  1. Got mine up and running. This thing is great. Time to start playing around with the games. Did anyone finish plans for a printable case? Thanks Karri!
  2. ooh if you got yours mine should be here soon. I made a few uf2 files but have no way to test them to see if I did it right.
  3. I'm really hoping for kid controller / keyboard support in the near future. I have a stack of Sesame Street games and two little beta testers who really want to play these games! Right now they just turn the games on and listen to the music. 😂
  4. Cleaning, I agree is pretty easy, but I had a few failures with isopropyl alcohol and found Deoxit pretty much works every time. Even on carts that appear squeaky clean after a good isopropyl scrub and still won't load, Deoxit is/was the answer.
  5. Level 3 here too. I'll keep working on it.
  6. Were you actually able to play big bird's egg catch or did you just observe it loaded?
  7. I picked up an unopened copy of dig dug for the 7800 for $35 and maybe $5 shipping. Of course my 5 year old couldn't help himself and ripped it open as soon as it arrived. 😆
  8. #00027551 here. Pre-ordered the day pre-ordering opened from Atari
  9. I have a copy of chopper command that was cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and didn't appear to have anything on the contacts but it wouldn't load. I used Deoxit on it and really scrubbed the contacts. The Q-tip was left slightly grey I'm assuming this is oxidation. After cleaning it like this I was able to get the cart to load. This was my worst one but I had other carts in a similar situation.
  10. That's what I was thinking based on what I've read. Hopefully the next firmware update addresses this and other controller issues!
  11. I have a Kids controller but don't have an original 2600 to trouble shoot it. Does anyone know if this controller is compatible with the 2600+. The Sesame Street games are listed as compatible and the ones I have load fine, but I can't get my controller to work. Seems silly that the game would be listed as compatible but then not work because the controller isn't supported. I have young kids and I think they would really enjoy these simple games.
  12. Good catch. I was focusing on the 2600+ site, should have checked out the actual game product details. Thanks.
  13. These new games are not on the compatibility list for the 2600+. Does anyone know if the new games from Atari will work on the new 2600+? It seems to be implied but not outright stated.

  15. Any chance this version will hit the VCS? I don't own a 2600 but would like to play this version of the game.
  16. this fixes the problem, thanks. unfortunately, i've had to do it at least twice now.
  17. Has anyone encountered this issue? When I connect a Modern VCS controller via Bluetooth it works fine in the Dashboard and with games like Dodo Dounut or Sir Lovelot, but when I open a (new) Atari title like Gravitar: Recharged or Asteroids: Recharged none of the buttons work except for the Atari logo button to go back to dashboard. When I hook the controller up via USB it works but trigger response seems sluggish. VCS shows that I have the most updated firmware version 1.47. I haven't tried the classic controller to see if I still get this issue. I've also contacted Atari and am awaiting a response.
  18. I already own one but the price at microcenter makes me want to pick up a second. just don't know what i'd do with it, also a 2 hour round trip so i likely won't be picking up a second one.
  19. Bought Pedra! Gotta support the exclusives. Order #10655 on Nov 18.
  20. This would be a shame if it's true. I've bought a dozen or so games. No point to have a system without content.
  21. I bought a VCS because I want it to succeed. I know it's a long shot. If it doesn't I still have a little living room gaming PC. I enjoy mine. It will be fun when it can retro game natively in Atari OS (hopefully). If that's all the further it gets in development I'll be okay with that as well. I do hope it gets further because some of the games coming out for it look cool. As for the price, it is pretty inexpensive compared to my other gear. Techies don't buy cheap tech and if they do, they tend buy a lot of it. My guess is people spend way more money overall on their other consoles, PCs, networking gear, and other tech toys.
