Whoa! don't print that. I can send you, or save to the internet, a much better copy than a 75dpi gif image. This label hasn't been properly sized yet either. It's only for demonstration.
-
okay, here is the first reproduction label. take a look compare it and tell me if I need to adjust something. I was originally going to start with kaboom! but I don't have the actual game with me. So I started with Skiing. A fairly easy one if you ask me. Comments suggestions? enjoy [/img]

If your willing to produce these labels, I will be happy to send you 400dpi samples. Send me an private message if your interested. I will post my first label to let you examine it.
-
Well, there you go. I guess my services are no longer needed here. But I think I might try the kaboom label anyway, just to see if I can do it. I would be happy to send out some samples and post my progress in this forum. I think I can have the label done in a few hours. I will return with a picture. Anyone still interested? This is of course non profit, in case someone from Activision or Atari chimes in.

I could probably reproduce these labels. I do label design, entered the Atariage contests and such and have a small library of labels, including some Activision ones (German and American) I might be able to exactly reproduce a lable very convicingly using vector artwork (I already have the Activision logo ready in Illustrator). Of course the hard part would be finding some suitable paper. I have easy access to highly reputable Epson and Xitron printers. If someone could find a paper worth using I would be glad to try it. I could mail some out to a few people to sample them, If all is good I could easily start printing a bunch of these. I originally started to do reproductions with my site ataricart, but realized I probably couldn't do all video game (odyssey, Vectrex) labels to very high quality, what with some of the labels being painted artwork, they would definitely look faked. But Activision stuff, I think I could reproduce easily down to the pixel and exact placement of each item on it. Whatever cart I didn't have If you had a scan of it I would use that to make you a new one. This is starting to sound fun. I'm going to look for some paper in a couple of days, see if I can't find high gloss thick sticky paper. Anyone interested in searching for paper or testing some out some samples. I woudn't be able to look for paper until next week but a little searching by everyone here could speed it up, just tell me what king and brand).

hell yes, I remember those crazy rubber skeletons, I got one a long time ago, back in 85 I think. Crazy, I wish I still had mine.

I just sent in two label designs. Hope everyone likes them.

That's a pretty sweet label there. Not to sound threating or anything here, just curious, Is that a picture of you or your friends or something? It looks really good, keep it up. I can't wait to see more.

I hope no one thinks I am a "troll" here, I kind of felt that way in the last post on Barnstorming, but I want to thank RC for sticking up for us when we were being attacked, in fact I want to thank the whole mess of TG refs that got on this board and helped to clear this whole mess up. I had been following the entire thread and decided my two cents were being well spoken for by others. And to sum everything up here and in the other thread, I have a total respect for the guys at TG. As for people attacking the hobbyists in us all I feel the same way, they need to move on and stop throwing in useless comments about how were stupid for arguing this point. I personally believe it is the people (gamers) who read through these scores to make sure everything is legit or at least assist in that manner, after all we are the ones reading it, I also believe no one is perfect about this kind of info, especially since there is so much of it. Well, I'm rambling and tired and I am having a hard time coming to my point, but this message is not by any means meant to be a "troll" message. Thanks

that is amazing stuff, great art. is there anyway you can explain how you draw like that. I've noticed a lot of pixel art on the net lately but my method of drawing pixelart is crazy time consuming. Do you have a faster method that doesn't involve actually drawing each pixel one at a time? It drives me nuts thanks

Yeah watch out for the game your playing, I have a set of extremely clean paddles, but with Kaboom! it always seems to jitter in one particular spot no matter what. Even on the emulation, like th epost above says.

WOW! no entries even yet. Is anyone else in the works out there?

It really does depend on the region.

Barnstorming - Game #1 - 32.04 - What the...?!?!!
Doc4 replied to Jeffy Arensmeyer's topic in Atari 2600
Holy Shmoly Batman. First off we need to make sure we are not bashing Todd here. He hasn't even stopped in for a visit. Second of all this quote was extremely uncalled for and rude to Stan. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet. Back to my other topic, why couldn't this score be a typo? -
has anyone finished a label yet. This topic seems a little dead right now. I just started working on a couple myself. Anyone.... anyone, bueller.

Barnstorming - Game #1 - 32.04 - What the...?!?!!
Doc4 replied to Jeffy Arensmeyer's topic in Atari 2600
"Insert foot in mouth on this one" I'm going to have to agree with this last statement. Strategies on an Atari 2600 Barnstorming sacred? Lets get real, Barnstorming didn't exactly take off and get remade a hundred times ending up with a three-d version for the x-box with millions of world record setting goals. I highly doubt this should be of any consequence to Todd or Twin Galaxies. I fully agree with people holding onto their personal scores and strategies for games to keep a high score, but when nearly everyone who has posted on this forum has come within seconds of Todd's score with hundreds of tries and even modifying the game to achieve the impossible something sounds pretty fishy. What, on the off chance, this is just a typo and no one has bothered to fix it or even noticed it? Just an opinion. I'm not trying to start a fight with anyone, especially not with Twin Galaxies, I'm glad their here making the effort and contributions they do. Not to sound like an ass either, by the way. -
Added my vote, that makes 101 for the 2600 and moving way ahead of that crappy snes.

Only looking for german versions with german titles. Thanks for the link though.
-
That's the problem, germans sell them cheap, so I assume there are tons of them there. But hardy any of them sell worldwide. I will be glad to pay the extra shipping. Anyone, Anyone
-
I have only about four German games. I want as many as I can get and don't want to pay a million dollars for what seem to be extremely common games in Germany. Anyone out there want to sell some of there carts. Send me a message.[/b]

Max Payne! I have a friend I went high school with who helped do work on that game, I don't have it but her name is Jenny Jemison, I think the spelling is correct. A buddy of mine showed me her name in the manual. I knew she was working in texas for the company but it still seems weird.

Well, if he had sold it for any amount over 20 bucks maybe he could fixed that spot on his floor. He obviously tried to find the nicest location in his house.
