  1. Thanks for the replies. Trying to discern the colors on the bands from that picture may be my only chance. I'm actually the one that removed the resistors but that's a good point about the chip with the writing on it. I hadn't even noticed that.
  2. Hi everyone. I'm a new member to the site and a new Atari ST owner. I have a damaged 1040STFM motherboard and I'd like to try to repair it (I've attached a picture of the damaged area). I know it's going to be tough and my expectations for getting it to work are actually pretty low but, hey, it's a hobby and I'm sure it will fun trying. It's a C103225 Rev 1 board. It's pretty clear that something fell on the board. There are a couple of broken traces and a couple of damaged eyelets from what I assume was a previous botched attempt at a repair. Before I even attempt to repair those, I need to determine which resistors go in each position. I tried finding a schematic online but the only one I could find is not very clear and I'm not even sure if it's the schematic for my exact board (not to mention how difficult those things are for a noob to read). Can anyone offer any suggestions on how I can find out what resistors I need? Maybe someone has that kind of information readily available that they would be willing to share or maybe a picture that's clear enough that I can see the bands? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
