Hello everyone,
I've been a lurker on the forums on and off for many years, but I thought that you might like to see my twins. Two Atari 800's. One is my original system that I bought new in about 1981-1982 or so I believe and the other one is a referb I got from B&C some years later to add a memory upgrade to from an article in Analog magazine. (Dr. Brilliant 256k I think) Both have recently been upgraded with incognito boards, and one just got a Sophia 2 in the last week. (I've purchased a Sophia 2 for the other one but it will be a while before the install happens). The Sophia 2 DVI output is just beautiful!! After I did the install and turned it on for the first time, I just stood there staring at it in disbelief, I could believe this was my old 800!! I've also just recently gotten a Fujinet as you can see in the picture. I don't have anywhere to set these up yet, but hope to set up desk and monitor in the next few months. I've also got a 1200xl that I got from B&C in probably about 1989. It's been in storage for years and of course the keyboard no longer works as is par for the course with those. I can't believe all the new hardware for the 8-bits that is available, and I want to thank all the developers for keeping the Atari's alive and improving them.
I've got a few peripherals also, a 1050 (motor doesn't spin when turned on), an xf551, a 1025, a 1020, a 410 (bought with the original 800), an SIO2SD, and I had an XDM-121 but I can't seem to find that and it may have been lost in a move.
All the best to everyone and have a great day!! and remember Play those Atari's!!!!
