  1. http://wii.ign.com/articles/782/782054p1.html A third party actually making a good looking Wii game? MADNESS!
  2. It's nice to see it displaying some physics, too. Though, they could sprooce it up in some areas, but for being 25% done, I can't complain.
  3. The virtual boy was Nintendo's biggest failure. This is followed by lackluster support for the Gamecube, being dicks to third parties (especially Squaresoft), and some others. BUT, I do think Nintendo is turning around under the leadership of Satru Iwata. While he may be a great buisness man, he was also a developer for HAL labs, and (I believe) created Kirby, and worked on Earthbound. I don't think the Wii's technology will hamper it much. If there is money to be made, developers will do whatever they possibly can to port their games over. This, and the fact that the Wii's support grows everyday. The Wii has the momentum right now. In fact, it's momentum is a lot bigger than most system's I've ever seen. And if it keeps going like it is, it'll likely surpass the 360 before the year ends.
  4. I suggest you play and beat it first. I pretty much want it because I've heard so much about it, I just want to see if it's really as good as people say it is. I reckon I'll run across it sooner or later, though.
  5. Oh my God, I hate you. I've been looking for it forever. And I found a pawn shop that had it, but the guy wanted $50.
  6. LOL - Everyone that says how innovative the Wii is just got OWNED! To be inovative you have to be ahead of the times: Defination: innovative adjective 1. ahead of the times; "the advanced teaching methods"; "had advanced views on the subject"; "a forward-looking corporation"; "is British industry innovative enough?" [syn: advanced] 2. being or producing something like nothing done or experienced or created before; "stylistically innovative works"; "innovative members of the artistic community"; "a mind so innovational, so original" Difference between that, and the Wii, is that the Wii only needs one controller to do all of that. That system needs many different kinds. And the Wii isn't going anywhere. It's selling for the same reason the PS2 sold, it's affordable. You think the PS2 was drowning in great games early on? If you do, you've lost your mind.
  7. According to Neogaf, you must buy this game now. It's awesome.
  8. You're really behind the times. 1. The Godfather just came out on the Wii. 2. Manhunt 2 is coming out on the Wii. 3. No More Heroes, a game where you can slice people in half, is coming to the Wii. Kiddie, the Wii is not. And just to clarify, the Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2. Logically, the Wii is a lot more powerful than the PS2. Don't let the "it's t3h weak" bull get to you.
  9. Last I checked, they're losing nearly $200 per system sold. Lets just say $150 incase costs have gone down. $150 x 1,600,000 = $240,000,000 lost. Unless I messed up my math, which is very possible. I'm a dope at Math. Wii on the other hand, makes money per system sold. So they're not enduring losses.
  10. I think a Sudoku game on the Wii would sell, but not at $50. Maybe at $30 or so. Oh, and I'd like to see a "Wii Releases" channel that has the releases for that month with dates, etc. That way the "non-gamer" can see if anything is coming up that they may fancy.
  11. Supposedly, Nintendo is working on a few Wii Sports like titles. Hell, Wii Play is coming out very soon, actually. Wii Music and Wii Fitness is supposedly in the works, also. DS is a monster. You wouldn't believe the power Nintendo has over Japan right now. Let me find some sales charts... PS2 - 7 PSP - 3 PS3 - 1 NDS - 33 WII - 6 Usually Nintendo has the #1 spot, but VF5 came out, so this is it's first week. Charts, etc, all from Neogaf. As you can see, Nintendo's grasp on Japan is only getting stronger.
  12. It sounds goofy but that was one of the reasons for me holding off on buying an HDTV for so long -- I have a bunch of SD consoles and a few hundred VHS tapes. Now that I have one, it isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but you still do see the flaws. I'm guessing the cables do make a difference. Right now, I have only a composite for my GameCube while I have a VGA cable for my Dreamcast. The Cube looks really muddy while the DC look surprisingly good. Strangely, it looks fine on my HD-TV even on composite. I play it on my normal TV since it's in my room. 13" but does the trick! Lol
  13. I wish, but then again it's probably a bad idea to man two Wii-motes drunk. D:
  14. It's only been out for around 2 months. I wouldn't pass it off as a "side" system just yet. There are quite a few first party titles coming up, along with some interesting third party titles (DragonQuest: Swords, No More Heroes) coming down the pipe.
  15. SD games don't really look good on HD televisions. I just wanted to note that the Wii uses higher quality RAM than the X-Box. It might not be much, but it's still enough to push some nice visuals. Also, remember, the Wii doesn't need the 360's hardware, as it's not pushing high resolutions. The games will end up looking better and better as time goes by. I think the Gamecube didn't even get a chance to reach it's full potential due to support being dropped for it. But it may end up surprising you in a few months.
  16. If you've only played Zelda for around 2 hours, don't review it yet. The game hasn't started. Trust me, at first it was like, "slooow." But now, I swear it's my favorite Zelda, now.
  17. I think the graphics of the 360 and PS3 are nice, they're just not enough to make me say, "OMG MY OLD CONSOLE LOOKS UNPLAYABLE NOW!" It's more like a jump from the NES to the SNES... Maybe not even that much.
  18. I think they're all on Blu-Ray discs. I'm not sure, though. That's what I assumed, anyway.
  19. Rumors might not be true. But it's true that the PS3 isn't doing to well. The last time it had a year to pick itself up, this time the competition is right on top of them.
  20. Huh? Is there a problem with the DS Lite hinges? They are basicly junk. They break easy Jim Actually, Nintendo has stated that they fixed that. There was something wrong with the machine that made them, or something.
  21. So, Wii is up to 4 million units sold, so I hear. That's pretty damned impressive. D:
  22. Gah, get some games like Elebits, Trauma Center, and other stuff. Support the third parties! I can't wait for Metroid Prime Corruption. Finally, a FPS meant for the Wii that isn't a half baked port (or half baked, I'm looking at you Ubi).
  23. Someone needs to buy them that would put them to good use in the gaming industry. Seriously.
