  1. @grips03 and @Ice Cream Jonsey, send me an email with your issues, I'll take care of it. david.paige@atari.com
  2. The story is about you (and other characters) piloting a ship that makes cargo deliveries and other dangerous missions for a company that does not care about them. The computer AI has some of the best lines of corporate "you-are-disposable-but-have-a-nice-day" in the game. I wouldn't call the story narrative "DoorDash in Space," but it is funny. Along those lines, Death Stranding could be called Apocolypse UPS Man.
  3. This is the smallest number of extra screws. A short stand-off would do well in the VCS. I feel like I'm bending the m.2 just a tad bit without a stand-off. https://www.amazon.com/Screws-Mounting-Components-Gigabyte-Motherboard/dp/B08HX4F7KP/ref=sims_dp_d_dex_ai_speed_loc_mtl_v4_d_sccl_2_1/139-2069410-4217845?pd_rd_w=cpTQM&content-id=amzn1.sym.f8b81522-706a-46d3-a585-5fc6e1682ebe&pf_rd_p=f8b81522-706a-46d3-a585-5fc6e1682ebe&pf_rd_r=GKBK8ECTJGC5PAYC5XS1&pd_rd_wg=paW0G&pd_rd_r=60782e30-a07c-4254-b797-87c73f1e2dd0&pd_rd_i=B08HX4F7KP&psc=1 If you have a founders edition VCS, there will be no screws. After that, all the VCS units have the screws. Hopefully you'll open it up and have one sitting there.
  4. I'm defensive because you have twisted what is happening. You say, more importantly, implied, that the game is being taken away from people who purchase the game. 100% false. Yes, the need to redownload is clunky, something I'm trying to address in a future update, but we have 100% to make sure you have access to what you have purchased. Same thing goes for Tailgunner. The developers requested to take it off the store, like they did with Steam and every other platform, because they broke up as a development team. That was their choice and I don't have the right to continue to sell a game that the developers request to take off the store. But like with Tailgunner, if you need to re-download it, we'll get it back to you in our current, clunky ass way we are currently doing it. So yes, I take complete offense on your crap take on the situation. I'm not happy the dev requested to take the game off the store. I'm trying to fix that. I don't need you creating ill feelings on things that are not actually happening.
  5. 100% false. Your game has not been removed from your VCS. It has been removed from the store. Nobody is begging to get a game they own. This is just shit-stirring.
  6. I didn't get really any notice on this either. But as soon as I read that request, I felt I had no option but to honor that request. I've been in contact in order to change this situation. I'll let you know if anything changes as quick as I am able to.
  7. hey guys, just want to let you know what is up here. Yes, Alien Abduction is offline at the moment. I hope to get it back up soon. I got a message, very late evening on Halloween, to take it down after the 6 month exclusivity time frame expired. I had no choice but to take it off the Store as soon as I read that request as it was the wish of the developer to do so. Now, I think there is a touch of confusion on being exclusive for a time period and then what other avenues he can pursue with his game, so I feel confident that we can have it back on the Store soon. But as the creator of the game, he has ultimate choice in what he wishes to do and I have to abide by those wishes. Now, if you have the game, you can still play it. The game will not be removed from your VCS. If for some reason you have to redownload it, contact Support and we can fix that issue. Right now the VCS is a bit clunky with this kind of mechanic, something I want to address in a future update.
  8. The JoyPad is getting the screw-in thumbstick. You can see it in the pictures of the manufacturing details notes.
  9. Yeah, I think anytime people have the power to pull the curtain back (where they can) the better people are for it. I think most here would love to see the process it took to bring the CX40+ into reality.
  10. Hey Ben, thanks for showing this. I love seeing the manufacturing process and the detail and work that goes into making...anything. Sometimes people just assume "things get made" and do not fully understand the time and details it takes. I hope we can see more things like this that show off the manufacturing and development process.
  11. Yes, I am not disagreeing with you. Everything about what is happening, and has been happening off and on since July-ish, completely and utterly sucks. I've worked really hard to bring in games to the VCS, and every time I feel I've got some positive momentum, crap like this happens. I can not express how much I hate what is going on and, more importantly, how little control we have over this. Basically, it is not the VCS that is broken. The other half of the digital store, the eCommerce side of things, have been doing various updates to their systems and, well, basically broke things. But broke in a way that only affects some people but not others. Which in a way, is worse because now they have to figure out why it is only broken for some people but not others. And since June, there is no clear pattern of "you can buy a game" vs "you can't buy a game." If it broke for everyone, that would be easy to fix because you can point and say "hey, that broke." Anyways, we are dependent on the eCommerce people to fix their stuff. We can only help by sending info or data, but we have zero control over directly fixing anything. And yes, we are looking at revamping the Store. When it was originally created back in 2019/2020 it is the coding equivalent of a bowl of spaghetti. It just needs to be burned down and start all over. But that takes time to build the infrastructure. We can't just whip it out over the weekend, as much as I wish for that to happen. Right now our priority is to get what we have working again, then get something new and better in place. It takes a lot of engineering work to switch to another payment platform. These things are not interchangeable like switching batteries. Ultimately, something like that has to be done. At this very moment, at this very second, all I can do is apologize for the frustration you are feeling. I'm as frustrated as you are. I know those might sound like empty words, but they are not. I'd love to take your money! We are doing everything in our power to get things fixed.
  12. I find twisting the joystick while still using the stick to move very difficult. I don't particularly enjoy using the Classic Joystick in Yars: Recharged. If you like playing Yars: Recharged with the Joystick, Berzerk: Recharged will be a similar play style. With all the enemies swarming around you, the twin-stick shooter style of the Modern Controller works best for me.
