Hey....... I've seen these all over Ebay and iun a couple o local shops. one of the sellers swear it's not a NOAC system, but if it is or isn't does it matter? Does anyone here have one, and if so, how is the compatibility on SNES/NES games and controllers? thanks!!

Explain this, please. Exactly how did Tramiel kill Commodore? Did he sneak back into Commodore head offices and blow up the blueprints and chipsets for the C65 in 1992? Did he engineer Commodore's ill-thought out foray into console gaming? Was he the mind behind Commodore's "business line" of PC clones? He's certainly not my favourite computer pioneer, but I just don't get the hate for him. Sorry it took so long to reply! The way he killed Commodore was (and I may misspell the names! And I had a lot more active brain cells at the time so I may miss it a bit, but this is as close as I remember!) was letting Mehdi Ali (the CFO is memory serves) run the thing when he left. Irving Gould had a successor lined up to fill Jacks shoes, his name escapes me, but when Jack left, he played his final trump card and put Ali in charge! He once said Commodore makes the most money making cheap calculators! great attitude, I'll butter you up and squirt you through the board of directors and put you in charg=e on my way out. I believe the only good he did was: 1. survived the Holocaust. 2. the settlement with MOS technologies that streamlined chip design and production, without it, there would be no SID! 3. Bought a stagnant Atari and did as much good as he did bad for it. 4. Eventually released the 7800, but blew just about everything else with it. 5. Gave a priceless quote about the Playstation. When Sony announced a price drop, he said that it was dumping and that's illegal! How about be competitive and make a product people actually want instead of crying to your Uncle Sam about it? Anyway, enough of the rant! In this day and age, we have our Ballmers, and Jobs, and Nintendoes to wow us. The Tramiel generation and way of doing business is thankfully gone! I miss that age, but honestly, I love my iPhone and wouldn't trade my wii or Mac mini in for anything! I love my video game consoles from the 5200 to the Neo Geo, 360, and wii. Heck I even still have a Pippin. All of those were not created in a vacuum! The market has evolved. With few exceptions, there are no villains! I have no love for the Tramiels, and Trip Hawkins has more than outlived his usefullness! It's a brave new world!

Opps! Double post.

It closed, and did not sell! Ironic thing, is that if they'd of started it lower, it would of prob. sold for more!!

Hope mine got shipped out already..... Have a great vacation!

You want to know what killed the Home Computer market? Two words: Jack and Tramiel He started and then killed Commodore, and cheapened Atari. I believe he was the focal point of the entire thing. He IS the grassy knoll!

E-mail sent!! Will send $$$ when I get reply. I can hardly wait!

Shaping up very well! will be following this one very closely!

Awe geez... Save me reading 5 pages please. How much and to whom?
-
Will they be EXACTLY THE SAME as the first run? Or more specificly, will there be any way to tell them apart, and will there be any advantages/disadvantages to either?

IIRC, last time this came up in another forum, Playmore has the Data East rights. They acquired them as part of the OLD SNK license deal, and when SNK folded (a sad day for all!) Playmore got those in the package. Kind of like how Sony ended up with Q*Bert! I'll try to find and copy the old thread.

So anyway, Pac Man Plus, Love the collection, did a great job on it. Mucho appreciated! I have PAC MAN World Rally, PAC MAN World 1,2,3, 4 different NAMCO museums, and PAC MAN Pinball, and PAC MAN Special COLOR version for CBC, NAMCO has enough of my money for PAC MAN, NOT counting in the 1980's when I played it in the arcade! LOL How can I scam one of those sweet boxes? It'll look good on my shelf right next to Adventure II! Thanks man

Awesome, You'll love it, you'll go WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE all over the carpet! j/k! I waited outside of a Best Buy for 12 hours to get one, just like I did for PSP, N64, PS2, PS3. I love the experience! I've always met nice people in line, EXCEPT for the PS3 launch, there was a since of doom in the air. Go figure!? For the Wii launch, it was wifi DK racing and Tetris DS. Congrats on the Wii, but Wal*Fart? really? REALLY??

Oh man.... The work is being done, the case has been finalized. This could be the shiz-nit, Curt! When will you start taking preorders? Thanks!
-
Will they be numbered as before??
-
LOL! I have it as a saved search. I love Adventure II, BUT............. If it shoots up over say, $400.00 It'll test my love!

Best questions to ask when looking to buy an older 7800 on eBay
MaDDuck replied to rwilloug's topic in Atari 7800
I had the same problem! The brittle-ass plastic will crack too easily. So a BIG yes on over-packing. You can never use enough bubblewrap! -
I think this is the one I had heard about. Thanks for the info everyone. I HAVE that device!!! Here's a couple of cautions: 1. It plays this funky 'Gameboy '70's p0rn' soundtrack in the background, it's funny-cool for about the first 20-30 minutes! 2. It will kill ANY save-game info, and not allow you to save from any game in progress. Bad for Pokémon, good, for Tetris! 3. You have to plug ANY official N64 game into the pass-thu connector. Other than that, plug Tetris in, turn the sound down, put on the music of your choice and your smokin'!

nice.... I got a chance to play Atari collection yesterday, and it wasn't horrible! is it the same as this version? http://tinyurl.com/2y3b5c there's no game list on it and I can't tell too much from the picture! Anyone have this version??

At the time of their release Canadian money was worth more than American money. Hopefully we're on the way to this again. Nah, as soon as Bush Jr. is gone the USD is gonna go back up. He's NOT a Jr.!!! Daddy is George Herbert Walker Bush (or Nancy) SOB (Son Of a Bush) is George Walker Bush You know, Walker like Texas Ranger! But he's from connecticut though! My brain hurts, VODKA time!!

Let me be the first to say, "THANK YOU!!!!" As much as I love it on a 5200. I have a VGA adapter on my 65XE and it would look even better. Let's all leave the nice man alone so he can bank switch!!

Honestly........... I'm color blind and subtle differences like that are impossible for me to discern. That being said, I'm so used to it, I kept playing and trying keys until it worked. Now you have a little taste of the hell that is my daily life!

H.E.R.O.'s NOT on Anthology!?! That's a rant for a different day. I 'm very glad that you and others have chimed in here. Since Adventure II came out, I started talking to a friend that I don't like very much, because I knew he has a 5200! I bought a "like new" controller from eBay that barely worked. And a NEW remanufactured one from Best Electronics! NOW I need to buy my own 5200. If nothing else, Adventure II has spurred a jump in the market for 5200 stuff!

Awesome idea.... work it, flesh it out, let's see! I want one, BTW!!
