  1. You know, I have a CDi I'm willing to part with (for a fair price.) Have several games and a gamepad for it. It also has the DVC installed so you can watch VCDs and play games that required the Digital Video Card for enhanced graphics. My thrift had a Magnavox cdi and probably some game but I did not pick them up because they were trashed. If I am not the first person to get at it, the other people tear them up. I have a pic of a laptop with all the key knocked off.
  2. I have pulled out the remnants of the broken pin in a 400 I had. I then cut a paper clip and bent it into shape. I replaced the pin with the cut paperclip and soldered into place. It looks good and tested fine, but I did not keep it long enough to test if it held up or if the connection had any problems.
  3. Also the high probability of it being unsealed in Customs will keep the price low as if it was not sealed.
  4. Our costomer complain about shipping all the time. We only charge actual shipping rounded up to the nearest dollar. This is probably because the Amazon customers being used to getting free shipping. We on the other hand do not get preferred rates like Amazon does and have pass on our costs to the customer. We just inform the customer to check the prices for themselves for the service, weight, and distance selected. Many people have no idea of the real cost of shipping. There are times I make money on shipping but more often I just break even. There are times where I use shipping costs to control behavior. I pay Amazon 15% of what I sell there. It is the same price on my website for 1 item, but for 2 or more I price shipping higher on Amazon because I want the customer to buy on my website to lower my fees on the transaction. Most people will go to my website to save themselves a few dollars, but some people still buy through Amazon and the pay higher for that privilege.
  5. WOW, with his feedback, I do not know why you bought from him in the first place.
  6. As I had Congo Bongo back in the day and only 600xl and 800xl. I distinctly remember the cart working on both systems. Otherwise it would have been returned.
  7. The Woz edition is a Rom 0 board. Most collectors do not want this board. It is more likely collectors that looking to use the computer would want to avoid the Woz edition because of this. So, a regular cased IIgs will have a greater than 0 chance that there i a Rom 1 or Rom 3 motherboard. So collectors that want a useful computer probably outnumbering the ones that want a unique box will buy a regular IIgs. What I have observed is prices are no different for Woz or a regular case. If I would wanted a rare box, the IIgs in a IIe case as that would probably be the one I would want..
  8. I found out about it through the RSI 7800 joystick thread. I have been waiting for one to show up to mod it as a 7800 joystick. It looks like there is enough room to leave the logic board in and add a Sega joystick cable trough the power port hole. I would not have to do too much damage to the built in game. I may test the games out to see if they are worth saving.
  9. I picked up mine used with box on craigslist for $10 last year. I was patient and wasn't in a hurry to buy. Ymmv for your area and how quickly you want to unload.
  10. I got to hook it up at the thrift and the video was good. The remote has a built in holder on the TV and is shown in the video. Now I can hook up RF only systems to my bank of 13" monitors. This screen displays the borders of the 800xl very close to edge of the screen. I have not tested it much beyond hooking up a composite signal. I saw some 9" Sony CRTs but $20-30 was a bit pricey for something I would not use enough to justify picking them up.
  11. I picked up a Radica Space Invaders stick for $5 at the Goodwill Computer store. More than I wanted to pay but I have never seen one in the wild and really wanted one. I picked up a 13" Samsung 31C435 CRT from a local thrift for $10. It is from 1985 and has a built in remote and analog tuners with a switch for composite.
  12. I think that was just an Atarimax 8megabit cart with an image from his forums. You can still get the flash cart from Atarimax.com an ask him to flash an image on it for you. Some are posted on his forum.
  13. I loved to play that game. I have not tried to figure out why it is not working on my current laptop. Nice pickup.
  14. I asked for a pic because his cover story sounded suspicious. And he is pushy for an offer. I am not as active with the Jaguar because of this kind of attitude.
  15. I had many shipments with priority costs and FCM shipments. I expect a box and insurance when I see prices that deserve it. I get on the sellers ass when I see $6 shipping charge shipped in a bubblelope with less than $2 FCM postage. Now that Ebay has freed buyers from retribution, I hoped that this prevents these kind of bad sellers. It does not look good though, since my JVC monitor came minimally packed with loose bubble wrap for a box weighing 25lbs. I got it for the starting bid, but that is still no excuse for bad packing. I know UPS would have denied a claim.
  16. I believe the I-10 Eastbound freeway from downtown was closed the past 2 weekends. So driving through downtown this past 2 weekends was a nightmare.
  17. I know. I have had 2 craigslist listing and they both wanted $200 for the 13" and just under $200 for a 9". I found this from the link on the SC monitor thread.
  18. I remember playing those. One of my childhood friends had one of those.
  19. I picked up a JVC TM-A13SU 13 inch Color Video Monitor w/ Audio, CRT for $42 shipped: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320589774544 Its my first tube with PAL/NTSC compatibility. It locks on to the refresh rate automatically and PAL/NTSC is set manually. So, this is the perfect monitor for the NTSC 130xe with PAL Antic that I was trying to use. It is a cube shape much like the 1702s below it in th pic. The 1702 were picked up for $10 each. Below are my TV pickups at local thrifts. I had other 13" TV that I picked up like this Toshiba for $20 or this Advent for $9 both have Component inputs. I almost got this Phillips 7" TV for $12 but since I could not figure out how to change to the composite video inputs without the remote, I passed on it.
  20. I picked up a Xbox fighting stick at a local gaming chain for $20. More than I wanted to pay but the switches and build quality was high and I wanted to mod it. It was the layout I wanted too.
  21. I have paid $40 shipped for a boxed stock 64K 600xl from Canada. It all depends on what is included with the system. For a bare computer below $20 shipped would be my starting point. I have picked them up mainly for the keyboard or PAL Antic and monitor port. At $50, I would expect either the 600xl is boxed and basically new. If loose, I would expect a half dozen common games and 2 joysticks included. Any less and you are better off waiting for a 800xl or other 64k computers. I would offer him $20 if this is local.
  22. Do they exhibit the same problem? If so, have you checked that your power supply is only outputting 5V?
  23. I had it in my watch list since yesterday. I didnt know many people would be watching for this.
