People, grow up and deal with it. A lot of you need to realize that for a LOT of us (Mr. Vendel included), this is a hobby of ours and one we can be passionate about Last thing we need are little piss-ants coming in and driving people out of their hobby. Furthermore, please keep in mind the guy's also had to go through a lot of serious medical procedures. He's doing all he can in his current condition. Last we need is someone to put more pressure and stress on him to cause "that" kind of heart attack or heart failure. Lay off on the guy, and allow him to ensure he's in good enough health to do so. Hell, "I" am having to hold off on my for-sale thread for medical reasons. Let's just chill the hell out, and let the guy do what he can.

Agreed, that AdSCSI Plus could net possibly twice what you paid for the lot or more.

Dude, that reminds me of the last time I went to Video Game Trader over in Port Orange. They knew some of their Atari games were rare, and refused my fair-value offer for payment. They just wanted to sell them for a buck a pop. Made me feel really bad about the Orange City store when I bought a loose Steeplechase and Track & Field for a total of two dollars. But it was amazing people that KNEW how rare the games were and still only wanted a dollar a piece.

I'm pretty sure this thing can accept 15KHz signals via the VGA cable (as it worked with MAME using an older Dell laptop running XP, Soft15KHz, and MAME). My problem is that I'm not very good at soldering.

ccatalyst Gameroom Collection.

ccatalyst, if you need any decent RGB monitors for your stuff at home let me know. I can call that one guy in Kissimmee up to get whichever ones needed and drive them down to you. -
Okay.. I don't know what's more win: your garage sale find or the Craigslist find that I had back in '08..
-
Incredible find, man! I'm sure there's someone here who would definitely wish to speak to you about that cartridge (as he catalogs every Atari prototype that has been discovered).
-
Kind-of. There's no "ceiling" per-se, so you do clip through the wall. The odd part is that you keep jumping upwards into the HUD area.
-
As the title says, I would like to buy one for the monitor mentioned. Tried hooking it up via composite (using the BNC adapter), and the composite signal is so weak it won't even show. If possible, I do need to get it by next Wed. PM me as soon as possible if someone can make such a cable.

bigbee99, Albany here. Probably wasn't until I was 4 or 5 that we finally got a mall.
-
Yeah.. <CENSORED> HAWKS!! Better to take a few points of damage than constantly die from getting the jump wrong.
-
Actually, I think you can also clip through the top portion intentionally. I found it a lot easier to do that than the standard method of getting through that part. Just keep jumping and doing the left/right movements on the controller rapidly. Only works going right, though.

Finally showing some level of decency. Last hit 154,300 after losing my last life on 4-2.

Game hunting on the East Florida coast.

Man, who knew actually going outside of Orlando could've been so great for finding retro games? I went to a few Video Game Trader stores (Orange City and Port Orange), as well as a place near South Daytona called "Blue Dragon Videogames". There was a lot of goodies to find. I've found some rare Atari 2600 games (Track & Field, Congo Bongo, Gorf, Steeplechase) all for a dollar a piece (and in the case of T&F and Steeplechase, I felt like I stole the games for how cheap they were sold). Plus some stores had some rather nice finds (Blue Dragon had numerous boxed TG16 games, and four Wico Command Control sticks for the Colecovision). Though the pricing varied wildly on a lot of items (like a 4-port woodgrain Sears 2600 going for almost $50, and a loose Roller Controller with two Adam controllers going for the same price), some other items were sold for far less than their actual value (Three dollars for the NES version of Pac-Mania? Sold!). Two of the VGT stores I've been to even had Colecovision systems modded for composite out (though the Orange City store made me feel uneasy when the modder on staff said he wanted to reverse-engineer LHE's s-video mod for the 2600). It was pretty wild. Overall, I'd say it was very much worth a trip to the beach and then some for some awesome finds. Definitely need to budget a hundred dollars every trip for games. -
HatefulGravey, were we GA folk always known for this oddball humor?

As it says, for some reason the internal speakers and my external bookshelves (connected via the speaker terminals in the back) produce no audio. Using the RCA pass-thru does (although it's a big too loud). Anyone else that's used the XM29 series that might have an inkling of what's wrong?

Not even 60k last attempt.. I am better at games than that..

ColecoVision on your Android Phone/Tablet

Can't test it, as my Droid X2 does not have 2.3 available (nor does it have anyone working on custom OS images for it). -
Sweet deal for those in Orlando.

Got my XM29 Plus set up (needed help to get it into the car and into my room). The picture (just from using the S-Video connection on my classic xbox) is VERY sharp. The only problem is that neither the internal speakers or the bookshelf units I connected to it provide any audio-output. Will look into getting an RCA->BNC adapter this weekend to test a few PS1 games that can do TATE Mode (the vertical orientation for stuff like Pac-Man). [uPDATE] Apparently if I connect to speakers via the RCA audio output, I get sound. Something internal to the monitor, mayhaps? -
High Quality NES Clone?

Very insightful, SAG. I can't even imagine what the costs to make actual reproductions of the chips (to avoid the glop-top) would even become.. -
As far as the Act 4 boss (Kelbeross) is concerned, only one of them can be damaged at first. Once you find out which one it is, keep attacking until the boss is at half its life. The one you could hit dies, and the other one should become vulnerable.

Yeah, Kat. I'm looking forward to getting the XM 2960 (not looking forward to getting it from the car to my room in my condition). Given it can also do up to 1024x768 resolution, it would also be excellent for MAME and any console that can do up to 480i/480p. -
MrFish, that's making me want the StarCursor stick even more now. I've always been curious as to the yellow button on the base. Was it intended as a secondary button for the SMS or Amstrad?

moycon.. what.. the HELL is that?.. I think I just threw up in my mouth some from the gaudiness..
