  1. It's cool, but at the same time I'd rather get the Rockman Complete Works discs for my Japanese PS1. Better remixing of the music than in MMAC, and each disc had even more unlockable content/modes.
  2. What's worse is that in Ninja Gaiden III, you're kicked back to the first area of the act for ANY boss (at least in non-Japanese regions). Combine that with the world regiosn' added difficulty (take double damage, only five continues after your first Game Over), andto me it makes the dick move of NG1's Act-6 boss gauntlet deaths seem more like a mean prank.
  3. If you had a RAM expansion, Marvel Super Heroes was certainly better than the PS1. However, the audio was still horrid for a lot of sampled sounds, and the gameplay still felt sluggish compared to the arcade. Strangely, the DOS port of X-Men: Children of the Atom is even more faithful to the original arcade game's speed. Just seems smoother than the Saturn played on Turbo.
  4. I honestly don't know how much the robot goes for in general. I know it's a bit of a collector item, due to being originally packaged with the Deluxe Set (and that set I've seen complete get sold for usually $200-$400 at shops). So I don't really know what the price would be, or how much each piece of the Gyromite set costs for it (and yes, I do have a second copy of the game to include with it, but said game does not have the famicom converter inside).
  5. I'm terribly sorry, Shawn. I've been so busy with trying to find a job and prepare for next weekend. Plus with a barrage of requests the controllers wound up sold. Again, I deeply apologize. If I come across another pair somewhere, I'll just send them to you for free.
  6. Just a note to everyone, I am working at a local convention from July 30 to August 3. Any items purchased by July 29 (meaning any purchase money that drops into my PayPal account) will not be mailed off until August 4.
  7. I have one with an s-video mod I did a couple years back. When funds allow, I'll ship it off to 8bitsentimentalities for a re-do (I'm not that good at soldering). Plus, if all goes well for re-employment (or depending on what my doctors say), I should easily be able to make it to the event in November.
  8. Amazingly understanding guy. I forgot to pack in a game I sold, and even when offering to refund him for the game and priority mail it (after I already gave a partial refund due to the condition of the Atari 2600 he bought from me), he said to not worry about it. Definitely a good and understanding buyer.
  9. It's really fun, despite the simplicity and difficulty. The original version had features that the PC port doesn't: such as being able to play it vertically-oriented (like most vertical shooters are).
  10. It was originally an indie shooter made for the Sharp X68000 in Japan. It's a tough, but simple game and was quite popular. I think HCG101 even has an entire page dedicated just to this game.
  11. Smash tournament I'm holding at a local con getting dedicated to the memory of Mr. Iwata.

  12. Thanks for the info, pr0k. Running a video game room at a con myself, it's not always the easiest thing to do when dealing with personal gear provided or stuff loaned by others. Also, apparently there's been possible talk on another forum I frequent about doing a SHMUP meet there this year. Just hoping any kids playing Raiden this time will let others have a turn. That was not a fun incident..
  13. Just remember for any that have paid me: I have to wait until the money clears transfer from Paypal to my bank before sending it.
  14. Wonderful. I know that with the smaller CRTs, it makes for a less-painful setup (I should know, I run a video game room at a convention myself.. and we just had to cease usage of any CRT beyond 19" in size for the retro consoles). Also, how would volunteer equipment loaning be handled in terms of checking gear in and such?
  15. If I'm able to go, and noone has offered yet, I have some Commodore 1084 monitors I'd be willing to loan for the console room (and even some RGB cables).
  16. I really appreciate the massive interest in what few things I have. Just please give me some time folks, I still have yet to get some boxes ready to weigh at the post office, and am just about to get my vehicle out of the shop. Just not ready for being overwhelmed with inquiries not even half a week of putting things back up for sale. Also, been trying to file unemployment and such, so those things have had to take a higher priority.
  17. Once my car's back out of the shop tomorrow (after going in for the umpteenth time), I'll start getting some shipping costs figured up. Just remember, everyone, that the stuff's always going to be a first-come-first-serve basis.
  18. I get games for playing. Even some of the shittier games I grew up with, have quite a few fond memories of them. So it's both play what I have fun with, and is memorable. I also do get some stuff for when I have anyone over. Gotta keep visitors entertained, too!
  19. Alright, got things up for sale again. As of this post, I'll get the pics of anything requested to potential buyers tomorrow. For now, I need some sleep. x.x
  20. Ok folks, got things back up. Now that I'm even closer to a post office (not even a five minute drive), I can get things shipped much faster. In many cases, Priority Flat-Rate is preferred. If anyone has items from before they want, please let me know and I'll see if I still have them.
  21. AD&D is fun, but challenging (especially on the two hardest difficulties). Atlantis is brutally hard but fun. Now for stuff you don't have? Anything by AtariSoft is excellent, Dig Dug and Commando were fun (if slightly pricier-to-get) ports. If you enjoy roguelikes, nothing beats Tower of Doom on the INTV. Thunder Castle's a great game with very nice graphics and surprisingly-good music. Burgertime is a common but amazingly well done port of the arcade game. Activision made some good titles (Pitfall, Happy Trails, Stampede, Beamrider), TRON: Deadly Discs was fun. I'll think of more over time.
  22. Eh, I don't always find good shit these days, but it's still fun to go to thrift shops. Something I suggest is to look for ones that aren't your usual Salvation Army or Goodwill chains. Some places you can find some very uncommon things. I admit I DID manage to find a very nice complete copy of Dark Cloud at a Goodwill once, but at lesser-known places like St. Vincent de Paul, I've found unique stuff like a complete boxed ISA video card by ATI (with its own special 3-button mouse). I'm honestly kind of like Clint Bassinger with these things: I just follow the wind, and pick up whatever catches my fancy that I'll play or use sometime.
  23. Still have my confirmation e-mail, though of course I'll need to update my shipping address as I've moved since last summer.
  24. Happy b-day, Yurkie! Look forward to getting this mod done, and thanks again for the mod to my CV joysticks.
  25. Am en-route. Look forward to seeing you agaij after a whole Greg. Just look fot a dude with a Megaplex 2011 shirt if ya feel like saying "hi:.
