Funny / Stupid / Crazy / Lame Auction Listings
poobah replied to nofrills100's topic in Auction Central
Sheesh, I guess I can retire on the tubs of floppies in the basement -
FWIW..... Sometimes in life, we make mistakes, and IMHO, you suck it up and move on. No bullshit fantasy stories or intricate lies. I once listed a rather rare memory board for $1 BIN (it was supposed to be $1 starting bid). Someone snapped it up, and got a great deal, because my mistake, not theirs. edit: full disclosure, the buyer sent me an extra $50 (still way below value, but hey), because I honored the auction. People respect those who honor their word, not so much for those who make it up.

I used to do game reviews online (3dgaming.net) back around 1999 or so, and we were brutally honest... I remember when I did the review of Interstate 82, I joked in the summary that I probably won't be getting any exclusive invites from Activision in the future. (It was a *horrible* game)

Pico's usually get fed +12v through the round connector. The other connectors are outputs. -

To start an ATX power supply, you have to short pin 14 to ground (pin 15, 16 and 17 are all grounds). Both of these pins are on the power supply side, has nothing to do with the falcon. Normally you connect a momentary contact switch across 14 and 15. -

ATX power supplies need a wire grounded to start up. Look here: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-power-up-an-ATX-Power-Supply-without-a-PC/ -

Sent an email, got a response right away. Awesome Thanks!
-
Actually, I did. Most of it is posts of the "I sent an email and never heard anything back what do I do now" variety. Hence, asking for current process to avoid the same issue.
-
Well, I'd definitely be interested in a copy. What is the process to register for batch #2?

A wasn't all that bad. I'd definitely use it over B.
