  1. Paid for it yesterday via PayPal; it's on the way now.
  2. Off the top of my head: 1) Better functioning controllers (not too much the joysticks, though self-centering would be a plus; I mean the buttons in general-i.e. "Start" and "Fire" buttons. 2) I'll also say smaller case, while I like Big Daddy, it would mean more room (Atari should've released the 5100) 3) Converting the 4-port from a propriety box to a standard switch box and move the AC adapter to the back of the unit, just like the 2-port 4) Backward compatibility with the 2600 games WITHOUT the adapter 5) An official paddle control, so we won't have to mutilate our joysticks.
  3. That's pretty rare! Even more than the paddles made in the same fashion. Pretty good find you got there.
  4. After all this time I finally got myself a Heavy Sixer off of eBay last night. It has no controllers, but that's ok because I'm gonna try to seek out the original CX-10 Joysticks next! P.S. When it arrives, I'll post pics.
  5. I was wondering what happened to them, because they had MagiCard and Video Life available for us who couldn't afford the originals or couldn't find the originals. Did they fold or lose their domain name, or what?
  6. I was wondering what happened to the store. Yeah, let us know when it's back up.
  7. Great purchase there. Any 2600 game still in the box, shrink wrapped is always good.
  8. I'll throw my hat in and say Parker Bros. as well. Activision is a close second!
  9. A few weeks ago, I took my Flashback 2 out of the box (I keep it in the box to make it last longer) and played a round of Adventure 2. Well after a few tries, I finally found the Chalice and beat the game. Of course I had to deal with Yorgie and Rhindle (Grundle was MIA), but I made it through. Anyone else beat it?
  10. Nice mod you got there. That's a good idea seeings how Jaguar controllers also have the keypad.
  11. Either the CX-40 or CX-42 (FB2 sticks) for my choices. I also like the Gemsticks (the one with the big yellow button). As far as crappy sticks goes: The Boss stick; great at first, but wears out after a while. I still would like to try out the CX-10 Heavy Sixer sticks.
  12. I actually found a working Xbox at work in the trash today. Someone tried to trade it in at a game store in my mall, but the screws were exposed and they couldn't take it, so they threw it out. I found it later and took it to the same store and had them test it out and it works real well. All I need is a power supply, TV hookup, and controllers and I'm ready to play!
  13. Laser Blast and Dragster are the worst.
  14. Great score, my friend. I need a Big Sexy, myself. Plus, you also scored the original 1977 paddles, which is another bonus.
  15. For me, the problem isn't the joystick, although I admit that is a bit tedious. MY beef with the controllers is the buttons, namely the start and fire buttons. They wear out too easy.
  16. I also agree that PreCrash had the most memorable games, but the PostCrash 2600 games are far superior.
  17. Check this out! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:AtariLandfill.jpg
  18. Well I finally re-fired up the ol' 4-switch woodgrain the other day and played the games finally. Sadly Keystone doesn't want to work. Gangster Alley I found out I already had (albeit in hacked form under Froggo's Task Force), but Spacemaster was a total blast. I'm gonna try to clean Keystone so I can get it working.
