a boy and his blob, nes, white cart?
Atari Master replied to rixdafix's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Is a boy and his blob rare or something? -
The only thing I'd want from the PS1 are a few RPGs. Other than that, they can kiss my ass. : /

Your mom is a nice come back, ha take that! Riiight... Anyway, I hear Blue Dragon is 3 DVDs. It must be pretty freaking huge. It may sell me a 360 sooner than later. I just wish the price would hurry and drop! : /

Ugh- this complaint - and I've heard it before. The inability of a player to judge how to use the controller is not a failing of said controller. It's not a complaint, its a fact. The controllers and their accuracy and/or the games interpretations are not always on target. Sometimes it will miss portions or whole swings entirely. I've said this before in other threads, so I'll say it here I suppose. Make sure the controller isn't in direct sunlight. If it isn't, make sure nothing is reflecting light near by. Sometimes the Wii-mote mistakes things like that for another controller. I think there's actually a way to test it or something. Also, try with the light off. It may help some!... Though it may be dangerous. Lol

Who knows. I can tell you that that both the graphics and the controls suck in Red Steel. As a concept it's interesting - as an engaging, fun FPS game it's mostly a failure. Keep playing. I've heard from a lot of people that it gets waaay better control wise later on. You may have to adjust some things, though. And Saturn, it's not got damned light gun. A light gun could NOT detect movements in 3D space. Jeeze.

Video games systems =/= cars... There are only three, and each have their pirks. I could see someone not liking a particular system's pirks, though.

And you would want this because? Anyway that's pretty much a carbon copy of my own dealings with nintendo. I got a 360 and have no regrets at all. So far it's been fantastic, and now I have about 7 games for it. But be warned some of the early 360 titles have dismal load times, such as quake 4. Seriously they last like 2 minutes, but newer games liked gears or COD3 last 5 seconds. Because some of us don't want to sit in a corner, ignoring our families?... And some of us are comfortable enough to not need to go "look at what I got, look at me!" Wow, nice come back! Not. Anyway, any new info on Fable 2?

The controls on Boxing are very hit and miss. The body guard actions work well, but the actual punch swings and locations (face, body jab, etc.) are really kind of random which sucks. And I want Super Punch Out, not Wii Boxing! I've heard that the controlls are quite good. Do you have a lot of glass/ glare in the area where your Wii is?

PLAY MAGAZINE- Untrustworthy Reviews
Atari Master replied to fishsandwich's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Someone needs to make a site that has ONLY user reviews. Make it simple like google, so it loads quickly. Allow a person to sign up, and add reviews. He'll have his own profile, etc. From there, people can do a search and find an average rating, along with a list of reviews. I always find that people who aren't the gaming media can give you a better idea if a game is good or not. -
I hear it's a lot alike, though it's getting some negative reviews. User reviews say it's good, though.

I heard Nintendo World has sold out a couple times. Which is insane considering how many units they get.

I agree on the HD-DVD/Blu Ray thing. I saw a comparison at Wal-Mart on the PS3 kiosk, and while it was a good quality image, it wasn't good enough to warrent a PS3. Same with the 360. I hear now that MS is making money on every system sold, they may drop the price soon. Here's to hoping! Again, though! Don't give up on the Wii just yet! It's going to be an interesting little machine.

OK, I No Longer Like The Controllers
Atari Master replied to eric_ruck's topic in Sony Playstation 3
They're about the same size. The Sixaxis is a lighter version with no rumble, and the back buttons are tilted. -
DS Lite Screen Protector question
Atari Master replied to King_Salamon's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I have the ones Gamestop sells. They're hard to get off, but it's definately removeable. -
I'm getting a Wii first, but I'll probably get a 360 down the line. I wouldn't phase out the Wii just yet. Wii Sports is a very fun game from what I've gathered, and is the perfect game to grab your family's attention. I can understand being upset about the HD thing, but that would have increased the price even further. I guess Nintendo figured HD isn't worth it yet, since very few people own HD TVs. NOTE: According to Miyamoto, the Wii was originally going to cost around $100. But because of newer technology like Wi-Fi, etc, the price went up quite a bit. I wouldn't get to angry with Nintendo. They've done a lot right so far. I really do hope they succeed. As for the 360. I think it's an excellent system. The only thing I worry about is if MS takes over the market. I'm not sure I want MS taking it over.

Hmm, well, I suppose someone will find out if the Wii can take the heat that is dished at it. If it can, there wouldn't be a huge deal.
-
Try taking it out of the stand and set it down on it's own. The heat may be accumilating because it has no place to go.

Wii update could kill your system!
Atari Master replied to Cheese007's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
You can get one now if you'd like. Nintendo is very good about standing by their products. If your system has a problem, call them up, and they'll (sometimes overnight, I hear) send you a new system. -
I'm still going to buy the games. Rather be legal. And for some reason when this page was loading, I was like, "I bet CPUWIZ will have the smiley somewhere in this post."

Wii update could kill your system!

Hopefully the next shipment won't have this problem. Anyway, doesn't the USB connector work incase you don't have WiFi? Wouldn't that be more reliable? -
To Wii Owners: Is It Really Just A Gimmick?
Atari Master replied to Mendon's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
And here's Sega Saturn, to muck up the thread. -
Hey guys, being that I'm a paranoid fellow, I have a few questions regarding saves and the firmware updates. 1. I hear the firmware updates could turn my Wii into a brick. What are the chances of this happening? And what are some precautions I can take in avoiding this? 2. Do you need the firmware update to save to your SD card? 3. Where can someone without broadband or wireless of any kind get the firmware updates? I only have dial-up, unfortunately.
