  1. I did try my rom in a emulator and it sounds perfect. So, I hope there is nothing wrong with my cart? All the other games I have tested so far seem fine, but I have only played a couple of dozen games so far.

Strange - the ROM works fine on my Harmony cart, with no obvious sound issues. Do you have another TV that you can try it with?

Thanks for the help and I solved the problem. I have a modified Atari with S-Video and that is the one I was using when it gave me the sound issue with Missile Command. I put my Harmony Cart into another one of my unmodified Atari's and the game played the sound perfectly. So, I guess I will have to look into why my modified Atari is doing this and if I can fix it?

  2. I love the Harmony Cart and it works awesome, but I noticed in the Missile Command game that the sound for the explosion plays for a lot longer than it does in the real cartridge. When you get playing and send up a lot of missiles, then the explosion sound is all you ever hear. I updated my cart to the latest firmware (1.04), but the sound issue is still there. Does anyone else notice this? Is this something that can be fixed in a future firmware update?

    Thanks!

I don't think this is an issue with the Harmony cart - it sounds more like a bad ROM image. Can you upload (or link) the ROM that you are using here?

Sure can. I have attached the rom that I was using. I hope that maybe that is the issue. Thanks.

  4. NE146, I have a couple of questions I would like to ask you.

    1. Do you have to mod your Xbox to be able to run the emulator and if so, then what mod chip do you use and / or suggest?

    2. Do you suggest any FTP program, or do you have one that is best suited to use with transfering programs to the Xbox?

    3. Where can I download the emulator? I see that it looks like it is on a IRC channel, but I hardly ever mess with IRC and would like to be able to download from a web site, if possible.

    4. One more question, concerning if you have to mod the Xbox. What site has the best information concerning doing this mod to the Xbox, any insite or information you have concerning this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    David

  5. Yes, Space Taxi on the Atari 2600 would be a dream come true. That game was my all time favorite game on the C64 and I spent way too much of my life playing it, both then and still now. :)

For all that would be interested, this company has hooked up with John Kutcher to make a official sequel to the game on PC.

Also, this site has a C64 emulator that runs on Pocket PC's and I was just playing a game of Space Taxi just a couple of minutes ago, with it.

And if you want to play Atari 2600 on a Pocket PC, then go to this site.

Long Live Atari and Space Taxi,

  6. I have been watching this thread with great anticipation and Adventure is one of my all time favorite games for the 2600, plus Quake for the PC is awesome also. I would also love to playtest the map.
