  1. I'd like to buy the "wrap around" version of the game. I know they have them, I used to own one. Its going to be hard to tell which is which when they have almost the same lable.
  2. So theres two versions of this game? I must have the crappy one. Here is what it looks like.
  3. You too? The first time I ever played this game was on a Vader model Atari and it worked just fine. Now, 15 years later on the same style Atari it won't work. Anyone else having this problem?
  4. No, I wasn't in possession of the ball. Thats whats getting me mad. I can't defend my goal as well without the wraparound feature. I've tired the same cart on three Atari 2600s on every mode and difficulty and I can't get the players to walk offscreen. On Stella, the game seems to work as advertised.
  5. No, its Atari's Real Sports. It even states in the manual: "You can use the wraparound feature in RealSports SOCCER to run your player off one side of the screen to have him reappear on the other side of the screen. When using this feature, the controlled player must not be in possession of the ball. A controlled player can run off either side of the screen, but cannot run off the end of the field."
  6. I know the players can walk off one side of the screen and reappear on the other side because I had this game before when I was younger. I got another copy of the game months ago and the players can't "warp around". I've tried this copy on three different 2600's (on A and B settings) and get the same thing. The game is in excellent condition. Could it be defective?
  7. I'm feeling some serious Atari envy right now.
  8. Thats very true, a little dab will do you just fine. It doesn't seem to work 100% but its better than nothing. I've been using those Magic Erasers for over a year now on my games.
  9. Psychotically obsessed with 2600 collecting? No such thing. Its a... a harmless hobby, thats all.
  10. All I know is that I hate having those kind of dreams. Sometimes I have dreams where I find fists full of money just lying around and when I try to buy some rare games the money is fake or I wake up as I give the money to the proprietor. Puts me in such a bad mood.
  11. E.T. the worst game for the Atari 2600? I'm tired of hearing that. It isn't. Karate by Froggo is infinitly worse.
  12. Solaris Pitfall II Midnight Magic Jungle Hunt Pac-Man Jr. Super Football RealSports Tennis E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Defender II Pressure Cooker ... just to name a few.
  13. Video Pinball is my fav. Never heard of Bumper Bash.
  14. I don't let little things like that bother me as long as the sticker is in OK condition and the game works. I'm just trying to get my childhood back not collect for profit (still I have close to 200 games). I'd love it if my kids got into the sytem as well.
  15. I saw this a few years back. Always fun to watch.
  16. For the arcade, Ms. Pacman. For the 2600 Jr. I voted for Ms, I like all the sound effects for the game. They really bring it to life.
  17. Yeah, I feel safer with 90 percent. It dries up quickly and leaves no residue.
  18. Won't WD-40 get the game kind of oily and damage the inside of an Atari? I'm not willing to risk a 30 year old system.
  19. Pitfall II for the 2600. It still drops my jaw to see what the 2600 could pull off with a little TLC.
  20. First seen the thing in action when I was 4 but didn't sit to play it till I was 5 or 6. Better late than never!
