Has anyone seen this? (Arcade Console w/Midway Games)
CARTRIDGE STEALER replied to tenoch's topic in Arcade and Pinball
yea, they have been out for a little over a year now. TARGET carries them, too. -
thats because theyre 80 pound weakings!
-
the kids look no older than 18, so chances are....they werent even born when these systems were released. as you can see, there are other markings on the strret which shows that this was not the first time that they had done something like this.
-
wel, to this day, the best find I had was an ATARI 5200 MIB (played with twice and still has its original plastic wrapped around it) and 5 MIB games (ms pac man, pac man, junglehunt, pole position and something else) for $20!
-
I learn something new everyday. I thought they stopped doing games for atari right before they merged the brand name with "ADAM". does anyone know how many games coleco made for the atari?
-
Yep...you should really check out the 2600 rarity guide...there are alot of arcade games that were converted that you might be surprised by. This site also has nice arcade/2600 version comparisons: http://www.ataritimes.com/2600/features/ar...omparisons.html On a side note, I think Commando is better than Ikari. wow!! thanks! Ive always wanted to see some of the 2600 games next to the arcade orginals. I think KUNG FU was one of the best by this list. but I have another question after viewing this list: some games I always thought were "exclusive" to the Colecovision (roc n rope, time pilot, frontline) so were these games produced for the atari by coleco like some of the coleco's earlier games (donky kong, venture, turbo?)
-
ah, I remember when they reintroduced the 2600 in the late 80's. they made some spiffy commercial with its slogan "UNDER $50!" with a new body. they made frontline for the 2600 and COMMANDO as well?
-
I came across this on ebay: I never knew this game was released when the 2600 games were still in production, let alone replicating any type of complicated graphics it had. http://cgi.ebay.com/IKARI-WARRIORS-ATARI-2...1QQcmdZViewItem

Last summer I stopped by a garage sale and saw an arcade game for sale. I stopped and checked it out and it was "KARATE CHAMP". the guy said he wanted $50 for it. I thought about it and I began to debate about it to myself. I didnt get it on the basis that it was a game I didnt like as a kid. it seemed boring to me. I think back now and I should have bought it. my question is that if I had bought, would I have been able to place another game in it by merely taking out a circuit board, much like a home game system and a cartridge? the reason why i say this is because I remember seeing many arcade games as a kid that didnt match the cabinet itself (like pac man inside a galaga cabintet).

thanks.....I will leave it along on my comp until I get a new one. thats when I will upgrade. I dont get my problems unless I start messing around with it then you see me coming here begging for help. I may sound shallow but MAME is the best thing that I have ever stumbled upon on the net (besides porn)! I think I just need more RAM on my comp so I can run the games really smoothly. I cant wait to play Sega's "STAR WARS TRILIGY". I fell in love with the game in the arcade but it is way too powerful for my comp. I currently have 224 MB of RAM now. thats slow, right?
-
yes, it does. the game itself seems "loose" as to if you give it a little jiggle, it rattles. I hope it works tho. they wanted $8 but I chewed them down to $5. The atari only came with paddles but I saw another garages sale a few blocks away with a set of joysticks so it was a good day!

Wow, you can really find everything on eBay...
CARTRIDGE STEALER replied to Pixelboy's topic in Classic Console Discussion
well, I remember in my COLECOVISION magazine that the games he has listed here: http://cgi.ebay.com/EVEN-MORE-UNRELEASED-C...1QQcmdZViewItem that coleco did have these games planned but were scrapped for some reason. I still remember the photos, too. I have the magazine somewhere in my garage or attic. -
I have MAME32 0.101. Should I change it? how many series am I behind?
-
I remember this game very well in the arcade and despite his freakish nature, I kinda liked the games (the scariest part is where his main objective is to rescue the little children from Joe Pesci) There seems to be 4 version on MAME. 3 of them freeze up once you get mid way through the 1st level and the 4 works fine except that the color is way off and distorted. Im sure for some legal reasons, I cannot find a perfect copy but does anyone know where I can get it a "fix it" code? thanks!

The new owners decided to change the windows so the house would not be instantly recognizable to tourist. It seems nothing out of the ordinary ever happens there. yes, your right. But the house in the above picture was not used in the movies. the land was too small to film a movie on so they found a house that looked like it in new jersey and used that one. they just put on additions to make it look like the original (boat house in the back yard, drive ways, etc.)

yea, I love garage sales. I started back in the 80's. I used to go once in a while but I actively started going back in 97. I would spend about 3 hours and hit about 50 garage sales in one weekend.

CARTRIDGE STEALER replied to ComputerCollector's topic in Classic Console Discussion
yes, that was the thrill of the roller controller: always finding games that can be used with it. -
