I think you guys are going to be surprised at the Wii's popularity. I go to a variety of different message boards. And thus far, people either want a Wii, or a Wii AND another console. It's pretty crazy.

I'll get a 360 when... 1. Price drops again. 2. They have some titles I'll like besides sports and racing.

This is how I see it. The Wii wont have XBox 360 and PS3 graphics, but it'll have good enough graphics. Kind of like the Gamecube compared to the X-Box. It wasn't as powerful, but it was enough. The Wii-mote will work. For some games it probably wont be comfortable, for many it may be. People expect WAY to much out of the consoles. They act like the PS3 is going to up and transform into Optimus Prime. They're gaming consoles. Like CPUWIZ said, there will be some things we like, some things we wont like. That's how it's ALWAYS been since the Atari days.

It's a kick in the balls because they've been lead to believe that everything was going just fine. Hell, they even had commercials for the PS3 before today. Then BAM. Delay for 5 months. Kind of a kick in the face, IMO.

How about the Wii?

This morning, I woke up and suddenly heard thousands apon thousands of people scream in anger. Confused, I woke up and jumped on my PC, only to find this. Ouch...

The Wii looks fine. It's graphics are probably going to be fine. Why are we trying to kill each other, here? Lol

How come I can always find great looking games that are fun? And honestly, what exactly is a shitty looking game? I can't think of 1 for a long, long time. I think the whole problem here is making do with what you are offered. I have seen so many stupid posts about the 360/PS3 only being about graphics but the wii will be so fun. Everyone who buys a wii knows they are settling in many departments, yet they want to defend that whole decision for some reason or another. So let's just go for all of the things the wii won't be capable of and make them sound bad. What kind of logic is that? I have read so many times that the wii will have graphics as good as the PS3/360. Does everyone really think if they talk nothing but bullshit, it will magically, with the help of the wiimote, come true? My 97 TA runs high 12's stock. If I keep telling you it runs low 11's, all ya need to do is come to the track to see the truth. Same situation. But, games aren't about graphics right? Unless you aren't buying a 360/PS3 and are choosing the other one, then graphics become very important - to bash. Nintendo have done nothing new in this situation. All they ever do is reskin the old and sell it as new. The GB line was almost completely unchanged for years, but would be introduced with color, a built in headphone jack, etc. All reskins. Like the GC to wii. This isn't wrong at all, I mean Apple does it and it works. But don't pat them on the back for it. Yup many graphically superior systems were seeing the taillights of the inferior systems. Why? Games. Plain and simple, games. The GC did poorly because of it's limited library. Argue with me all you want, but common sense says if system Y has 2000 games and system Z has 400, system Y has a broader gameset, a much greater chance of having more appealing games to anyone, and much better chance of having many games that you can't get anywhere else. I won't comment on price. That is too personal of an opinion and has many influencing factors. Same with fun. But, you already noted that and I agree. The controller. I may be wrong, but ya wanna know what I think? Probably not, but I'll tell ya anyways I think Nintendo has been fooled a little. The success of the DS has them thinking that the touchscreen has made all the difference. I look at the games and I think "well no shit, no wonder this thing flys off shelves" I don't have one, have no interest in ever getting one, and the touchscreen means nothing to me, but who can ever deny what a killer game library that things got?! The wii will work great if the same formula is achieved, but if it's just this controller thingy, forget it. The controller, so far, can't really do anything my thumbs can't. The games so far aren't anything I can't play better elsewhere. Too early to tell, but I know I wanna play Spiderman on the PS3/360 instead of the wii. Games on rails suck. But this has all been done so many times over the years. This isn't new. At least my baseball bat controller for the SNES(?) was shaped like a bat. I also don't buy the "immersive" gameplay because of the wand. This could be because I have played Steel Battalions. That's immersive. Holding a little rectangle box isn't immersive, unless you are changing channels. I am glad neither of us has changed eithers mind at all and that all we really did was waste some webspace But I do appeciate you responding with your own thoughts and not just retelling what ya read on the net. Um, the Wii is more powerfull than the GC. Not just by a small margin, either. It's not a Gamecube with a new skin.

That pic of Gears of War, was that a live pic or was that one of the pre-rendered E3 pics? Either way, one thing we're forgetting here is that the Wii's current library of games were created on a lower end dev kit. I think they just got the real deal a few weeks ago. The Wii isn't being pushed. But I bet if you push it, you'd be surprised. Take a look at Twilight Princess. That game looks beautiful with just it's Gamecube graphics. If they had decided to update it, just think. Either way, take a look at MMOs. World of Warcraft is the most unrealistic game ever and it's owning every other MMO around. : |

Indeed, I'm tired of playing the NSMB, I want something new! I want an RPG!... I WANT CONTACT! And Final Fantasy III... Don't know why I want FFIII, though.

I don't think it's rare yet but it could be. And yes it sucked hard, they botched the main idea terribly. Personally, I don't think any DS games will be really rare. And since Lost Magic is one of the few RPG games around for the DS, many have probably already purchased it.

Just to make things fair here. That footage from E3 was BS anyway. Here's a comparison. This is what we were showed. This is what you're going to get. Again... What we were showed. What you're probably going to end up with. While the PS3's graphics are nice. I can tell you as a person who owns a high end PC, they get old kinda quick. I mean sure, nice graphics are cool, but they don't make a game good... Well... Unless you like walking around looking at stuff. : /

Yup, the DS IMO is the best thing since the SNES and NES. It's just TEH BEST EVAR!

You can still find Lost Magic. They have a bunch of em at my local Wal-Mart. Did it suck?

It's pretty new, and will probably be difficult to get. May drop in a few days, dunno. : / I'd like to get a copy later on, though.

I have it with box. Got it for $20 at goodwill. Don't think it'll be on the DL service, at least not for a while. Well... Maybe, I dunno. You might be able to get Earthbound cheaper on ebay, though.

Big Brain Academy 4. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrows 5. Trauma Center 6. Sudoku 7. Electroplankton 8. LostMagic 9. Meteos 10. Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis 11. Tetris I want some more than others. But damn, a system hasn't been this good IMO since the NES/ SNES days. Hopefully they continue their strategy with the Wii!

Pretty much. Nintendo has been the best as far as console survivability goes. I personally will wait for a PS3 re-design. It'll happen eventually. From what I hear Blu-Ray is a lot more delicate than DVDs were, so I'd be weary. Yea this is one of those sytems you can see a redesign a mile away. Besides the fact that its Sony and you know it will come, the thing is huge.. any console that makes a 360 look small is too big. I wonder if it will be as small as the redesign of the ps2 was, or if it will only get to the original ps2 size with the redesign. Everyone said the Xbox was huge. I've never understood why size is an issue.... I mean as it pertains to video game consoles. Because some of us don't have lots of room.

Anyone besides me looking forward to this game? It's said to be a spiritual successor to Earthbound. It looks great thus far! Any solid release date?
