I loved them so much that I would steal them!

I found a NES with 19 games, 2 controllers and a un for $7 on sunday. on saturday, I found a PLAYSTATION 2 for $5.

figured it out.....F11 fixes it!

I selected some setting on my mame page (the page where you can select your games and on the top, there is a "pull down" menu where you can select options like "default", "audit" "save" and other various commands. all I see now is a list of games and on the top right, it can configure the menu's looks. But I dont have all the drop down options as before. can anyone help me get back to my original screen? thanks!!

In new york, they are called both yard sales & garage sales. we also have 'moving sales. sometimes there are "tag sales" but I dont go to those. those usually suck. garage sales are done out of the garage and driveway and yard sales are for those people that,l well.....dont own a garage so they set up on thier fron lawn or driveway.

those are coleco cartridges. you can tell by 2 key features: the game is "sqaure", unlike the atari one where they are "slanted" on the side in the first half of the cartridge. secondly, the back is designed to hold coleco's "overlays".

scored 14 NES games today for $5. I needed 11 of them. my current NES game count is now 115 (not including doubles)

I love garage sales!! I go every saturday. i dont always get good stuff. month ago I scored about 30 NES games for $4. my best haul to date was 2 summers ago when a guy was selling an ATARI 5200 MIOB (played with only twice!!!) he had it in its original wrapping still! not only that, he had 5 MIOB cartridges! I believe it was MS PAC MAN, PAC MAN, POLE POSITION, DIG DUG and something else all for $20!! I talked him down from $25. Aint I cheap?

I wonder why I cant find MARIO BROS for the mame? I know nintendo has the lockdown on most of its games but some are easy to find under different names (monkey kong comes to mind) anyone know where I can score a mame mario brothers? (the 1982 version, not super)

I just tried playing Stern's FRENZY (I used to love it on the colecovison) and there seems to be no sound whatsoever. I couldnt find a sample for it.

yea, it looks pretty messy. I think I screwed up my mame about a dozen times since I put it on my computer. I first had it in 1999 and I opened all the zip files and messed it up. I gave up until I was helped by my friend atr the end of 2005. I cant stop playing it! i have most of the games I grew up playing but there seems to be so many more games that are not listed in the mame catagories.

I believe Donkey Kong Jr still uses samples for some of the sounds. I think it should show them as missing if you run the audit option (maybe). Put this file in your "Samples" directory and see if it makes a difference. holy shit!! it works!!! thanks........I was wondering why it was missing. how do you get missing files if you find out they are missing? well, everyone called them "arcade games". dont you remember the old atari and coleco commercials?

I rememeber the first arcade that popped up in my town. it was a small, shady kind of a place. I think this was back in 1982-83. I mean, it was so shady that it had the neighborhood drug dealer hanging out in the back selling weed! then, the bigger arcades popped up. 2 in the sunrise mall then a smaller one across the street in the flea market. TIME OUT in the mall had all the latest games while GALAXY arcade had the oldies but goodies, it would give you an extra token for every dollar you got change for.

sounds like you and me hung out in the same arcades! Im an hour from NYC and from long island. I used to hang out in the Sunrise mall TIME OUT so much that they actually gave me a job there when I was old enough!

I have DONKEY KONG JR for my MAME and it appears that some sounds are missing. I have searched the net for more copies of the games and they all appear to be the same. the sounds that are misssing are when JR "jumps" (I belived he is supposed to make a "boing" sound) and when he is "climbing". does anyone know if there is a copy with the correct sounds? thanks!!

I'm sure you can find roms for a few unreleased Atarisoft CV titles if you look hard enough. I got the pac man one but for some reason, am unable to play it on my emmulator.

I really wished coleco had survived longer. It was a major part of my childhood. I would have loved to have seen more games for it, especially arcade styled ones. I was an arcade junky and I simply had to have every game on the coleco that was in the arcade. I cant believe it only lasted 3 years. it felt so much longer.

I just saw a list of unreleased colcovision games and Im wondering if any, if not all, have somehow made it to the black internet market in forms of MAME? if so, anyone have a link?
