-
Before I started parting her off, I was running her with a paravision (4GBHDD) , external flicker fixer, and Amiga 4000 keyboard.
I tried so hard to make her a daily use computer. It was a fun experiment.
I still have the keyboard.

I'm looking for at least a 1 GB machine a 1040ST or higher, or an STE or Mega 2 would be great with mouse, etc...
Also... I can sweeten the deal with an Amiga 4000 keyboard and a ps/2 to Amiga mouse adapter.
I stopped the bay auction for the CD32 before it got any bids.
Here it is:

Ah yes!!!! One of a handful of truly great CD32 games.

-
I got my 4160ste from best... runs flawless and it's beautiful!
That's encouraging
I'm now leaning more towards an STE
WTH is a 4160ste?????

Don't know if you are still looking, but I have the, "Shooter pack" by Macplay up on my eBay right now.
-
Any takers? The CD32 is in great shape and is here:

I'll stop the auction for a good enough offer.

My Commodore SX-64 has an LCD screed mod in it.
I'll send this thread to the guy that did it, he may be able to help.
-
Sorry.

My bad.
I moved it over to the marketplace.

That's actually exactly what I'm looking for, but without the monitor or printer.
Want to trade for an Amiga CD32?
I was offered $350 for a TT030 with monitor, but no printer. That offer was about a month ago and seems around fair-ish

A lot of stuff:
Tandy 600 AC adapter
CD32 with original controller and mouse adapter
CD32 competition pro control pad
cocolino PS/2 to Amiga mouse adapter
Some MAC software.
Shooter pack includes:
SIN gold
HeXen II
Heretic II

Removed and moved top marketplace.
Sorry

Hey guys and gals

I just posted an Amiga CD32 and separately a competition pro CD32 pad.

Android8675, you have made some great points.
I love to tinker (I keep my 1985 Corvette running well) and I can solder, so doing some poking around under the hood is fine. I've turned two dead C64's into one working C64!

I just want to get a system, like the 520STFM that I bought new from The Floppy Wizard in Houston Tx, that is hassle free.
I am, right now, about to list my Amiga CD32, Competition pro CD32 pad, and other oddities from my collection to help with getting the St.
Want to trade????
I have had mixed luck buying systems from eBay in the past. I have gotten either damaged in shipping or POS passed off as working 2 Atari 600XLs, an Amiga A600, and a SX-64.
So I'm willing to pay a bit more for the piece of mind
Also...... I LOVE the new computer smell!

-
The Ste would the best way to go! If you get it from best-electronics or myatari you'll have a warranty on your new St.

That's what I'm thinking. I'd pay a bit more, but I would have as close to a new system as possible, no yellowing, etc...
Are either of the companies active on the forums? I've never ordered from either one before.
I'm budgeting about $500 for whichever ST and the CB102582-6 2nd Best monitor cable. Hopefully cubase will "fall off of a truck"...

-
Yup!
I have a shoebox full of personal info disks that thankfully was not lost, so I'm good. I haven't lost any actual important info.
-
Good point, but I don't think my needs will evolve past games, Masterplan, cubase, DEGAS elite and Deluxe paint ( I know, it's blasphemy, but I like it.)
If having the extra RAM would be beneficial, then great.
-
What do you want to get?
A regular stock 520? 1040?
STE?
Megas?
Brian
Good question.
I'd like to go either 1040STE or a 520STF with 1 MB of RAM or more.
A Mega 2 ST would be great, but a bit ritch for my blood.

Cubase notator.
