  1. Thanks all, reassembled and it's working just fine. Cheers!
  2. It booted fine but I could see some of the caps were starting to bulge and discolor, so it seemed to be reasonable maintenance.
  3. Well that’s a relief to hear, I tried putting a 3K resistor but that was probably too low, I’ll play with that a bit more. Thanks!
  4. Hello, I'm in the process of re-capping my Atari 800 using a Console5 kit (https://console5.com/store/atari-800-computer-cap-kit.html). I measured the voltage rails while the machine was assembled and got normal results. After recapping the PSU, I measured the voltages with the PSU disconnected from the main board. The 12V rail read 12.2V, but the 5V rails measure 8.9V. This has me wondering whether I screwed something up or if it's normal while the PSU is disconnected (but I'm wary of connecting it to find out...). I double checked the polarity of the caps, their values, and for shorts; everything seems to be alright from there (I can attach a photo if it would be helpful). Any advice? Thanks in advance!
