i received the cart that Albert sent me and tried it and it didnt work either.

 

I don't know, i guess it's my atari. But it plays all my other games!! grr.

 

any knmown compatibility issues?

Hey guys,

 

my copy of paul slocum's synth cart came in the mail today, and it DOESNT WORK!

 

i know its not my atari because i can run lotsa other games on it when i power it on i just see blue white and black vertical lines. anyone else have this problem? suggestons? im SO disapointed

yeah its strange the coloration is right, but theres a "tie dye" effect on everything: like theres no solid colors, purple will fade to blue and then back to purple.

 

but i suspect this is because my game switch sucks. im gonna try the coaxial -> rf direct converter. eventually ill do the composite video

hmm i seem to have the same atari that you have, but i just passed it off as a light sixer because it has the orange rim around the switches and cart slot

Hey everyone,

 

i just bought my first atari 2600, primarily because i LOVED paul slocum's synthcart when i tried it on my computer. My atari powers on alright and plays sound fine, but the colors often "bleed," and the colors are off; green comes up as a weird blue/purple. for example, the backgrounds to 'combat,' 'stampede' and 'street racer' are this color.

 

is this a problem with my atari? ive tried cleaning the connectors, playing with rthe channels on the tv and the atari. ive tried it on a few different tvs and this problem is there every time.

 

has this happened to anyone else? any ideas?
