Paranoid, I would suggest doing an adaption of the game Judge Dredd. Quite good game in my opinion. Since you can never trust the quality of Atarimania files i will share my original .SCP backup. judge_dredd.zip -

Yes of course i know TOS has a built in CRC check, i`m not born yesterday you know. I have over 30 years of Atari experience and i know how to change and put Eproms in a socket. Its not my problem that greedy idiots are using second hand Eproms with scratches from China instead of buying new good ones. For the record i could not even erase or read those "bad" TOS Eproms so they were not good, the mystical part was that they worked for like 99%. I even checked the pins and socket and tried again but still problems, when using my own selfburned Eprom "on new good chips" everything works fine. So i`m an idiot cause a wannabe crappy hardware developer cannot afford good chips? -

Normally i would get mad cause honestly i`m getting tired of listening to people saying something is wrong with my Atari machines, not many people on this planet takes so much care about their computers as i do. But this time you were actually right I`ve had some small random issues lately on my Mega STE with TOS 2.06 and i could not understand the problem until a couple of days ago when trying to start up my original Dungeon Master disc and the game did not start and i was quite sure i used to play it on TOS 2.06 in the past. I bought my TOS 2.06 Eproms from Centuriontech cause the price was fair but that idiot could not even burn a couple of TOS chips on reliable Eproms, i burned a couple myself with my own Eprom burner and suddenly everything worked fine, both with Dungeon Master and your Ninja Remix adaption. Quite funny the problem was bad Eproms from a known so called hardware developer using second hand Eproms from China when you can get new good ones for like 1 euro each, maybe even cheaper. -

Paranoid, Could you make a better adaption of the game Last Ninja Remix? Half of the time the game hangs at startup just getting a blank black screen. Tested on STE with TOS 2.06 and 4MB RAM. I think it`s one of the best games ever made and even today the best written game music ever, it really deserves a perfect adaption IMO. -

Yeah i suspected it would be the same but worth a shot anyway I love .scp by the way, i have all my original games backed up as SCP images. It was well worth the 30 euro i spent for my Greazeweazle v4 to keep safe backups of fragile original disks. You need a good floppy drive though, ive tested almost all brands there is and in my opinion Samsung is superior to all other drives, even better than Sony MPF920 and Panasonic. -

About Karate Kid 2, i haven`t tested PPs HD adaption but i have the original "later" release from Software Direct/EDOS. I will share it here as an .stx image. Dont have time to test so please let me know if there is any improvement, bug fixes etc over the original Microdeal release. karate_kid_part_2-software_direct.zip -
Proud Owner of Falcon again
complicated replied to AtariSociety's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Congrats getting a Falcon 030 again. I bought a Falcon in the late 90s for around 200 euro but when i stopped using Atari i traded it away for almost nothing, one of my biggest mistakes. Not sure i want to pay 1-2k euros getting a new one, we will se in the future. Still got my old STE though which have been in my fathers basement for 25 years and recently bought an Mega STE which was a total wreck, i managed to reapair to full working condition though but i did cost some money. Anyway have fun with your Falcon, its a nice machine -

Well i don`t think many people playing chess games at Atari ST and if someone is testing for fun they cannot see the difference between a powerful playing computer and a weaker one. I`m not a professional chess player, my father thought me when i was very young and then i started playing Chessmaster 2000 on the Atari, got beaten most of the times and still do Over some time i got a little better and was lucky enough to beat the computer a couple of times, i was alot better when i was younger but im still good enough to see if the computer plays at full power or not. Let me know if you find anything with the protection and i will help out with the testing. -

Ok i did some testing and the deprotection does not work. I`ve tried starting the game just pushing "enter" and the computer plays like a 5 year old making stupid moves, also tried typing some words and letters and the result is the same, computer plays crazy moves. Also the mouse was very buggy, this was fixed by replacing your T14AG.FIC file with the latest version from october, same one that fixed the problems with Psion Chess. -

You have to be fairly good in chess to see the playing strenght of the computer. Normally a game like this with a strong engine will play perfectly and beat you most of the time, but with half strenght it will starting making stupid moves like giving away important pieces like the Queen and so on. I will do some proper testing soon and report back. Been busy lately repairing and Mega STE which i overpaid for and it was a wreck, just got everything working so now i can finally have some fun. -

Thank you so much for this. Is it fully deprotected? When i was playing your french version i just pushed "Enter" when the screen appeared where you should type something from the manual and then it only played att half strenght. -

Still looking forward for Chess Champion english version I really hope there wasn`t anything wrong with the .stx i sent you, i was straight from my original. I do understand that Chess games is not a high priority since i`m probably the only one playing them, hehe. -

Paranoid, Almost forgot. That screen scrolling bug still exist in Risk even with your updated T14AG file. I tried to film it with my iPhone. Screen just starts scrolling from side to side after creating and game, then you cannot do anyting but push reset or "*" to exist. IMG_0846.MOV -
