  1. I have a widescreen DLP television by Toshiba, and the NES Zapper doesn't seem to pick it up. Does the Zapper only work with the regular CRT televisions?
  2. I'm new to the NES thing (just got a Yobo), so I'd like to know what some good NES light gun games are. I already have Duck Hunt and Hogan's Alley, but those 2 are pretty much games that every person with a NES and light gun has. Anybody got some ideas?
  3. He doesn't know it's a disk drive. lol.

    NES games

    thx geekcomputing
  5. I wish they followed through with Katamari Damacy DS. Sigh.
  6. I usually give it about a week. The last game that this happened to me with was Zelda: Wind Waker. It's also happened on the N64 with Jet Force Gemini, and to a lesser extent Perfect Dark. I'm probably gonna sell JFG but keep Perfect Dark and give it a little more time to grow on me. I also got rid of Luigi's Mansion for GCN. It just got boring and repetitive to me.
  7. I'm a 16 year old male and i'm a freakin' junior in high school. You know how much I hear the word "gay" each and every day? Nevertheless I'm getting this game.
  8. N64. Once I got Conker, Mario 64, MK64, Rogue Squadron, Perfect Dark 64, etc., then I had to stop.
  9. Definitely the NES. Can't go wrong with teh old Mario games.
  10. My stuff as of 2/19/06: Atari 2600 games My Game Station, with a GameCube, Atari 2600 Vader, TI99/4A, N64, Yobo, and Jakks Activision and Atari ^o^ boom!

    NES games

Willing to pay up to $10 including shipping for each individual game, but I know some of the games listed aren't worth quite that much. Don't try to dupe me. Paperboy Super Mario Bros. 2 (x) Super Mario Bros. 3 Bomberman Mega Man 1-6 (x) Legend of Zelda (x) Tetris (not Tengen ) Final Fantasy 2,3,4 edit: NM, these were only available in japan. PM me w/anything (x) got it!
  15. Who else LOVES this game?? It's a very worthy sequel to the cult PC hit, The Neverhood. The music is awesome and hilarious, and the whole premise of being klaymation is an awesome idea for a video game. It's too bad Dreamworks and The Neverhood(company) didn't release it for PC as well.
  16. I don't mind the DS acronyms, because they are much more creative than what Nintendo has come up with for names before. Look at the facts: Almost every one of the starting games for Super Nintendo had the word "Super" in them. Ditto with "64" for N64. To me those are the ones that got tedious. Edit: Oh wait, this has already been mentioned! lol.
  17. When I was little I'd play Don't Spill the Beans. My favorite handheld guys were "Mini Wizard" and "Talking Mini Wizard."
  18. I don't think that article is fair on a technical level. They seem to think just because the NES guts look more complicated it's better. They don't seem to realize that the same thing can be done now, 21 years later, without all of that stuff inside. They call it cheap because it looks less complex.
  19. Well, Nintendo doesn't hold the patent on the NES anymore, so it's legal to make an NES clone, but Atari's still making money off the Flashback, which is kinda their own VCS clone.
  20. There have been numerous topics about this problem in the forums...but here's what I did. 1.Take the 2 screws off the back, and remove the back. 2.Pull the dial off the front, then use a pliers or wrench to remove the nut uunderneath it. 3.Pull the whole assembly out of the casing, BUT REMEMBER HOW IT GOES BACK INTO IT. 4.Set the button and button washer aside. 5.On the side of the pot with the white dial stick on it, there are 4 tabs that need to be bent up. I used a cheese knife, which was sharp enough to get underneath them. 6.Take the metal piece on the top off after the tabs are bent up. 7.Take the brown piece of plastic with the wires on it off. 8.Take the white dial stick out of the metal bottom of the pot. 9.You'll notice some yellowish goo. This was used to lubricate the paddles when they were made, but have since gotten into the contacts, causing the jitter. Use isopryl alcohol and a paper towel to wipe as much goo off as you can from the bottom of the dial stick, contacts on the bottom of the brown piece of plastic, and metal bottom. Reassemble the paddle by: 1. Place the dial stick back into the metal bottom, and replace the brown plastic with the wires coming out of it. Replace the metal piece and bend the tabs back down. 2. Place the assembly back into the front of the case, and screw the nut back onto the front. 3. Replace the button and washer underneath it. Place the cord back into the cord hole. 4. Replace the back of the case and replace the screws. 5. Put the dial back on. 6. Go kick some butt on Warlords.
  21. I'm liking the smoking ban in Hennepin County, MN. But I have asthma so that's probably why.
  22. A family we know also had all of their electronics robbed recently. Since they had insurance, they could replace pretty much everything. They did have to make an inventory of everything they had, though.
