BOMBER - Classic BASIC action! (not compatible with rb+)
mmbe replied to CyranoJ's topic in RAPTOR Basic+ (Deprecated)
Thank you for the clarification. Can BASIC programs be used used in Raptor Basic +? -
Picked up this for the GBA at a local garage sale. It's missing the instructions and cardboard insert. Seller wanted $3. I offered and they accepted $2.

BOMBER - Classic BASIC action! (not compatible with rb+)
mmbe replied to CyranoJ's topic in RAPTOR Basic+ (Deprecated)
I hate to bring back an old topic - but I had a problem with this in rb+. When I ran the command c:RB+ build bomber I got this: Assembling raptor skeleton Cannot open: rapapp.s Build error! What did I do wrong? Please note just started using rb+ so this is a question from a complete newcomer. Thanks. -
Minimum System Requirements for Raptor Basic +?
mmbe replied to mmbe's topic in RAPTOR Basic+ (Deprecated)
This morning after several attempts I was able to get Raptor Basic+ and Virtual Jaguar to play nice with one another. Too long of a story to waste time documenting. I'm glad everything works on my old Windows XP laptop. Look forward to testing the waters and seeing what I can learn. Time to explore the test projects and discover how they work. -

I have a Jaguar and CD attachment - no Skunk or BJL. -
Minimum System Requirements for Raptor Basic +?

Hopefully this weekend I can load the programs and see where I'm at. By the time I get home from work in the evening the last thing I won't to do is look at a computer. LinkoVitch - thanks for testing on a Windows XP machine. Your results give me hope. ggn - thanks for offering to do a test. -
Minimum System Requirements for Raptor Basic +?
mmbe replied to mmbe's topic in RAPTOR Basic+ (Deprecated)
Gemintronic & LinkoVitch, Thank you for your replies. It looks like I can use my old Windows XP laptop to do the actual programming with Raptor Basics + and then would need my current laptop with Windows 8 to run Virtual Jaguar to test what ever I may create. Now I just need to take that first step and try the actual program. -
I tried searching the forum but couldn't find the answer to the topic title. Can I use an old PC with Windows XP or do I need something more modern? Thanks.

Picked up Lego Dimensions Fun Pack: Power Puff Girls from GameStop. It had a yellow clearance sticker and was marked $5.97. It was in a display showing all clearance items as being 50% off the yellow sticker price. I asked the checkout person (I believe her name was Sage) if this item qualified for the 50% discount. She said it would if I asked nicely and then said she would honor it even if it rang up at the regular clearance price. So I got it for $3.30 including tax.

New video from MetalJesusRocks. Guess he didn't have time to post a link here. https://youtu.be/4njQpwDsZ3E

In your original post you mentioned hopefully doing two groups of releases for a total of 4 Jaguar games in 2018. (This will lead to Jaguar released (hopefully!) to be done in pairs, so (hopefully) there will be 2 releases in 2018 of a total of 4 games.) With October being the new date for the games to be ready, will this release be for 2 games or 4 games? Either way I can't wait to see what is coming.

Picked these up on Saturday from Gamestop. As a Powerup Rewards member I get 10% off used games so the prices shown reflect the discount. The first two Uncharteds just had the generic cases. When the store employee was getting the games, he gave me the cases that had the original art and manuals. PS3 Uncharted Drake's Fortune (complete) - $0.89 PS3 Uncharted 2 Among Thieves (complete) - $0.89 PS3 Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception (no manual) - $0.89 PS3 Turning Point Fall of Liberty (complete) - $2.69 PS3 MotorStorm (complete but the manual is in French) - $2.69 PS Vita - MLB 12 the Show (cartridge only) -$0.89. Not bad for less than $10.

Retro Game Designer : Create your own games for Jaguar
mmbe replied to Orion_'s topic in Atari Jaguar
I wonder if he would be willing to work just on the Jaguar portion of the program? Here are my thoughts. He originally wanted to raise about $18,000 and this would cover 4 systems. That breaks down to about $4,500 per system. If the Retro Game Designer (Jaguar Edition) was treated like RPG Maker for the Playstation One, it might get more interest within the Jaguar community. Setting a price at $50 for this edition, he would only need to sale 90 units to reach $4,500. I think this is a reachable goal. The $50 version would be the amateur version (unable to sell created games). There would also be the professional version at say $300. With the professional version, he would only need to sale 15 units to reach $4,500. I would think between the amateur and professional versions he would reach $4,500, possibly higher. For those who just buy the amateur version, an option could be available where they can upgrade to the professional version (just pay the difference between the two versions). Whether $4,500 is worth it for him to continue with the Jaguar only edition only he can answer. I know I would spend $50 for the amateur version to see what I could come up with. At that price I could only get one hour of work from a professional video game coder. Orion has done a lot for the Jaguar community. I wish him well. -
Has anyone ordered from Telegames UK web site for Jaguar games?
mmbe replied to PhoenixMoonPatrol's topic in Atari Jaguar
No problem. -
VladR, Sorry for the confusion. Let me state that the purpose of my original post was only to confirm what you had said in the a previous topic. It was in no way intended to be seen as an attack on your progress. I wish you well with your project and look forward to seeing your results. I think you would not have a problem reaching sales of 150 carts.

His post (#39) in this closed topic seems to suggest a challenge. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/280535-jaguar-needs-more-3d-games/page-2

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and suggestions. I'm not really sure I even want/need a Wii U. Lately I have been bouncing between getting a Wii U or a PS Vita. The Vita seems to be the current front runner.

Songbird Productions appears to still have it in stock for $99.95. http://songbird-productions.com/catalog.shtml -
The price difference I have seen between the 8 and the 32 is about $20.

If I don't plan on downloading games (just purchasing the discs) and the system doesn't require the games to be installed on the hard drive, is there any other reason to choose the 32GB system over the 8GB system?

Picked this up on Friday for $6.99 from store called Reckless Records.

Yes, everything has been cleaned. All my other games load consistently. Xenon is the only one that requires a few tries.

CyranoJ, I had been in contact with Al when the problem first occurred. I purchased the game off of AtariAge's Ebay store. No need for a replacement game to be sent since I don't think the problem is with the game itself. The game works fine without the CD attachment and does eventually work with the CD attached. My only reason to for the original post was to make people aware of a possible issue. Since it appears the issue is related to my setup, no further action is required. What I really need are some cheat codes to get further in the game (unlimited health or a level skip code would be nice). On a side note, just a shout out to Al for being very prompt when I first contacted him via Ebay with the issue. Excellent customer service. Thanks.

Just found this on Ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ANTS-6-29-2018-Atari-Jaguar-CD-Release/223038505510?hash=item33ee218226:g:D3EAAOSwJRxbNwaM

Since I raised this issue, let me provide an update. The game loads fine without the CD attached. It takes several tries with the CD attached to get the game to load. It's kinda like having a difficult to load NES game - the need to find the sweet spot. I never had this problem with any of my other games and was just curious if anyone else ran into the same issue. Looks like I'm the only one and that's fine.
