SIO2USB with a FTDI basic breakout board
Almost Rice replied to netbeui's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I remember when these were $6 each. prices sure have gone up. I found another site selling a similar breakout board for $9 w $3 shipping -
As a net exporter to Europe, I hate the change in exchange rate. Our items were more affordable for our European buyers last summer. Now that they are ready to reorder, I had to give some on the price in order to get them closer to last year's prices. Lets just hope for a reorder. I answered the OP's question and have not added any political commentary, as politics are not allowed on this forum.

That means he is only quoting you Priority Mail International. For 4lbs or less. It can be $8 to15 if he used First Class International. He probably does not want to use FCI because it has no real tracking.

Atari Proto Collection: 1450XLD, 1400XL, 1200, 1090 XL Expansion
Almost Rice replied to MrFish's topic in Auction Central
Beetle has been busy. Why couldnt the 1200 or 1450xld be real if you believe the 1400xl to be real? The 1400xl is probably one of those BEST MB built out with some Beetle magic for the case. Even the 1090 is probably more Beetle magic. For those who dont know Beetle's handywork, link provided. http://www.atariage....50#entry1207216 -
For sale: Atari 5200 Box in pretty good intact shape
Almost Rice replied to The Retroist's topic in Auction Central
By looks of recent label it was used as a shipping box via UPS. -
Just to clarify. Amazon listings are not individual so the pics would not be unique for each seller. This is a problem for sellers listing used and odd lots. If you are selling a single item in original box, it would likely work out much better. Odd lots are not easy to list or find on AZ. also, you need a Seller Central merchant account to add a new listings and that cost $40/mo. I also agree looks like OP publishing his own listing here. Looks like the item either sold or seller took it down.

XEGS systems getting rare?
Almost Rice replied to [email protected]'s topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Here is a PAL one in the marketplace http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/197443-boxed-atari-xe-console-with-keyboard-light-gun-and-joystick-uk/ -
This is how eBay and Amazon works. If you dont like it, you could build your own web site. Amazon will back you up if you use signature confirmation though. Not sure about ebay. Seller is responsible all the way to the buyer. BTW, I am 0 for 3 on Italy shipments. 2 for 2 on Spain. 19 for 20 on Great Britain. 1 for 2 on Brazil I will ship to Brazil but only EMS. Have not shipped anything else to Italy in 4 years so have not had to decide yet. I may still send it to these countries with U-pic insurance since I have heard good things about them and I use endicia Former eastern European countries are my favorite. Every shipment made its way over there.

probably too many sessions of Defender Can you bridge the connections and see if the space gets registered. I would need to get home and open up my 800 and see what you are talking about.

Text based platformer for Xerox computer.
Almost Rice replied to Almost Rice's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
That's it. I googled a video of it being played. -
I have found that with modern TVs, you need to get a PAL computer. The sets dont show 50Hz signals with NTSC color encoding or 60Hz with PAL color encoding too well. The ANTIC swap works well if you have older TV and monitors that give you control of the V-hold.

Text based platformer for Xerox computer.
Almost Rice posted a topic in Classic Computing Discussion
This is a shot in the dark, but I was trying to find an old game that was on my family's old Xerox computer. It was from the early 80s and had 2 8" floppy drives in a large enclosure that probably included the CPU. Also had a green screen and keyboard. I included this since identifying the computer would probably help(probably an 820 from my rudimentary search) The old game was a text based platform game similar to Jumpman. I remember you usually had to get from one side of the screen to the other. the player was usually a P or b based on if moving or falling. H would be for ladders. I forgot the characters for floors were. disappearing floors were . I cant remember much more. LMK if you have a name or any idea how to find this game. Thanx -

Can't you just use a 1050 on the PC using SIO2PC and Prosystem?
