Thanks everyone for your advice and suggestions. It's still a tough call. I now the minute I buy one, the following week it will receive a drastic price drop. Maybe if I hadn't recently purchased a PS3 I would be more willing to take the plunge. The sale at Gamestop goes until 2/16/16 so I have some time to think.

Gamestop has new PS Vitas on sale for $169.99. Is now the time to buy one?

Update - I was successful today in removing the side panel. It still didn't want to slide so I resorted to taking a small screwdriver and gently prying it. A very small piece of plastic on one of the tabs broke off but now the panel slides on and off easily. Save2600 - thanks for your advice and the video link. Now to track down a hard drive.

For some reason, the side panel will not move no matter what I do. I don't want to pry it off for fear that it will crack.

Please confirm - should I push the long way (from the power button to the back) or the short way (away from the PS3 logo on the sliding disc cover)?

I'm interested in upgrading the hard drive on my 12gb PS3 slim, but I'm having a problem removing the side panel. All of the youtube videos I've watched make it seem easy - push down and slide. For some reason, the panel on my PS3 won't budge. Any ideas? Has anyone else run into this problem? Thanks.

There's no fee if you use a PayPal balance or bank account. There's a 2.9% plus $0.30 fee is you use a credit card or debit card.

I just did the same after receiving a reply email from Duranik stating to use that method.

If you pay to a merchant for an item, the person receiving a payment pays the PayPal fee. If you send a gift, you pay the PayPal fee. The email from Duranik said to use PayPal but not how the payment should be sent - merchant or gift. I was just curious how others were handling the payment.

Have you paid for it yet via PayPal? If yes, did you use payment to merchant for item or gift to family or friend?

Has any one else got the email saying their cartridge is ready? Mine came today.

Sorry to hear they are a problem as there are a few games I am interested in (Batman Alpha & Prime Beta). Guess I'll look for another source.

The only way I get sound from my 32x connected to the model 1 Genesis is to use headphones. No sound comes from the TV. I think you need a cable that has one end which goes into the headphone slot on the Genesis 1 model and the other end that goes into the AV slot on your TV or VCR.

I would be interested in both.

I have $100 in GameStop gift cards and a few of the stores near me still have the Borderlands 2 Limited Edition PlayStation Vita Bundle. Out of pocket with tax would be around $110. Is this a good deal or should I wait for a price drop? I'm not excited about the Borderlands 2 game - the online reviews haven't been great - but getting a new system and a memory card is interesting. Thanks.
