Looks like you lost a trace. Did you lose the buttons 7 to Backspace? I attached a pic of the keyboard matrix. I missed this post. Probably something on the MB.

Now, back it up!

For those looking for a RS-MMC card, I got mine at Newegg.com Here is a link to their current stock. They are about a couple dollars more than pricewatch.com prices, but they are one of the best on customer satifaction. At this time, the best deal looks like the Crucial 128 for $15+5 shipping. I got my 512 for $26 shipped last month. Since everyone here probably has a MMC card, I recommend waiting and looking at Newegg's Refurb page on Flash memory. They are basicly returns from customers. Shipping is only $1 on that page and prices are about 10%-30% cheaper than new. Thats how I got mine. I bought 2 and the second one was brand new. The best deal I saw the past month was the Crucial 128 RS-MMC for $11 shipped Here is the link Currently, I see no refurb. RS-MMC.

As promised here is the photo. I have enclosed the label side, top and inside of the cart. I have also enclosed the top view of the system. I hope this is clear enough for everyone. I feel much safer taking off the extender. Before the pics of the MMC port being ripped off, I did not care that my RSMMC card extended out of the cart. Also if you lose the extender, just use tape the remainder of the RSMMC card and let the excess hang outside the CC2 so you can pull the card out. You would just use something small like a toothpick to push the card in.

Atarimax www.atarimax.com also has an IDE interface that connects to the cartridge port that could be useful.

Inserting the RSMMC card I remove the extender and just push the rest of the card into the slot. To remove, I just insert the extender onto the RSMMC card and the catch locks into place and I remove the whole card. I taped the extender to the end of the cart so as to not lose it during non use. I will take some pics and scan the slot when I get home tonight.

Did you clean the cart. connectors? That is the most likely culprit. If they are clean, then insert and pull out a cartridge a few times into the cart. port. That is the other end you may have to clean.

Great idea! I finally got my 7800 working again, and fired up my Cuttle Cart 2 for the first time last night, so I'll see how much I can contribute. (I presume that the Cuttle Cart and Cuttle Cart 2 work the same way as far as the menu files go.) Michael Rideout 1005322 I think lucifershalo was referring to the Cuttle Cart 2 also. I dont know if the original CC used the same menu system.

Uh, he did. They are just all sold out, watch ebay for the Intellicart. Mitch 1004905 I noticed that too and I am too late for that one. I also noticed you have to have a PC connected and thats the only part I dont like about it. I like the CC2 because its self contained. I can pull the MMC card out while hot and change a file and get back to it. The Intellicart is more like a SIO2PC cable.

What is a GP2X? I play on my 800xl with a 500xj

I had my 7800 since eBay started in 1995. I only used it once in a blue moon until October. The reason I pulled it out of mothballs is because of the CC2. I have the 7800 games, hacks and the homebrews that were made for the 7800. Its expensive, but makes the 7800 playable almost everyday. And preserves the Cartridge port since you have no reason to pull carts. It also works with almost all 2600 games too. Now, if I like a game, I can buy it when I get a good buy. I love playing Beef Drop, Pacman, Fast Ms Pacman, Galaga, Centipede Trackball, and Frogger. Most of which you would not have access to on the 7800 machine without the CC2. I have not tried any of these games on an emulator so I can not comment on that. If you are really into the 7800, it opens up the system basicly the whole library. I am just lucky to catch Chad on his second run of Cuttle Carts. I thought I missed out since his first run was early in 2004. Now if Chad could make a CC for the Intellivision I would be set.

how to make .atr, .bin, com, .xex bootable disks
Almost Rice replied to calfranklin's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
The .ATR file should be bootable. If you have a SIO2PC interface and the APE software on the PC you would use that image as D1:. As for the others they are probably executable from DOS. -

new members brought here due to the FB2
Almost Rice replied to Zonie's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
Actually getting a CC2 brought back the old school Atari out of me. I have had my Ataris since 1984. -

Is there controls to change the joystick switch? I think 1 position allows for 1 button control of fire and bomb.

93200. That was my first and best try.

That was why I listed the Atari games that made the system without the licensed games. I really like Joust, Defender, and Pacman, but I know its not likely to happen. It might work if they find the original license agreements it might change and thats less likely to happen. Defender was one of the ports that I played the most.

Converting an 800 into a XL - Phase Two: Extra RAM
Almost Rice replied to warerat's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I thought that was the case and have always wondered why it seemed little was made for it compared to the 800xl. -
My Bro and me would play this for a long time. One of the best games to tag team the enemy. That was my first try at the game. Its much easier than the 7800 version. My score was too late anyway.

Thats why I still play the Ataris. They are fun to play for 30 mins to a 2 hours. Newer games want us to spend days if not weeks to finish. I find that game that I can play repeatedly have more value than one long game. I may try Battlesphere. I have played Xwing, but not Tie Fighter. The mission thing is nice, but sometimes I just want to blow things up. I stop playing a game mostly because I get stuck in 1 mission and cant get past it.

Have you tried opening it? If you find it is irrepairable, try to salvage the Pokey since CC2 users are out there in need of a Pokey.
