  1. OP: I would think that making sure the 600xl has more than 16k would be more of a concern than multiple SIO ports. If this is a stock 600xl, then I recommend picking up the RAM 320XL or its successor.
  2. I believe YAKF needs a PAL Antic also.
  3. I have one also. As often as I see it talked about, it is probably fairly common. Just not as common as Star Raiders.
  4. Thx wood. I had a bead on one of these in Austin but they wanted $200. $41 shipped works for me.

    H2

For the production run, will it still be SD or something smaller like microSD. I just had to ask because it seems you would have the same problem as the CC2 with the port being prone to damaged. If it will be SD, the H2 support MMC cards? I would like to use a RS-MMC instead of full length SD cards to protect the port.
  6. This thread reminds me that I need to replace the ingot I am currently using.
  7. Based on cost alone. If you do not have 4464 ram chips or chips for the 8bit(OS, 6502, Antic, PIA, and GTIA) that you can swap in, I would suggest that you buy a new system. Having to buy all these things will quickly add up to more than another system cost.
  8. That is not much info since multiple PSU were made with the same part number. A picture will tell us if it is the culprit.
  9. What was the voltage of the PSU that went bad? It might have gone out and taken the 600xl with it.
  10. Damn! The man is full of heads-up advice! Again... thank you! I thought I read that somewhere as well. FYI, I just passed up a few IBMs. Mostly T23, T30, R23. They were marked at $25 each. My GW has stopped stripping the battery and CD drives so the $5 systems are no longer there. There were a couple of Compaq Armada ?500 and ?700. Some no name brands too. I may have to try my burner on the ports on the laptops I did buy. I mostly got them for the serial ports to use with my SIO2PC equipped Ataris. As I see it, a parallel port equipped laptop will stand more of a chance working than some USB to parallel port device.
  11. Nice. It looks like the standard keyboard. Looks very clean.
  12. Haha, mine did, too! How many of these things did you have, Ax? I feel shortchanged. I only got the box, no CDs.
  13. As I have a stack of NES, Gamegear, and Genesis stuff that need the same bit. None of the above solution worked for me. I opened 3 gamegears with pliers and the head looks like crap. The tube melt method did not work for me. Leads me back to my question Does anyone know the size and type of bit? I may have to settle with getting a torx head screw and using it temporarily. My Everdrive looks naked in the Nomad.
  14. I need a few. Let me know how many and the size.
  15. Here is my instructions using SEGA cables. It is based on the link jaybird provided. I found it using "schematic joystick"
  16. Keep a PC laptop w/parallel port around for burning your roms. I picked up around 3 for $5 each in the past 2 months.
  17. I have the cart housing. Where can we get the security bit? Does anyone know the size and type of bit?
  18. I would just offer the $11.+ per cart for just less than a half dozen of those carts. Everything else looks common to me.
  19. I got mine a little over a week ago. Box was a little crushed, but not too bad. I just loaded onto my MyIDE cart as an image. It looks like it works. I have not played with it much yet.
  20. That's probably because Apple IIs almost always come with drives in sets. Atari 8bits and C64 may not come with 2 drives. I have seen Atari 130xe with 2 drives go over $100 too.
  21. Let me know if your local interest falls through
  22. I thought that the KMK /JZ was not currently being produced. I would like to know where I could find one also.
  23. I have a Commodore monitor and it does not really take a PAL. Both my PAL 600xl are in B&W. I have to adjust the Vhold for the screen not to roll, but it is usable. What you problably are seeing is an NTSC signal at 50Hz.
  24. I pulled the price off James Pond and it looked ok. Some of the other labels are already rough and I probably wont care @ $1. They had another 6 games but I did not feel like getting golf or football games. Using Pond, I just verified the Nomad I picked up a few weeks ago works. They originally priced video game carts originally at $5. They also marked down SNES to $2. I don't even know why they differentiated them. I also found out they dumped a few of the systems and associated accessories. It looks like they only wanted to hold 2 mail bins full instead of overflowing 3 they had last week. I let them know that if they did't price it so high to begin with it would actually move off the shelf.
