  1. Looking for complete, mint copies of the following DS games for notably less than retail price. "Complete" for me includes the Nintendo warnings pamphlet and Nintendo Power ad slip (for first party games). Have cash, BfMEII (X360) + Guide to trade. List: 2006 FIFA World Cup Asphalt: Urban GT Big Brain Academy Cars FIFA Street 2 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: The Genie & the Amp Ice Age 2: The Meltdown Lost Magic Madagascar Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time Monster House Need for Speed Most Wanted Need for Speed Underground 2 Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends Nintendogs: Dachshund and Friends Nintendogs: Labrador and Friends Over the Hedge Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Retro Atari Games Sega Casino Sudoku Gridmaster Super Princess Peach Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour Zoo Keeper Zoo Tycoon DS
  2. Not mine, not bidding. Don't see many of these come up for auction. Complete with the cardboard case and plastic cartridge sleeve. Item number: 290012082160
  3. Must be complete, including original case w/ GDC sticker and Satoru Iwata letter. Going out of town for a week, will check on offers when I return.
  4. Wow, really? Mine's been great for many years. Maybe I had a fluke and got a good one.
  5. Gravis Game Pad Pro USB (eBay link, not mine) The old standard for simple gaming, now with USB goodness. Unfortunately, the original Game Pad was darn close to a SNES pad but is 15-pin joystick only ... maybe that would suit you, though?
  6. I just wanted it for completeness. For all the first-party games that include one, the insert is custom printed for that particular game (i.e. Bowser in his Kart is on the cover of the Mario Kart DS insert). I guess I consider it to be as much a part of a "complete" game as any originally included extras like a map or poster. All the other pack-in games came with one, so I thought maybe the MPH demo did as well (since I got the game secondhand). Thanks for your replies. As for the code on the back, all it does here in the US is let you officially register the game on Nintendo.com in your account. On an EXTREMELY rare basis, NOA will actually send a little trinket out to registered owners of a particular game or system. That's how some people got the Kirby stylus (for registering Canvas Curse) and I assume that's how I got the Brain Age stylus that Nintendo sent me. But there is no "points" system like NOJ has, unfortunately.
  7. I haven't played a PSP for more than 5 minutes, but FWIW ... How would a game update be distributed to a PSP game? Has it been done before? Would it have to be a wireless-enabled game, with an update downloaded and stored to a Memory Stick? Would it be bundled in a future firmware update from Sony? Sounds even less appetizing than doing it on a home console.
  8. You know, the Nintendo Power ad with the My Nintendo registration code on the back? I got mine secondhand without one and need to find a complete one, if so.
  9. Yeah, I thought the same thing. And I'm also guessing he meant to call the game a "jewel," and not rather derisively call the potential buyer a "JEW!!".
  10. *not me* Question from "hiyh" for RAREST $$ Nintendo DS download station games Vol. 2 NFS, one of the first of these to come up on eBay. This is a rather texty auction from amos_82, a seller with 1700+ feedback. And the classic answer: No bids from me.
  11. Are the tilt controls reversible for SP and DS use?
  12. I'll echo all those above, and add Metal Arms: Glitch in the System.
  13. Well, the iron, a few sheets of plain white paper and a rather heavy flat-bottomed toolbox worked wonders for my collection of secondhand cardboard-sleeved Nintendo DS pack-in games (and their manuals). Smoother than new, I'd imagine. I didn't think to take any comparison shots, though.
  14. Anyone have a website link for ALS Industries, the company that produces almost all of the world's "officially licensed" system and game carrying cases? I have been searching for almost an hour this morning with no luck, and thought maybe someone here would have one. EDIT: After finding their physical address and doing a WHOIS on ALSIndustries.com, it looks like that is their website. It's an IIS default page, copyright 1996 Microsoft. Yeesh.
  15. I don't do much Sega Master System shopping ... at all. I found a Monopoly cart this afternoon, though, that caught my eye because it was labeled "Mono Poly." Did they all leave the factory this way, or did Sega catch the error and fix it in later runs? Any idea of the relative scarcity of the two, if it was ever fixed?
  16. For posterity. Let's hear the games for current systems, PS2 / GBA and later, that you suspect will be R8 or higher in the not-too-distant future. I realize there are already some PS2 and GBA games in this boat, due to their huge libraries, but how about stuff no one is watching? Some of the end-of-life Xbox games still trickling out, maybe? And there are a couple of DS games out there with almost nonexistent distribution. Reprints can change anything, though, I guess. I'll throw out this one: Texas Hold 'Em Poker Pack for Nintendo DS (BestBuy.com page). It's different than "Texas Hold 'Em Poker DS" which is much more common.
