Sorry Curt! I definitely didn't mean to add fuel to the fire. Hope you're feeling better! Take care!

I don't know what that is suppose to mean but it doesn't sound flattering and casts a negative light on Legacy Engineering. Is that really the impression you want to give? It doesn't see helpful. I was being sarcastic. Curt will not dip your stick in gold (gild it) or give you a back rub (a massage of your back), and neither will Marty. At least I didn't see those two options on the google checkout. I was only trying to say that flaming them on this thread is not a good way to make friends or handle customer service concerns. As everyone has stated many, many times over, they're great guys, and they certainly don't deserve to be flamed.

It seemed that you needed it. Yet you kept asking questions that were answered there after you already got what you wanted. So you are basically asking questions to attempt to flame LE? Rhetorical questions are for the purpose of teaching (even if you are being sarcastic while stating them). However your questions did not teach anything, even sarcastically. LE is a small business consisting of a few people that frequent AA. Point us to one post where someone stated that it is not a business. You got what you wanted but decided to continue to flame their company along with everyone that appreciates LE? But why continue asking questions that you knew the answers to? The reason I was suggesting you be banned was that you seem intent on making people angry in this topic. If you are validly just an upset customer of LE, I apologize. But your attempts at being demeaningly sarcastic, calling people fanboys and asking questions that you know the answer to just to flame them is not cool. I really think you have probably been banned from AA before, as the behavior you are exhibiting seems to match it. I apologize if I'm wrong. I'm often wrong.

I know you didn't address that to me, but as I've posted before: http://legacyengineer.com/store.html Current update on that page is: BTW- I hear that pissing off Curt and Marty is a great way to get your stick gilded along with a back rub.

They designed the Atari Flashback 2. Their website is here: http://legacyengineer.com/ Amazon takes orders for things that they can't necessarily deliver right away. I ordered something from a company that was on backorder before Christmas and just received it a few weeks ago. Some orders take time. Some people understand and feel for small companies when they know the people working there are good people, working hard, and will deliver. Some people would rather start a fuss because they get off making people pissed. The latter should be banned from AA imo.

You have one of Curt's joysticks in your possession and the cable detaches? OMFG, he already posted pics of his with the cable detached you two nut jobs: Not exactly. What Detacher did was post a picture that shows a joystick with a cable beside it. What it does NOT show is the back of the joystick with a female USB jack so I asked for a clarification -- from him, not you. With all due respect, if I wanted your input I would have asked you for it. Anyway, the reason for my inquiry is because the joystick I got from Legacy Engineering does NOT have a detachable cable and now that Curt has posted, we know why. Unfortunately, I didn't get what I ordered (and judging by Curt's comment, I'm shit out of luck) nor did I get everything I paid for so I'm a little disappointed. Before you return it, you should seriously consider whether you want to give up a collector's item for its retail value. These are limited release and I'd be surprised if they don't increase in value if they haven't already.

Question - FB2 Portable?
Fort Apocalypse replied to Curt Vendel's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
I'm pretty sure that the AV out is there as well as the AC adapter. I don't know the schematics, but based on the FB2 and classic USB controller, I'd bet the end product would be hackable. However, you won't need a cartridge port if there is a bin dump of it. And if you need it dumped, perhaps you could hire someone on AA to do that. -
Thanks for posting that. I happened to see that earlier in the night and emailed that address (Curt). I'm in no hurry though. (But at the same time, I can't wait!!!)

Question - FB2 Portable?
Fort Apocalypse replied to Curt Vendel's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
Fixed that for you. I wonder how much space every rom and ever revision of every hack and homebrew ever invented for the 2600 would take up. Actually it might. However, I wonder whether the FB portable will be able to have that many games available at once in the portable? -
Maybe you don't know, but Marty is part of LE with Curt that produced the sticks. The sticks are coming. And I think Curt and Marty are awesome for all of their work. Take a good look through all of the posts by Curt and Marty. This is the real deal, and the sticks are coming. Woz should count himself lucky that when he was assembling Apple I's that there wasn't a forum that people were complaining on because they weren't being built fast enough, and that he didn't have heart surgery after people had put in their orders.

Clearly you haven't bothered to read the previous posts that state some transactions were screwed up by the ordering systems. As stated, Sept. and Oct. orders he received HAVE BEEN SENT. Any that were missed because of the issues are being taken care of now. dragos, just so you know, the sticks are coming. Be patient. They will be worth it. And I think it is safe to say that we all think Curt is the man for doing all of that work, and Marty is justified in saying you need to keep cool. Sometimes for good things, you just have to wait.

OnLive Aims to Make Game Consoles Obsolete
Fort Apocalypse replied to Random Terrain's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I don't think it is quite that bad. Even though it was very obvious Perlman was setting himself up to be body slammed with some of the stuff he said, I'm impressed that a company without customers has gotten big name game companies and big name games, even if they aren't incredibly new. I'm a fan of the idea, and I hope that they do well enough so that Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft consider similar bandwidth intensive game streaming initiatives. Why? Because maybe it will drive the cables companies and phone companies to run fiber lines everywhere. ! Besides everyone will be streaming all of their movies soon and DVDs and blue-rays will be the VHS tapes of the 2010's ("twenty-teens"). -
Question - FB2 Portable?
Fort Apocalypse replied to Curt Vendel's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
Ok, I've got it, and I think this would be the best, simplest, and most fitting menuing system for the 2600. NO menuing system. The system could get a redesign and have a single button to the left of select that would select the game. This would reset the FB2 and load the next game. While this seems like it would be a pain to scroll through all of the games, it would be extremely simple for kids and adults to use, and would get them focused on using the buttons on the unit to do things. LE can have that idea for free also. I'm not against getting mailed a free FB2 portable though or for them to include Fort Apocalypse in the FB3!
