  1. Hello people, to complete my CIB Intellivision collection, I am looking for the following games: Need the complete games: - Spiker Super Pro Volleyball by Intv Corp - Super Pro Wrestling by Intv Corp - Triple Challenge by Intv Corp Need the instructions manual: - Learning Fun I by Mattel - Learning Fun II by Mattel - Super Pro Basketball Need the overlays: - River Raid by Activision Need the box: - Learning Fun I by Mattel - Learning Fun II by Mattel I know that most of that stuff is hard to come by, but maybe someone can help me out. I will pay via PayPal or will trade. You can find my trade list here: http://www.classic-consoles-center.at/s__tradesell.pdf Many thanks!
  2. Thanks guys. Especially the photo from high voltage is another indication that there might be no multilingual box. However, maybe England used the US boxes, so there still might be a multilingual box. But I'd say chances are only 10 - 20 % for a multilingual box.
  3. Another possibility that came into my mind: What if the J9000E cartridge and the multilingual manual are exactly the ones that were pack-ins with European Jaguar consoles? Later they maybe sold Jaguars without pack-in game, then took the Euro carts + manuals and put them in NTSC boxes and sold them in Europe. Simply because they didn't have multilingual boxes and didn't care to make any, they sold them that way, in US boxes ...
  4. Hi people, when I bought my Jaguar back in 1995(?) here in Austria, it came with Cybermorph packed-in. Just to expand my collection of boxed Jaguar games, I recently bought a boxed Cybermorph. The cart has the number J9000E on it, so it is the European PAL version. The manual has three languages (English, French, German), so this is PAL too. But the box is only in English and has the number J9000 on it, meaning it would be an NTSC box. So my question is: Does a multilingual box for Cybermorph exist? Possible that someone just put my PAL Cybermorph cart + manual in an NTSC box. Or was it sold that way in Europe? I know that a boxed Cybermorph is kind of rare because most(?) Jaguars had Cybermorph as pack-in. But maybe someone has a multilingual Cybermorph box or has at least seen one?
  5. Hi Videopac collectors, Videopac 70 "Terrahawks: The Second Assault" has been released on cart in a limited run of 100 copies. This is a former Videopac prototype from the early 1980s and maybe this game was planned as a sequel to Videopac 51 "Terrahawks" back then. As always, the game comes with cartridge, original style label, Videopac plus inlay and manual. This is a must for every Videopac collector! If you haven't already bought the game at Retroevent in Holland or ordered it on the Videopac forum, you can order it now via mail order through my website. You can find all infos here: www.classic-consoles-center.at/videopac By the way: A few copies of my two previous releases Videopac 8+ "Baseball" (with additional background graphics) and Videopac 66+ "Route 66" are still available too. Get them as long as stock lasts, no more will be made! Best regards, Dieter from Classic Consoles Center
  6. As Asteroids is built-in all PAL consoles I am wondering if a PAL version of Asteroids exists in box too? It wouldn't make much sense, so I doubt it got ever released in PAL format, but I just wanted to ask ...
  7. Die letzten paar Bände waren wirklich nicht sonderlich gut. Werde mir den neuen aber auf alle Fälle kaufen - wenn ich mal die Zeit finden würde, in die Trafik (dt. "Kiosk") zu gehen ...
  8. Yes, it's cool. My kids built it with my dad about 10 years ago. I wasn't allowed to build such things as a kid, my grandpa was too concerned about hurting the trees ...
  9. Missed you in Rosenheim on Saturday ...
  10. Many thanks! It is exactly that "summer in the 80s" atmosphere that this room is bringing back! It was not really intended first, but I am very happy that it worked out so well. I lived there in the 80s and spent the summers with my cousin exactly there in the garden, or in my room which is located on the floor above, playing with toy cars or Lego or, of course, playing video games! These days, when we are in the garden with the children, me wearing only my bathing trunks on a hot summer day, coming out of the pool, slipping in the game room for some arcade games like we did on vacation back then, hearing my wife telling me to change my wet bathing trunks like my mom did back then ... ... and I am back in the 80s again, forgetting all the stress that adults have, feeling completely untroubled again, at least for half an hour or so ...
  11. It is indeed. I love to be there (5 minutes by car from our appartment) an chill there, playing on the consoles or the arcade machine, or just standing in front of the shelves and putting out some game boxes, open them, reading the instructions and putting them back in the shelves again :-)
  12. I got a Philips Videopac G7000 at Christmas 1982 and moved on to a G7400 one year later and an Atari 130XE in autumn 1985. After I bought my first PC in the early 1990s I noticed that this is not the real thing and started collecting the old games, at the first only for Videopac, to complete my library from the 80s, later also for other 8 bit systems. Problem was that I always had stored my collection in banana boxes in the cellar of our appartment. To enjoy my collection I had to go down in the cellar, open the boxes and put the games out. Non-satisfying. Three years ago my grandma, who lives only a few minutes away, told me that she had a room which she doesn't use anymore. That was a great opportunity to use it as a video games room. Finally I could put my games in shelves. Very satisfying! So here is a video featuring the biggest part of my video games collection. What is not in this video? Atari Lynx and Jaguar (those are in the basement right under the video games room), all the loose carts, most of the hardware, my Atarisoft collection and some other minor systems. I would love to take detailled photos too, but I have to find the time for a photo session. Maybe next winter

rec.games.video.classic and especially #rgvc back in the late 90s and early 00s ... fond memories ...
  17. I have internet access since 1997, but I have NEVER experienced a customer "service" as bad as the one from ebay. Contacted them several times in the early 2000s and all I got every time was canned answers, no matter if it was by email or over the phone. So I stopped contacting them. Makes no sense. Wasted time.
  18. Got mine today. Looks great! Many thanks for your effort. You might want to change the user name for #22 in the owners list though
  19. More power probably. The C7010 has an ELO rating of 1650. Is there any info on the ELO rating of other Chess video games?
  20. Unfortunately the C7010 Chess module will not work on NTSC consoles (Odyssey2), because of mid-screen VDC updates. And so far O2EM doesn't support it either ...
