  1. This is what I was saying all along. Not overly complicated, but well done. Ya know? I might pick this one up. It's supposed to have online, where you can adventure around with friends and such. Should be decent at least.
  2. It would be a better world! HDTVs that you can drop out of a three story window without breaking!
  3. That, and I'd like to see Nintendo do to Donkey Kong what Namco did to Pac-Man (Champ Edition). A modern Donkey Kong would rock my socks. Especially since that movie is coming out soon (King of Kong).
  4. http://wii.ign.com/articles/798/798118p1.html Watched the video, the graphics aren't that good. But the gameplay looks pretty fun, actually. If they get the controls right, it might be worth picking up.
  5. I think price has a lot more to do with it then people think. Wii likely won't be written off as a gimmick by the core and non-gamer (new gamer) community. You have to remember that the hardcore are a lot more jaded than most, so they'll practically hate anything new. As for the Wii, it's still a hot item. And we're approaching the holidays again, which I suspect will cause the boom to start all over again. There are projects in the works, it's just that we haven't seem them yet. Hell, even Kojima (father of the MGS series) is working on a Wii game. It'll take time, but the games will come.
  6. I was writing a reply for this, but I was rudely interrupted by a power outage. So now, I guess I'll try again. I think the Wii was a good move for the entire industry. The race for power was getting to out of hand, so hopefully the Wii will get the other two to calm down a little. I'm not saying they should stop advancing their technology, but that they should advance it as far as they can without getting to expensive. $300 is about the highest you should go on a video game console. As for the Wii's graphics. They'll get better as time goes on, just like they did with the DS. I suspect the gap between the Wii and the other two won't get much bigger than it already is. Also, I think companies should go for a more stylized look on Wii games. ... Well, then again, I think they ALL should go for stylized. Even these new systems can't do realistic humans without them looking like plastic. Anyway, due to technology's rapid change, I expect the next Nintendo console will have an entirely new architecture, and they'll use a small chip to play GC and Wii games. Now, on a completely different subject... Anyone picking up RE4 Wii?
  7. I completely agree with you there, but at the rate they're going, most of us will never live to see where they're taking the franchise. Any word on them even being *started* on the next installment? I mean, it obviously won't end up on the Wii, but some occasional news beyond all their weird cryptic claims would be comforting. Actually, yes. They said they've had it in development for a bit now, and we were told to expect sooner than we think. Probably 2009 or so.
  8. I think it's kind of split now. At least for me. I see both Mario and Link as their flagship characters. Link as a more mature one, and Mario as an "everyone" character. I expect Zelda games will get darker as time goes on.
  9. Ubisoft actually DID apologize for the shitty quality they put out as of late. Surprised the hell out of me. But yeah, I think they're starting to see what's happening here. I expect next year is when the Wii will really kick off.
  10. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=161889 Very interesting. I hope it's real.
  11. Yeah, but Bioshock is another FPS to me. The Wii will get some games, no worries. It already has a few interesting titles in the works.
  12. One like the N64 version with more awesome and Wi-Fi dogfights.
  13. Nope, not regretting it. The only thing I would possibly regret was getting it so early, because the wait for better games is agonizing.
  14. Supposedly Nintendo has increased productio and shipped more than usual. They should be up to 1.5 million a month, according to Nintendo. So yeah, you should be seeing them in stores.
  15. What exactly is the online content? If you can group up and play together you might be right...If the online play is turn based fighting with monsters a-la Enchanted Arms or the soon to be released Pokemon Battle Revolution,, then your wrong, it'll be repetitve. If you can team up that;s awesome but I'd be very suprised if you will be able to team up and tackle this game. From what I heard Battle Revolution online play was plague with terrible lag and that's just one on one turn based fighting. So what's the deal, is this a sequel to the Cube game? Yes, and no. It seems to be a whole different game. Doesn't rely on multiplayer and seems to be more of a single player game. The DS game seems to be more like the GC one, though.
  16. http://www.ffccnews.jp/2007/05/85.html Now THAT looks pretty epic. Definately a big change from normal Final Fantasy games.
  17. Rygar was announced for Wii, if anyone is interested in that. It's sort of like a God of War style game.
  18. http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/Dewy/index.html New trailer!
  19. Actually, I'd wait and see what happens to KH3. Considering the way things are going in Japan, KH3 could very well end up on the Wii.
  20. I don't really think it's that. From what I understand, since Nintendo's fiscal year had ended, they upped their shipments by quite a bit. But we won't know for sure until next month.
  21. I think EA is making MySims to break into Japan, not to appeal to Wii fans. They seem to have been having a hard time in the land of the rising sun, but they're making an effort, now.
  22. I think depth of field blur is going to be a big thing going into the next generation. So will blur in general.
  23. Why not get the PC version of Oblivion? Anywho, I want a 360 myself. But $400 is just soo steep for me. I wish they'd hurry up with the price drop.
  24. As far as I know, it's all in game footage. No CGI there.
  25. Oh my God, I hate you. I've been looking for it forever. And I found a pawn shop that had it, but the guy wanted $50. FF7 Ultimate Guide, unauthorized version by Versus-$10 @ Babbage's in Horton Plaza. That was ten years ago. I have both the Versus and Brady guides, and I have the non GH set CIB (yes, it has the weird three disc case). I used to have the t shirt, too. The guide is easy as hell to find. In fact, you can still buy them on Wal-Mart's website, I think. The game, though, is a pain to find.
