I have "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" playing right now. It's a burned copy from a record.
-
Well, I just completely redrew the Activision and Atari (black label) labels by hand in Illustrator. I made them exact down to the smallest detail. Leaving out only the artwork which I like to fill in later. its a pretty effective method, once I had the label the art was a snap. I also created a German version as well I love those German carts. see below.
Remember I created these in Illustrator, so any pixilation you see is due to web complications or Photoshop shrinkage. These are primo vector graphics.
As for the printing, I'm down with some photo quality paper but spraying with spray adhesive never works for me. I always find that it peels later. But I coundn't think of another method.

Good lord, WC. I hope for everyones sake you win. And I suppose thats not a high price for the game but paying $500 bucks for an Atari game is insane. The guy probably got the thing for free. But, alas, that is the way of things. I hope you do win. As for me, I'll take the emulator way on this one. I can't afford these prices.
-
Speaking of rare. How do we know anyone is telling the truth about these prototype games. I'm a graphic designer who could easily make a very close facsimilie of one of those labels and sell it for millions on ebay. Of course I have respect for Atari and would never do that. But how hard could it be? This guy is proving its easy to take any VHS video box stick a game instruction inside the sleeve and sell it as rare. I would hate to be the moron bidding on this.

Good for you, I hope you win. Stomp a mud hole in his ass!
-
No way, suckas! That sweet red is all mine. I just got my tax returns in the mail and it's all going toward my shoe collection. You best be checkin' yo sefs.
I got my name from spider fighter translated by some weirdo for the german version. "Möge die Macht mit dir sein," jahfish.
-
Check this one out. Holy Moly! This bidder will pay any price watch out. This is the same dude paying nearly $500 for that cubicolor game. I'm not even going to try.

I was expecting something related here. I laughed mein po off fo a good ten minutes. That was amazing. How exactly did you managed to find this? You must have been more bored than me.
-
I pay on average $3.00 a game. That includes the Salvation Army (Outrageous and just went up to this price). At the local GameXchange I pay up to $2.99 and as low $1.99. Which I also feel is outrageous but what else can I do? I have to have my fix. Ebay is my only oher option. It's rough living here in the armpit of america, Arkansas.

stupid site, it's still down. I want my cheap Atari too.

madness i tell you, madness!

Very funny. I just read that string of comments on good ol Mike R. I hope he sees it and writes in to defend himself. As for this entire string of nonsence about the T-REX game for the Atari 2600. My Atari is fixed and it is indeed a copy of Adventure. Some foolish carpenter stuck a dumb sticker on it. So everyone should note. THIS IS NOT REAL, IT IS A COPY OF ADVENTURE. FALSE ALARM FALSE ALARM! SORRY EVERYONE.
-
How exactly does one test a Coleco game on the Atari 2600, Weirdo!? I made that mistake once I bought Looping and realized later it wouldn't fit in the Atari slot. Of course I took it back!
rock!
-
OK, now I honestly think this is a copy of adventure and someone just stuck a stupid sticker on it. What a pile of crap. Sorry to get everyone worked up over this. I though maybe I was onto something here. I will post further detail, but I believe this is a hoax. And since I found the stupid thing that's what I'm going by.

More information: the number on the front is cx-2613 maybe that will help. I can't figure this one out. Although it is the exact same dimensions as a 2600 cart. Weird huh?
-
So what other systems besides Cleco have the same size carts as Atari? Unfortunatly my Atari isn't functioning right now. I'm working on it. I will scan the cart as soon as I can.
Thanks for checking everyone.
-
Not yet but I should soon. Check this out though. It has a blue square on the front of the cart, right in the middle, with a picture of the beast (T-Rex) facing left and it simply says Tyrannosaurus in the top right. HUH? Someone needs to do some explaining. I haven't played it yet, my system is on the fritz. Where the heck do these wonderful toys come from?

Well, I for one am completely disgusted with today's game systems. Lack of originality (not always, but mostly) and serious lack of simplicity. I played a couple of racing games on the playstation, one in particular took me twenty minutes just to set up my profile. Car type, driver type, race type, tire size, engine type, engine power etc. and it went on and on. I finally lost interest in the game and watched my friend play it who had managed to save the whole mess on a card. Unfortunatly though I never knew anyone with anything besides the Atari 2600 in the eighties. No 5200's, 7800's coleco, intellivision etc. I didn't even know they existed until I had the Nintendo came out, and of course being a kid I wanted it bad. Especially to have that power glove, I swore to myself I would never take it off. Then I tried it once and never used it again. Anyway point is Atari rocks!

Tyrannosaurus for the 2600? What the hell is this game. I found a copy of it the other day and can't seem to find any records of this game even mentioned. Can someone help out here?
Thanks

Wow! What an amazing contest. I really liked the entries, although I had my own favorites. This was really an unsual contest and I had a great time lisening to them all.
Hey, and if anyone hasn't seen the movie Ghost World it rocks!
-
Hey, thanks for the reponces. I did indeed try the little help window but I didn't understand it at all. So let me get this straight I need to download the .bin file, create my beat with the internet interface/unless I can drop it on a cuttle cart somehow (I don't understand that at all) then I save the data to my computer and play it through the beat generator.bin file? I haven't downloaded the .bin file because my computer is way slow. I will do that now. thanks everyone!
-
Will someone please explain how this thing works!? I attempted to use the interface on the internet and absolutly do not understand what is going on. I need some sort of walk through. I really don't understand it. Can someone help? Why can't I hear the sounds?
The concept is amazing though and I would love to join in.

You can feel free to use my artwork in the CD Documentation, but how do I get a copy of it? I would like to have a copy of at least the documentation for fun. Can I pay you for a copy of it, I heard you sold out of the game itself but perhaps a copy of the documentation? Let me know. And thanks for a great contest Andrew.

Atariage Chat Room

I'm completely anti chat rooms. I like to be able to go back and read what is going on, what everyone is talking about and be able to catch up without asking stupid questions. I would not use a chat room and would probably stop attending. I enjoy the message lists here at Atariage. I can go back at any given time and step into a conversation without being too lost. I SAY NO TO CHAT ROOMS, EVIL, VILE, THINGS. ONLY BAD WILL COME OF IT I TELL YOU, BAD.
