1. Ok, I feel like an ass now. Considering my friend isnt too savvy with computers, he didnt give me all the details. He said he got a remote controller joystick for his computer and he could play all coleco games. I asked him to give me his brothers phone number so I could get a more detailed explanaition. I called him and he told me that all it was is a emmulator he got off the net and he downloaded onto some disks and bought a wrielss "recoil" controller. I apoligize for getting everyone all up in arms. I was excited to hear that a home version had appeared only to find out it was not.
2. I dont think so. ill call him again today and get some more facts.
3. Ok, as many of you know, there are "video game clones" out there. you can pay $20-30 for a controller that allows you to play atari 2600 and nintendo games, all of course are "illegal". But today, i spoke with a friend down in florida and he said his brother bought him a controller that featured all the games that were played on the COLECOVISION. He ran off a couple to me like COSMIC AVENGER, PITFALL, LADYBUG, SMURF & MONTAZUMAS REVENGE. He didnt give me much more info but I tried searchin the net and found nothing. Does anyone else know of this new clone?
4. Ive seen the flowers a million times and I believe its some sort of "timer". but i actually never knew for what.
5. I have to be honest with everyone here. when I posted the first line, I actually got it from a friend (scream and fly). when we were in the 6th grade (83), our music teacher made us huddle around and we had to create our own lyrics and scream n fly was the first and he used those words. theyve been in my head ever since! thanks, greg!
6. On the first day of christmas my true love gave to me a cartridge and an atari
7. holy crap!!!! i never saw those rca's on the back of any colecovision i owned! where did you get one with those rcas on the back!?!?!?!?!?!
8. colecovision is 1000 times better. its a no brainier. atari was first, then intellivision then coleco killed them both. coleco is the superior of them all, even over the 5200.
9. I'm talking emulation, not a real proto cart. 961196 can someone send me the PAC MAN emulator file? thanks! [email protected]
10. nice! thats something I would to see. When I dig mine up, i will post it up here.
11. does anyone remember the promos coleco used to give out such as the bumper stickers "gotta get home to my colecovision" and "I HEART ADAM"? i took off the ugly white sticker on my coleco back in the day and put on the shiny "i love my adam" in its place.
12. i would do anything to see ROC N ROPE as well as TIME PILOT on these collections, as they looked in the arcade. hell, i would love to see donkey kong and donkey kong jr on a nintendo one, with the 4th levels and thier intermissions.
13. hey, does anyone remember the bumperstickers coleco had that said "gotta get home to my colecovision!" and it featured some of coleco's most populat chacters.
14. Uhm... how would I do that? I click on the "Online Rarity Guide" link and then what? BTW Here's my favourite Colecovision list: http://grblitz.overclocked.org/colex1.htm Greetings, Manuel 952377 i just looked over the list and I noticed many atari soft games that say are availible now like pac man. how are these games availble now if they werent offered in the first place 20 years ago?
15. wow! thats an impressive list. ok, what was your favorite game? Mine was "SPY HUNTER"
16. has there been made for the colecovision? if possible, can someone list them? (I know this is big request!) I always thought there were something less than 75 games (not including atari expansion module games)
17. this is a dream come true!!!! I would love to see all the classic games in a "flash back" type of system. however, there were some restrictions when it came to some games. for instance, I had bought "FRONTLINE" for an extemely cheap price when it was first released but I did not have the money for the super action controller so I was never able to finish the game unless I begged my mom to but me a set of SA controllers. please do away with the SA buttons and make controllers with more than 4 or more buttons! (yes, use the keypad even if you have to!) i would also like to see games that never saw the day of light (I remember reading about some in some issues of the coleco magazine from back in the day) and if possible, why not include the ADAM versions (those versions had the intermissions in them!!!!!)
18. is that every coleco game in existence? im missin so many of those!
19. ah, a british fan! i wanted to the spectrum badly because it was the only system out there that featured the Atari's arcade version of "RETURN OF THE JEDI". thank God it was availible recently with a secret code on the gamecube!
20. the thing I hated most about coleco's pause feature is when it was acitvated, the games's screen would go "black", then you would hear an intermission tune play. then of course, there was a few seconds of "delay" when you unpaused it, basically allowing you time to find where were you in the game!
