Anyways, keep up the good work Curt. I'll see if I can order an HSC from you in the next 2-3 weeks if noone else ordered them.
-
keilbaca, you get a +1 just for that. XD I can say I'm intrigued as to how much Rocket is going to beat out Deadpool arsenal-wise, but it seems as an odd choice to me for some reason.

Welcome to the pack once again, man. As you can see much love and support for a great friend and fellow Atari enthusiast here. As stated in another thread, if you need someone to talk or vent steam to let me know. I'll be here.
-
No problems. Goes to show that a lot of us are willing to pay for what chaps like you put out for our beloved systems. Keep it up.

Robert, if you don't mind my calling you that, I am very happy to have owned Pac-Man Collection for several years (I think since.. 2008 now?) and find it to be one of the biggest joys of arcade gaming on my 7800. In fact, In the next week or so I plan on purchasing more of your works that has been made available so I can continue to enjoy quality games that should have been released for the system back in the 80s.
As I've said to friends in the past: do whatever you feel most comfortable with, I'll support it every step. Always take care of yourself first and foremost. Plus, if you ever need to bitch at someone/bitch someone out just to vent off some steam let me know. I'll be ready to lend an ear to listen.

Some of the choices seemed interesting, but the voice they gave Strider and two specific characters (Phoenix Wright, and effectively-unknown Marvel character Rocket Raccoon? Really?) just made me wonder "what the hell, people?". This is also the FIRST time that I've ever seen a revision of a Marvel Vs. game. I really wonder if Capcom's even thinking anymore.
Yeah, even with what you see for my avatar icon, I still shook my head at some of the character choices. I'm going to be playing some Shinobi on my Master System if anyone needs me..

I just tested it on what looks either to be an old 5-pin din C64 or A800 composite cable, and got interesting results! Apparently something about the RetroBit composite cable is too weak to generate a signal on the monitor. The cable works fine on a television's A/V input, but not the NEC. Still, I think it'd be better to make an RGB cable. Given I've the adapter for the 32x to a model 1 Genesis, I think I'll see about ordering one of those model 2 RGB-SCART cables and going from there with switching over to a proper connector.

Yeah, dudes like you are making the XM worth the wait. If I only knew how to make music and understood how RMT worked..
-
Ah. Hopefully the ass gets banned, then.

Ya got my interest!

That.. was fast, Albert..
-
Yes, please just go the hell away. I've already reported you, so if that isn't enough incentive.. then I'll see about discussing your actions with Albert..

New update, I did confirm what I've read elsewhere about the native composite output and how horrid it is. I have to use an old "Quasar" stereo-VCR to amplify the output.
-
Sorry this happened, Curt. I wish you nothing but the best in the future. Mods, lock this thread now.

Man, I just want to kick my own ass for sucking so much at this series.

Picked up an untested 1050 drive at a new hole-in-the-wall thrift store near Colonial Drive and Semoran Blvd for $6. Works perfectly.

People, grow up and deal with it. A lot of you need to realize that for a LOT of us (Mr. Vendel included), this is a hobby of ours and one we can be passionate about Last thing we need are little piss-ants coming in and driving people out of their hobby.
Furthermore, please keep in mind the guy's also had to go through a lot of serious medical procedures. He's doing all he can in his current condition. Last we need is someone to put more pressure and stress on him to cause "that" kind of heart attack or heart failure. Lay off on the guy, and allow him to ensure he's in good enough health to do so. Hell, "I" am having to hold off on my for-sale thread for medical reasons. Let's just chill the hell out, and let the guy do what he can.

Agreed, that AdSCSI Plus could net possibly twice what you paid for the lot or more.

Dude, that reminds me of the last time I went to Video Game Trader over in Port Orange. They knew some of their Atari games were rare, and refused my fair-value offer for payment. They just wanted to sell them for a buck a pop. Made me feel really bad about the Orange City store when I bought a loose Steeplechase and Track & Field for a total of two dollars. But it was amazing people that KNEW how rare the games were and still only wanted a dollar a piece.

I'm pretty sure this thing can accept 15KHz signals via the VGA cable (as it worked with MAME using an older Dell laptop running XP, Soft15KHz, and MAME). My problem is that I'm not very good at soldering.
-
ccatalyst, if you need any decent RGB monitors for your stuff at home let me know. I can call that one guy in Kissimmee up to get whichever ones needed and drive them down to you.
-
Okay.. I don't know what's more win: your garage sale find or the Craigslist find that I had back in '08..

-
Incredible find, man! I'm sure there's someone here who would definitely wish to speak to you about that cartridge (as he catalogs every Atari prototype that has been discovered).

Kind-of. There's no "ceiling" per-se, so you do clip through the wall. The odd part is that you keep jumping upwards into the HUD area.
