I have a all of the released games on my site, though I still ned to add the Pacman and other hacks.Mitch
Is there a link to all the 2600 games like your site? Never mind, I found some, but none as convenient with it all in one zip file.

Goodwill has it starting at $5.
Good luck. Would rather get the FB2 at the very least the controllers could be used on our legacy systems and you can hack it.

It seems near complete. They only problem I saw was the maze had copies of the hero on the ladders when the 2nd players turn came up. I think I was playing either normal or hard on a 7800 using a CC2 w/ Pokey. I will try to get a screen shot if that ever occurs again. Also the enemy climbing back into the maze is something I remember was missing in the 8bit version. Was that ever added?
BTW,
This is the closest version of BT next to the Intellivision version. I remember playing that until the controller broke. Great job Ken.

Actually everything in the sale worked. The PS had a cut that he just taped over. The cut shorted out the PS. Everything works great and I have a CO25233- 002 REV A board with Expansion port but in a Deck #5 case. The Made in China sticker is a Gold oval pasted over the Made in Taiwan part of the sticker. $17 is a great deal. I was buying it for spare parts, but I might as well use it.

I know 512Meg is too much, but the best deal I could find the past month was about $18 shipped for a 128Meg. If I knew about the $7 BB deal, I would have picked it up. I know I will find some use for my 512Meg besides for the CC2.
Maybe it might get filled eventually with all the Homebrews that are coming out.

So you are one of them hoarding all the 1200xl's I have 1 600xl, 48k 400, 800, 4 800xl (1 removed pokey and bad PIA)(1 256k), 3 130xe, and a dead XEGS.
I went for cheap on the 600xl once I found the link to the mod above and used the XEGS rams. I just love its small footprint on the desk with a toploading cart. What are you planning for the Frankentari?

The companies on pricewatch tend to be shady. I find that Newegg.com is a better choice. I just look on the Refurb section for something I want. The reason is the prices are good except shipping knocks the prices above those on pricewatch. The refurbs get shipping for $1. I picked up my 2 RSMMC cards there. 512Meg RSMMC for $26 shipped. One was open the other was brand new. I can also use them in a Cell phone or digital camera. I know 512Meg is overkill in a CC2, but it was only$5 more than 256 or $7 more than 128.

Looks like a XE light gun to me. And it does not look cheap to me. Plus shipping only to UK.

I just got a new digital camera, and it came with a 16MB MMC card. I replaced it right away with a 512MB SD card, so I would like to offer the MMC for free for a CC2 user, preferrably one who doesn't have one yet. If you are not an established AA member, I may require confirmation that you actually own a CC2.If you had posted this 2 weeks ago, I would not have gotten my RSMMC cards. I have a few of those 8 meg and 16 meg SD cards. Too bad they are useless in the CC2.

Thats how I do it. I just play a few times a day. If I beat my score, I post it. I have lost my touch. I used to wait for those pterodactyls to come out just so I could practice killing them. You know I played alot when I was a kid. I actually killed 2 by accident during this week.
Artlover, you shouldnt give up. I played Asteroids even though I sucked. I could barely get over 10,000 on that game. I am just lucky my favorite games just came up 3 out of the last 4 weeks. I bought the 7800 just for Galaga. Now I play Joust and Ms. Pacman. I used to play Joust on the 800 all the time. The play is slightly different.

Good catch. I did not see that. I guess it really will be my test 7800. I have 2 already with good PS. I wanted one that I could mess around on. I just could not pass it up. I could cut the old PS plug and put it on a universal PS.

With so many posts lately with people looking for a 7800 I figured someone namely me should post the link on where to find one at a reasonable price $15. The source Best Electronics as any long time member can tell you is a very honest firm.sometimes.True, but you can pick up a 7800 + PS + games for near that price

Just a reminder this sale should end today. I guess the FB2 is doing well at retail. I was trying to pick it up at Target last week and it was sold out. I picked up a Rain Check and will check back with them in a few weeks.

Yes. I had a dead XEGS. I used its 4464 memory chips. If I just replace the chips on the 600xl with those chip, I only get 16k. If I then do the 3 solder mod. from Craig Lisowski, I get 64k. It works like any of my 800xl. I have enclosed a scan of the mod. They are the 3 red wires.
It just does not have the monitor jack. I have not had any memory problems since doing the upgrade. I may go ahead and look into doing the Super Video upgrade for my 800xl's and 600xl. I notice how much better my 800 and 130xe outputs video.

They have it for $24.88 here in Houston. The price may vary from city to city. It was in today's paper. They always have lots of stock when they advertise things.

XEGS chip compatibility
in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Posted · Edited by Almost Rice
Hi all. I was playing around with my broken XEGS. I bought it this way so I dont know what happened to it. It was the donor for my 64k 600xl. It would only give me a black screen.
I knew it was not the RAM, so I decided to find out why it did not work. First, I socketed the ram. They were empty so it was easy. Then I decided to socket all the 40pin chips.(This was to facilitate in the troubleshooting since desoldering 40pins takes me a little over an hour
) The 6502C and Antic were already socketed
. I just had to do the Pokey, Freddie, PIA CO14795, and GTIA. I did not socket the ROM since I did not have a 28pin socket handy and no replacement ROM either.
Once done, I cracked open my 600xl(all chips were socketed). I suspected the PIA was bad. I took it from the 600xl and put it in the XEGS. It started right up but it immediately went in ROM/RAM check screen. This was because I had put the 16k chips from the 600xl into the sockets. Once replaced with the 64k chips, Missile command started right up.
I tried to play MC, but there was no sound and no enemy or their missiles. It might have been the ROMs so I put in a MC cart. Result was the same. Pacman was OK but no sound. I could not go into BASIC. I just get a blue screen. Same when keyboard is connected(so it properly detected the keyboard). I could not get into the diagnostic screen.
Next, I replace the POKEY with one from the 600xl. There was no change.
SO, thats where I am at. My questions are: Are the PIA chips fully interchangeable between the XL and XEGS ? Could it be the ROM ? (I dont have another XEGS so will the XL/XE roms work in its place ?) What could it be if the PIA is compatible?
Anybody have a dead XEGS FS?(Nightsprinter
) I might go back and recheck my solder points.
I did not think anything was wrong with the POKEY since there was no change. I also did not test the SIO.
BTW Happy New Year everyone.
