We may have to save these ones for the second half of 2008 but I will look into them, however, I did receive my games and it looks like we'll be adding Pele's Soccer. During testing we broke a controller, so it looks like I'll have to buy a few more of those too. Yeah, I'd have extra 2600s and plenty of extra controllers around for sure.

Thanks! Made it slower and now has 8 levels. I could really use some help with level design if anyone would like to have a hand at it. Version 0.2. Thinking about making this a side scroller adventure in a different thread, but for now the fight is still on. Two colored bears enter! Only one colored bear leaves! Great job! It is very challenging. I really like the scrolling with different colors, the landtran, and the trees, etc. A lot of work was obviously put into it, and it shows. Here are some thoughts about possible changes (but I don't know whether this would be good or not): * It might help to make the turning just a little less responsive (or basically just slow game down a little bit - it is pretty hard!) * May want to make landtran move on its own without pressing fire button (maybe fire button would make you turn faster?) * If not then maybe add a time limit? * Change background color for night driving. * Drive with paddle? -

Also note - after I originally posted the topic about the competition, I was briefly thinking about making it a higher resolution playfield, but unfortunately the 2 player score minikernel doesn't work with 8k superchip that I can tell. But that's ok. -

2 player, joysticks required The happy bears from the land of clouds every once in a while tire of caring and sharing and want to fight! Select the scene you want with select and move the joystick up to choose the color of your bear. Then hit reset and the match is started! Only shining beams of love from your frontside will cause the other bear to come back to his senses and leave the arena. If you sneak up behind a bear you can do some flying wrestling moves! Also certain bear moves can make you move quickly (a.k.a. "teleport"). Have fun! Legacy Engineering Group is Curt's stuff. So does that mean that Curt got the go ahead to take this over from Atari? The stuff written in the interview with Curt is from June of last year when they were still talking a lot about the FB2 portable. Then when I contacted Curt in December it sounded like he was hard at work still on it. And now recently Marty said that he doesn't think Atari will survive in current form, but that Curt is continuing on. I just felt bad seeing conversation go on in these threads about the Atari Flashback if people should be waiting for a "Curt" product instead. -
Check out this post. Fred did this in bB with a modified bB kernel he wrote! (see that post for detail, and be sure to back up your existing std_kernel.asm from bB\includes before swaping it out to compile that bB code. Now I just need a yar! Maybe I could have dueling yars! Or maybe yar vs. ray? 2 vs 2 yars using paddles?

See the other thread I don't know why you say its not happening and then point to my post in another thread. As I clearly stated there regarding the FB3 and which is equally applicable here: Marty, by no means did I mean that Curt's project was dead, and I apologize if you, Curt, or anyone else got that impression. In fact as you can see in my other posts I'm very excited about his project. However, you yourself indicated that you believe that the death knell has been rung for Atari and there would be no Atari Flashbacks coming out under that brand and product line, even though Curt's project is still on. I don't think the Atari Flashback forum is an appropriate place for any more discussion if this project will neither be Atari nor Flashback (since both names are reserved). Instead I would vote that either a new forum be created for Curt's project, or maybe just a pinned thread under Dedicated Systems and we can unpin all of these threads and link to it. Why go through all of that trouble when there is so much discussion here? Well, I think that Curt should be the one people are focusing on, not Atari, and people shouldn't believe there is another Flashback coming out if there is a 99.999% chance it won't. Again, I think the world of you guys, I really want to play 2600 games on and write 2600 games for Curt's product. -

This is awesome! For spikes, maybe you could just do a sprite that is basically just a green line (only 8 pixels or less long) and not worry about a really long line.
