This bug would occur if you're base was hit after you had hit the Boss four times. I add some code to eliminate this and rechecked Base hits after Boss Hits 1 to 7. Thanks for finding this ... it was a nasty one. Thanks Dave SpaceBattle.bin

Hi, Another Update Fixed random bomb appearances. Inhibited Fuel consumption after Last Enemy has been hit. Inhibited Bomb drop after Last Enemy has been hit. Fixed frame rate skip. Fixed "slow bombs" in Boss Level. Any Feedback is appreciated. SpaceBattle.bin Thanks, Dave

Hi, Another update Changed opening tune to something better...kinda catchy...maybe. Fixed shield sound during title screen bug. Added explosion annimation and sound to large enemies when they die. Fixed landing pad graphics glitch. Fixed no explosion after running out of fuel bug. Fixed scanline jump on shields up bug. Added brief pause after landing. Still looking at random bomb appearances. Thanks! It has startled me a couple of times also. I was going for a random computer-like startup tune, but it didn't come out too well. I'll put something in that is more pleasing and fix the "shields up" sound bug. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that ... I'll add it in. Opps, thought I fixed that one. I'll track down these bugs. Yes, that would look a lot better! Thanks for all the comments/suggestions. You seem to have checked it out pretty thoroughly and I appreciate it. This coding is fun stuff !! Dave

Thanks! Cool idea ... Enemies speed ramps up now during each level with several different patterns for the levels. I have tried different speeds of shots ... hard to find the right balance. That sounds a lot more fun than what I have! This is very helpful feedback! ... Thanks Dave

Hi, I got some more feedback and made a few improvements! The enemies now move to the edge of the screen and "wrap around" to the other side. There is now a short pause after the last enemy is killed in each level for a smoother transition. The Landing Screen must be completed before each "Main Battle" level. The Landing Screen has a "Rogue Enemy" that must be avoided or you will be destroyed. The Landing Screen depletes fuel if you thrust and also depletes fuel if do not land on the landing pad. The Base cannot move after it has been hit. SpaceBattle.bin Any more feedback is appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Hey, what's the story with that screen embedded in the wall? Thought it would be cool to mount a touch screen in the wall and play while sitting on the couch. Used a remote push button and relay for the power and another momentary contact pushbutton for the credits.

Its open to everything right now but I plan to run only Vertical one or two button Games. I used a Ms Pac CP overlay and put a couple of extra button holes to the left of the Joystick. Its not completely finished yet.

Been collecting around 25 years current collection includes Tempest Space Wars Star Wars (cockpit 25" Monitor) Hang-On Baby Pacman PacMan Galaxian Pole Position Operation Wolf Asteroids Tron Homemade cocktail 3in1 (Galaxian Space Invaders Galaga) Homemade cocktail Mame Touch Screen built into wall Had some success doing minor board and monitor repairs. Had more fun fixing than playing.

I love that thing. I find mine at a yard sale for way too cheap. I like how it has a space invaders clone and a two player variation as well as the standard Galaxian mode. The upright Galaxian is fun too. First game I bought 25 years ago! My Game Room The arcade Galaxian rocks! I took a closer look at that picture and it looks like the Galaxian upright is actually a multi-game machine and the Pac-Man next to it has what looks like the Pac-Man from the cartoon in the screen. I'm guessing that Pac-Man is a multi-game machine too? The VFD table top on it looks very nice. Baby Pac-Man too! Yep, the Galaxian has the Macro multi-game and the Pac has the 96 in 1 multi-game by Mike Doyle. I also have a Tempest with Clay Cowgill's multi-Tempest and a cockpit Star Wars with the Star Wars and Empire Strikes back multi-game. Space Wars, Hang-On, Pole Position, Operation Wolf, Asteroids, Tron, Homemade cocktail 3in1 (Galaxian Space Invaders Galaga) round out the current collection

Hi, Minor update to the landing sequence ... using a missile to simulate exhaust gases. Press up on joystick to fire thruster during landing sequence. Added background color and sound to indicate a botched landing. Changed the scoring. Fixed a couple of graphics glitches. Made a manual. Thanks for looking. Dave Space_Battle.zip

Hi again, Touched up the title screen ... not enough bytes for my name anymore ...wah! I changed the landing pad so it moves in the "horizon bar" and stops moving when you get closer to it. If you miss the landing pad your landing is aborted and you get bounced back up to try again. Currently, there is no penalty for missing your landing. If you pause the game when you fire to resume, you must land again. Thanks for looking. Dave SpaceBattlesBeta3z.bin

Hi, This version has the Fuel Pod soft land and wait until you pick it up or until the next enemy is killed. If you camp under it you can replenish all of you fuel but be careful or you might get caught and explode SpaceBattlesBeta3yy.bin
