  1. I have a small lot of spares to sell or trade, some in better condition than others. You can see the list at http://www.slor.net/a8/tradelist.html, and feel free to PM me with questions, requests for photos, etc. I'm always open to trades for other items, so let me know if you have anything to offer. thanks! James
  2. Hey - this is good to hear. An 8-bit Moria is something I toyed with a couple times in the past, though I never made a whole lot of progress given the limitations I was working with and my general lack of time for such fun stuff. I'm curious about a couple things: 1. Which specific Moria version/variant did you base it on? 2. Did you do a full port of Curses as part of the project, or did you just re-implement the specific screen functions you need for Moria? If you end up needing/wanting any help with the port, feel free to drop me a line. I have been in the main code quite a bit, including a brief effort to bring 5.5d up to speed with some of the Mac enhancements and put it in a Curses-SDL presentation layer. James
  3. ROM dumps are attached. Interestingly enough, the manual that came with my AE cart (the one that prints the errors output) does not show the errors output in the manual samples. The manual is dated 1981. James asms.zip
  4. FYI - I have both the Editor Assembler (no catalog #) and Assembler Editor (CXL4003) original carts. Here are the diffs between mine: EA: - Does NOT show error count - 2 chips: CO14503A-03 (1980) and CO12403A-05 (1982) AE: - DOES show error count - 1 chip: CO60303A-29 (1980) To me, that would indicate that the one without the error count might be newer than one with, the opposite of what I was thinking before I opened them up. James
  5. Don't see why not. I don't actually own one anymore, but I'm pretty sure another local Atari enthusiast could lend me one to get the pattern. James
  6. Yup - see the Disk Drives section: http://www.slor.net/a8/covers.html
  7. They're available. Updated last night: http://www.slor.net/a8/covers.html FYI - My wife is machine-agnostic. She has equally little use for all the platforms... Thanks James
  8. Now that sounds cool I second that, I would like one for the MIO too. I would also like one for xf551 and 1050 drives. I am planning to order one for my 800xl and possibly 1200xl/130xe. Are different vinyl colors available? She can certainly do drives. I'll get those measured next and update the price list. And yeah, different colors are available. Black, beige, brown, grey, probably red, green, blue, etc. depending on what the store has on a given day.
  9. I'm pretty sure the vinyl comes in a shade or two of beige, so I expect we could find something close. There's a way to get kind of a rainbow logo with little effort. They actually make rainbow thread, so the logo can be embroidered with that. It's obviously not as defined as you might see a Fuji, but it's a pretty cool effect.
  10. She works the covers to leave open whatever you need on the backs. Anything nonstandard, just a picture from you is enough to figure it out. You can probably guess there was a lot of that with MG's machines. If you want one color for your logo and another for each part of text, I know that's not a problem. Anything else, just let me know what to ask or I'll get you in direct contact with the maker herself.
  11. Drop me a line and let me know what you're thinking of. It all depends on the design and what it will take for my wife to convert it to an embroidery pattern. James
  12. Measurements have been taken for all the systems I happen to own at the moment, and my wife has provided me with a list of prices for them. You can find the info here: http://www.slor.net/a8/covers.html If you happen to be interested in something for a machine you don't see listed there, just drop me a line and we'll see if I can get ahold of one. Thanks! James
  13. Hey everyone. Based on the response from this thread, I'm in the midst of putting an official price list online for "Mrs. Slor". Once we finish that up tonight, I will post the link here and reply to each of you that has already contacted me. In general, she can do either fabric or vinyl in a variety of colors. Personally, I like the vinyl a lot better than the fabric due to its thickness and general durability, and the white on black color scheme seems to be a favorite for the folks that have them already. Answers to a couple questions: Q. Can you make them in leather? A. There's a possibility, but I doubt it at this point due to the relative toughness of working with leather compared to the other materials. That's something we'd jut have to get a scrap of leather and try out to know for sure. Q. Can you make other covers besides the ones already mentioned? A. Absolutely. The general rule is my wife can make a cover for anything I already own or someone is willing to send me to use as a model. She won't send anything out that she can't be sure will fit when it's done. The good news on that is I have a wide variety of Atari 8-bit, ST/TT, Commodore, Apple, and other machines. You'll be able to see what I have when I put up the price list, and you can ask about anything you don't see there. Q. Can you ship outside the United States? A. Indeed. She just charges actual postage to wherever it's going. Thanks! James
  14. Still looking, and I keep missing them hidden in lots on eBay! Anyone?
  15. Anyone have one to spare? thanks!
  16. Heh - the guy listing it bought it from beamer320i on eBay for about $30.00: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 150471649936 zz11zz and linda1170 are the same person (well, they tell me they're husband and wife anyway).
  17. I'm with you - I saw that up there, and it's substantially out of my price range.
  18. Just need Zone Ranger and Carnival Massacre now. Thanks!
  19. Does anyone here know the origins of these two label variations? Editor Assembler appears to be the same software as Assembler Editor (I need to check that again to confirm - it seems like there might have been one byte different when I compared them years ago) but labelled with the different name and no CXL part number. Also, Star Raider has the exact same part number, and appears to be the same software, as Star Raiders. I wrote the author a while back to see if he had any knowledge of the variation: Hi James, The name I came up with was "Star Raiders", with an 's'. I don't remember exactly where I got the name from. I remember making a page full of names and "Star Raiders" was everyone's favorite. Not sure what the deal is with "Star Raider", maybe someone made a typo? Was Editor Assembler just an early release that was renamed? Was Star Raider a typo in the first release? Been curious about both of these for a while, so any insight would be appreciated. thanks! James
  20. If you have either for sale/trade, please drop me a line. Thanks! James
  21. One other related note - if anyone needs a good price on domain registration, feel free to drop me a line. I have a pretty good reseller account with eNom and can get you set up for registration at a nice discount. James
  22. Ah - Look to the left side of the main page for the "Mega Plan". That should get you what you're looking for. And yeah, it's always fun coming up with a suitable and still available domain name... James
