  1. For reasons beyond my control, my one owner, 520STFM, games, utilities, everything! is gone. I have to start over. I have been looking over best-electronics new or myatari I am fearful about getting one from eBay. When people list it as untested, it could be roach infested or worse... Has anyone here bought one from them? Is it worth it to get a newish system with a 90 day warranty? Now I just have to dig on line to replace my software. That will be no fun at all.
  2. I just use RGB, 15Hz or s-video cables from the SNES, AES, XE, C-128 and Amiga going into the box. It's a bad case of cable spaghetti, but it works great! You will have to dig a bit to get all of the correct cables to do it. As for going ST into it, my suggestion would be to go RGB SCART out for low/med and direct VGA to HDMI for high resolution.
  3. I am subscribing to this thread. I have gotten a treasure trove of info from it and and damn right I'm following.
  4. Hmmmmm... It would not allow me to edit my post directly above this!? I wanted to correct the monitor that my ST will be hooked up to; it will not be the NEC, but I'll have her on my Dell UltraSharp 2001FP. It should look great in all 3 resolutions.
  5. I love my XRGB framemeister!!! It makes my SNES, AES, XE, C-128 and Amiga look absolutely perfect! I have an F18 board installed in my TI-99/4A and a converter to go HDMI and it looks perfect. I use an HD Retrovision component cable to keep my Sega Genesis system looking as close to perfect as possible The pixels are so sharp, you could cut yourself. I think the BEST ELECTRONICS cable should do it, I'll have it hooked unto a multi sync NEC Multisysnc 19 inch, 1990S for a perfect picture. I have been "chasing the unicorn" to get the best picture possible. I demand perfection. BTW, you NEVER catch the unicorn! It's a lifelong quest for the best picture possible.
  6. So the Best Electronics VGA cable it is then. PERFECT Thanks a million!
  7. Ahh.... But will the coolnovelties cabe allow you to switch between low/med and high resolution? If so how? Is there a key or something to hold down to force it to boot one way over the other?
  8. Thanks a ton!! I'll prob. go to SCART to my Framemeister, it should be able to handle atari's low/med resolutions fine, but I may have to run a second cable for high resolution
  9. Think you can maybe recommend one? The search pulled up mixed results. Monochrome seems easy, but low/med resolution should work fine with any composite to VGA/HDMI adapter.
  10. Thanks, dog! That is exactly the info that I was looking for, but couldn't find. Now I'm really excited for them.
  11. Does anyone here have any further details on it? I've got it preordered anyway, it looks like it could be great.
  12. I love Lasso! That's one of the games that brought me to the TI in the first place. I collect SNK games too.
  13. I used to use an 810 as a monitor stand for my 800XL's LCD screen, it kept it at the perfect height. Just sayin'
  14. Well all of the cables are in! I have the F18A installed (piece of cake!) It is going through the VGA to HDMI adapter that Ω recommended and it makes a beautiful 640 X 480 extra sharp picture. The HDMI cable is plugged into the HDMI input on my XOBXONE to try to get some good screen captures. If only this was in stock: https://www.arcadeshopper.com/wp/?page_id=11#!/ATARISoft-Multicart/p/62232986/category=16641009 I'd be one happy camper! Thanks to everybody.
  15. Very cool, thanks!! I've managed to collect all Commodore 64,VIC20 ones but the TI books are a bit more elusive.
  16. Other that one TI Games book, did Compute! make any other TI books?
  17. Ohh cool!!! I just want a microPEB that is reliable and easy to use
  18. I wish I could. I have no programing skills. I'm more of a hardware guy than a software guy.
  19. Nice. I like how this thread evolved from a question about a megademo, troll accusation, real talk about programing. Very nice,
  20. The Vita games sold, and the SID Symphony has 3 hours to go!!
  21. Oh. Here's an example of the demand for the SID chip I'm selling my SID Symphony on eBay: http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbay&gbh=1 And it's already up to $81.00
  22. True dat, Asmusr But..... The SID chips are fracking awesome and the VIC II lets you control graphics timing down to the scan line.
  23. I know this is a stretch, but has there ever been a megademo made for our 99's like on the Commodore C64? The 99 doesn't have the prowess of the VIC II or SID chips, but I think they can do some very good things especially since the F18A board is so popular,
