Atari 7800 NIB Sold for Nearly $1,000?!
ProperRogue replied to sixersfan105's topic in Auction Central
For supposedly being NIB, that one controller has a great deal of crud on it. How would that even happen? -
Perhaps, now where do I put the tokens? All kidding aside, it's nothing more than a cleverly disguised plug & play unit with a built-in display, all housed in a fancy fiber board shell, similar to those old Midway cabinets from a few years ago. I'm willing to bet, for those willing to open their wallets @ $300.00 to have an arcade experience, with just a few dollars more, they could have the real thing. In all honesty Bill, no... I don't. Not on this one.

♫ Totally awesome video games! ♫

^^^ Very cool. Subscribed!

Technically, wouldn't this qualify as Media Mail? Software, manuals... definitely would be the cheapest method.

Considering the 2nd paragraph in post #1, in addition to the 2nd paragraph in post #7, it's my opinion that he deserves everything he has coming to him. Guy seems like a real piece of garbage! In all honesty, it's unlikely the BBB would do anything at all. You need to hit him harder than that by leaving negative reviews and poor customer experiences on places like the KLOV forums and BYOAC. That'll get'em where it hurts the most!!

The OP's first post was cold as ice... Had he said, "I was at the local Goodwill and found these 3 games in the bottom of a storage bin. Would anyone here happen to know what they're worth? Thank you.", then of course, this thread would have probably had a different outcome.

Depending on the condition, I'd say you're sitting on quite the goldmine.

PS2 Network Adaptor/HDD Discussion
ProperRogue replied to Rick Dangerous's topic in Classic Console Discussion
There's really no reason to use HDLoader or HDAdvance as they're long outdated. OPL is pretty much where it's at currently in regards to using a hard disk with the PS2. Take that utility disc and use it for a frisbee, or better yet, as a drink coaster next to your gaming rig. You'll NEVER need it. Winhiip+HDD+FMCB+OPL= Good times!! -
In that case, why not spend a few extra minutes and wipe down the shell with a damp rag? At least, pretty her up a little bit! Presentation is everything, you know! Just my 2 cents, and a gratuitous bump, I suppose.

Parker Brothers Reproduction Labels for sale peel and stick
ProperRogue replied to Age-of-Atarius's topic in Atari 2600
I did read the auction, which in turn, is why I made the above comment. In post #1 you displayed a collection of Parker Brothers labels and made it a point to reference those two games(Mr. Do's Castle & Q*bert's Qubes) wouldn't have labels created due to their rarity. You even cleverly decided not to add that page of labels to your showcase, with many of us here being none the wiser. Then, seeing them posted on eBay... it just seemed a little, oh I don't know..... what's the word I'm trying to think of??? The funny part though... is asking other members to aid your quest in finding high quality scans all while you're turning a profit from the sale of the label. Did you really not see anything wrong with that?
