  1. How much would this have cost back in the day? link
  2. It may be a minor offense, but its short sighted on the sellers part. Buyers like to have the security that a CC provides. If people could pay via CC, they are more apt to bid beyond their means and he would benefit from that. The difference should be more than any 3% fee. How high did it get to before it was pulled the last time?
  3. Why hide it if its so rare. People would bid it up if they knew what it was. Knowing nothing, they would be lucky to get their starting bid.
  4. You can usually pick up a 7800 with half a dozen common games for $30-40 shipped. Sometimes cheaper if you are patient.
  5. I just got mine. Both controllers seem to have loose connections somewhere near the joystick plug. When they work, they are very responsive. I have not tested the paddles yet.
  6. Turbo Grafx 16 and SMS. I never got them back in the day. Games were better than my 8bit, but by the time I saved up enough. I picked a SNES instead.
  7. I love 600xl's, but $50 is a bit steep for what is included. You could get a 800xl with games and ,if you are lucky, a disk drive for $50 shipped. It just takes some patience to find the right deal. If you still want the 600xl set, I would wait until the ad is about to end and offer $20.
  8. I did some searching. It looks like Bryan was addressing this problem. Also having the 800xl modified with more ram like my system may worsen the problem.
  9. I got the 800xl to show an image on the 1702 by putting the Composite signal instead of the Chroma to the monitor. It outputs an image, but still not that great. Are you sure you are not doing that, Metalguy? I did not know what I was missing using my crappy Zenith monitor all these years. The image on the Zenith was marginally better than the TV output. I just know that the 800 with 1702 shows an image that I can clearly see single pixels on the screen and interference from the drive I/O. I dont know if the Chroma mod would get rid of those vertical lines for me. I also thought all 800xl's had no chroma. I guess I better go through all my xl's to make sure about that. Also I heard of the all the not so positive feedback on the Super Video mods that I was holding off on that.
  10. Thats a great deal. I would jump on it if I didnt already have a similar setup. But if I didnt have one I would not know this was a deal.
  11. Not really. The 800xl has no chroma and the vertical lines are still visible. It is a night and day difference when you compare the image to a 800. This is the main reason I am interested in warerats 800 mod to XL OS. The other being the better keyboard.
  12. 130325 I wish I could find my robotron joystick holder. I used to play with those on my 800xl.
  13. Looks like bidding veterans to me. I be sure to remember that list.
  14. It looks funny that Atariager is the high bidder.
  15. Me too. I did not realize that the 1200xl was the result of bean counters neutering the machine. I was always saddened that the Atari 8bits were closed machine while the Apple 2s were open.
  16. My new favorite avatar...although, I think that I need to see a little more skin Almost Rice! 1018990[/snapback] I snagged it off a web site. I have it bookmarked at home. I thought it would get some people's attention. The marketing for this cart worked. I was on the fence for almost 2 hours until I saw how quickly it was going. I guess price a reason to do it selling so fast too.
  17. Great find. Could you elaborate on the significance of this?
  18. Its the 800xl. I have a 800 and XEGS and they have less problems than the 800xl I have. I think the solution is doing the Super Video 2.0 2.1 mods. Super Video link
  19. So thats what a Quintopus looks like. I thought the MPP/Supra Micronet was just a modem and was not paying to much attention. So using a Parallel port switch would be overkill and not really necessary? Will there be complications with putting 2 or more computers in the SIO chain and switching it via pin 8 and 10? I was thinking of sharing 2 different SIO chains to 3 computers.
  20. Ok, Also could you consider making it with a CF port also or another version with a CF instead? Also, we are talking about a ST, most CF cards could be enough for people to use. Since CF is similar to IDE ports, we could then mount them internally to the STs.
  21. Is that a SIO switchbox next to the monitor switch above the Commodore monitor? If so, is it possible to do with a couple of parallel port switchboxes. I have 2 of those and was considering doing that. BTW is the MIO connected to the 1200xl?
