I have an opened Mines of Minos Commavid cartridge and it looks exactly like that one on Ebay. I am wondering is the proto on Ebay really a proto??

Well this is my auction. I recently received a batch of games that had both PAL and NTSC games mixed in the lot - obvious from the label. The other games I have had for awhile. I decided to sell without testing because I need to raise some money. My intent wasn't to fool anyone, it just happens that both of my Atari's are broken and I didn't want to lie and say I tested it. I also thought that a little mystery might be fun. I didn't realize it would piss anyone off.

Well I am kind of a newbie to Atari. I use to play all the time but up until three years ago I only had about 75 loose Atari 2600 games. Today I have over 700+ Atari 2600 games and half are probably boxed. I am about 20 boxes away from complete NTSC. I decided to concentrate on Atari 2600. I admire others that can collect more but I am satisfied with just Atari 2600 for now. There are probably some more impressive collections but I don't know of anyone who has built a collection like I have in just 3 years. Hope this makes interesting reading.

Well, I saw the boxed one on Ebay too but the deal and the seller was very questionable at that. Many on Atari Age thought the auction was a fake. Also I believe there was pen marks just in one place on the one on Ebay while this one has pen marks engraved on the end label as well as largely near the title. Furthermore, I also notice the label is ripped at the top with several other imperfections like stains. In my opinion, It would be worth more in better condition but considering these imperfections I believe a nearly mint Condor Attack NTSC is a pretty fair deal.

Miles please email me at [email protected] Thanks.

I just thought everyone would like to know that I have not received any additional emails or any proof that this was legit. Supposedly there was an original receipt and packing list for which I would receive a picture. Bottom line... No emails, no pictures, no packing slip, no receipt.

I will pay big $$$. Someone must have these games and are willing to sell. Please email me at [email protected] Thanks.

I am the one that won the Beagle Brothers auction. I appreciate the information people emailed me to alert of a possible situation. As of now, I have not yet bought the game because I share the concerns that it could be fake. The seller has been very cooperative and that he may have the orginal receipt and packing slip. I will wait to see if any further documents pictures can be produced. If it turns out to fake and despite questions about the sellers past auctions mentioned in this post, I have reason to believe that the seller was not aware of this because of some information that I have about the game prior to purchase and also that the seller has been very understanding under the given circumstances not like some of the others that have been on Ebay. I hope it turns out to be authentic pirate Beagle Bros. Cart like the others scanned on this website but right now the evidence does point to the game as being a homeade fake.

The Bomb games continue to be listed on Atariage, however, I have never heard of anyone or any proof of these games. Does anyone have any NTSC Bombs?
-
Okay I have Tomarc and Chuck Norris boxed. I have all eight single enders loose. and 6 out of 8 NTSC Xonox double enders. So according to this survey, no one has even seen Ghost Manor, Spike Peak, Sir Lancelot Motocross boxed.
-
I have seen Maurader around $15-20. Alot more if you have box and instructions.
-
Does anyone have any boxed Xonox single enders? You just never see these even on Ebay.
-
I found a loose Waterworld for $1. Not much else. I think there's alot of competition is Mass.

I have asked the seller of Quadrun to send me pictures. Still no response. I admit it could be legit but I am very suspicious.
-
Also in the description location he puts Go Phillies very similar to what he did under Sun14 (Go Reds). Also in the description the seller is say he is selling all his games and is doesnt want to play them anymore, yet Quadrun is the only game he is selling. Why not Combat, Yars Revenge, Some rare ones, Some Common Ones. Also no picture to boot. Can't come up with an original? Most sellers with something so valuable would take at least one picture to help with condition. Just one auction makes me suspicious when he says he's selling all. The kicker is the glasses! Something has changed with the ID so very recently.
-
I believe the Quadrun is a fake and has been hacked. This guy has never sold before it's just too coincedental that yet another Quadrun is out after we just had 3 real ones. Quadruns just don't come out that fast. Now he has no picture in the item. Be Careful with this one.

No I actually just found the info but haven't fowarded to anyone yet. But I did receive a response from Ebay to my initial detailed complaint. Frankly, I am dissapointed to receive such a generic response for such effort and detail. I'll bet you someone pulled a standard letter form in 10 minutes and emailed it back to me. The disappointing Ebay response was: Hello, Thank you for writing to SafeHarbor with your concerns. I am here to assist you. eBay doesn't actually handle the merchandise that is offered for auction. Without firsthand knowledge of the item, we are unable to guarantee the accuracy of the listing information. We encourage members who are interested in bidding on an item to email the seller for additional information. Be sure to ask the seller specific questions regarding age, authenticity and condition of the item before bidding. In the unlikely event that the seller doesn't respond, you may want to reconsider your bidding decision. Part of this information is contained in our User Agreement, under article 3. I have included a portion of that Article below for your review: I didn't include article 3 but any fool can figure that out. I expected a more personal response say that an investigation was underway and any needed info would be forwarded. Just makes me sick. I think the best chance is to cut through the red tape and get NESchampion to foward it on to the live Human at Ebay who is investigating this with the police. I'll will try to contact NESchampion but hopefully he will come back to these posts.

Okay I found some old Correspondence. Too bad this bulliten board doesn't have Feb 2001 posts I am sure all the Ebay IDs were mentioned. The bidder TeddyTeens from Feb 2001 was: Mark Melson 1556 Clovernook Drive Erlanger, KY 41018 The email used was [email protected] I looked on the map and it can't be more than 10 miles apart. What are the odds that it's the same person? Same first name Same State cities within 10 miles
-
I am going to get back to the board whether it's the same guy which I am 99% sure it is. If NESChampion can get another human being at Ebay this may be ammunition needed to put this looser behind bars. I would be happy to give info to Ebay or Police for that matter.
-
Marco I think it's the same guy Mark Mechley, however, he was a false bidder. I think I may have the emails on an old computer. Now I'll have to blow off the dust to see if it is the same guy.
-
As a matter of fact I believe it is the same guy and several post were placed on this website about it. Albert or Alex do you keep over a year's worth of info?