  17. A very open-ended offer: It's time to be rid of some of my DVD collection, and I'd like NDS or X360 stuff (games, accessories, what have you) or Mac retail games in exchange. Please check against my current "have" list. I'm open to most reasonable offers. I am going for a complete US DS collection, so even an offer of multiple crap games would be a valid trade. All DVDs listed are original NTSC Region 1 DVDs with all original packaging. No or very few scratches from personal viewing. Here's what I have available: Star Trek: The Motion Pictures DVD Collection Box Set All of the Star Trek movies through Nemesis (latest one) Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Original Series Box Set Firefly: The Complete Series Box Set I'll throw in the Serenity DVD as well The X-Men Collection Box Set X-men and X2 in nice collector's set Spider-man Collector's Edition Spider-man 2 Collector's Edition The Matrix Box Set
  18. The "Q*bert" game in the lot AtariRx mentioned, which appeared in the eBay link above, was in fact Q*bert's Qubes. I can only guess Iggy was upset that he didn't get in on the auction, which ended for about $35+S/H including that R9 game.
  19. Anyone have suggestions or a link to a guide on safely smoothing out creases and folds in boxes and manuals? I haven't started doing that yet on any of my stuff, and I keep thinking an iron through a t-shirt might work well ... or it might not work at all. Some of the stuff is not easily replaceable, so I want to check before I damage a creased manual or box any further. Thanks!
  20. I was already up to date from Microsoft, but when I inserted BfME2, I was required to download an update to the game from EA, not a firmware update. The update patched up some serious framerate issues (how the game shipped like that is a separate gripe altogether). Are you sure it was an MS firmware update that you were required to download? They did release one a few weeks back, but I hadn't heard of any new games requiring it yet.
  21. The auctions where 95% of the final total is made up of S/H fees are terrible, sure, and most of those sellers are doing that for the sole purpose of avoiding eBay fees. Others do it to make a quick $10-20 off an unobservant bidder, who would rather pay than get an unpaid item strike They will crack down on them for that, I have no doubts. Those listings also do everyone a disservice by skewing the search results if you sort by price. As voiced by a couple others in this thread, though, I get sick and tired of people griping about perfectly reasonable fees. Most of what I sell is not little cartridges or discs, mind you, but small electronics (A/V components) and accessories (stands, hookups, etc.). I ship with Priority Mail + Delivery Confirmation, which averages about $7.50 for my items. If I use Flat Rate postage, they're all that much. That gets it to you faster than UPS Ground, is usually cheaper than either UPS or FedEx, and offers reasonable proof to both of us that it arrived at its destination. I wrap everything in at least two layers of bubble wrap. That costs me about 35 cents. I bed it with whatever packing material I have on hand, such as peanuts or paper padding. Bought packing material lately, in quantities less than 1000 cu. ft.? That's at least a buck. Then there's tape. I tape the wrap around the item well, and seal every seam on the box. I go through about 3 standard rolls of 3M clear packing tape every time I put a small batch of items up for sale. In 5 years of selling stuff on eBay, I have never shipped an item that arrived broken or damaged in any way. But I am not about to charge a bare $7.50 to send some guy a $20 DVD player and lose $2-3 on packaging supplies. So guess what? I charge about $10.50 on average. Most people are fine with it, and even compliment the packing quality in their feedback. But there's always one or two that gripe and complain that "mailing only costs $5.00" and I "raped them on the handling fees." If you want bare postage, fine. Just let me know. I'll wrap your newly-won item in complimentary brown paper and stick a stamp on it. Which, I might add, is exactly what someone did with this DS game I've been waiting on.
  22. I have 2 sealed copies of Trace Memory for Nintendo DS, will trade one each straight across for new or mint + complete copies of the following DS games: Guilty Gear Dust Strikers Meteos Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time Super Princess Peach Nintendogs (any version) Animal Crossing: Wild World Or any DS-related signage or memorabilia.
  23. Pretty fun, nice throwback sound and visuals. Gamma Bros. @ PixelJam
  24. Jackal. Two-player simultaneous military jeeps with turrets assaulting various communist military strongholds. Played it for hours on end with my brother. Galaxy 5000. Good for buddy-punching "combat racing."
