Atari 5200 - 4 port - power modification. WARNING: BIG !
DarthCloud replied to CPUWIZ's topic in Atari 5200
My take on the power mod (and av mod). I removed most of the RF circuit ( you could just remove C48) then connect a 1N5400 diode from the coax pad to the positive C45 pad. That allow using the rca connector to plug power in. I dont like to have the wire hard connected between the pcb and the case. Easier to take apart later if needed. Same for video 3.5mm cable connect through the L2 hole of the shield. -
Had almost forgot about this, sad to see Curt health issues, but nice to see him still involve in the project after all those years & problems. Cant wait to try out that DK XM one day

How to wire up two buttons for using Genesis/Megadrive pads
DarthCloud replied to oky2000's topic in Atari 7800
This is the adapter I've built and I use for both 2600 and 7800 game work just like a real 7800 controller. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/188764-sega-genesis-wireless-controller-question/?p=2390066 -
All, forgot those emails they are useless. If you need info refer to the status page linked to in the first few post of this thread. Curt already said he will email everyone once the project is complete to verify everyone address.

Are the case only snap together? How do you take them apart safely? I do have an EPROM writer, and a UV light to erase the chip.

Tips for Sending Packages: List Your Dos and Don'ts
DarthCloud replied to Random Terrain's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I've some packages send back to the seller by the post office because the seller didn't wrote my address correctly and/or their writing quality was bad. Luckily for me, the post office didn't trash them and the sellers send the packages back to me. So my tips is: 1. Copy the address from the buyer email or Paypal. 2. Paste it in Word. 3. Change size to something like ~26. 4. Print it on paper. 5. Cut the address with scissor. 6. Tape it on the package with clear tape all over it. Also even if the post office use a shipping form they put on the box with the address, it's alway good to have the address wrote in big characters somewhere else on the box. -
Awesome! Need to save money to get all those games!
