Writing an Extended BASIC game too big for memory
SkyPilot replied to Cheung's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Yes, cartridge programs seem the preferred method for fast loading. Totally self contained is a worthy goal, but not law, there are cartridge programs that require 32K. Couldn't a limited amount of variables be passed off to the 32K for holding, then reloaded with the next assembly language block? It would be so fast, hardly anyone would notice. -

Well intended advice is helpful, but only to those willing to accept it. In rare cases a personality disorder can make all attempts futile. -

I lurk more than post. I've seen that he's peed on lots of threads. He's been doing it for years. He's been asked to stop. It's started a few flame wars. He's been been made fun of over it. He does not care that a topic is for a topic for a reason. Is it rude? Yes. Is he obnoxious? Yes. Does he care? I don't think so. Will I ever use RXB? Hell no, and for these very reasons. Good luck @tmop69 -

Tried some different TI sites today, noticed yours is still offline. I'm sorry to hear about your problems. I tried a place called atari.io as well, it's also down. I found a site called ti99iuc.it, impressive.
