  1. I had an excuse to email Ricky Henry so I prodded him about the carts. He said this:

It seems at least two people want this game on cart. Are you two okay with his intention to put MMSBC II in his store or should I find an alternative solution? Of course, one that wouldn't fsck with Ricky Henry but get peeps some game. :)

As a side are these games a do-want because they are side-scrolling shooters?

I can wait for it get put in the store, I just didn't hear back from Bitpop so I wasn't sure if it was possible to obtain one. :)

I like side scrolling shooters, but also it's 2 player co-op which I like.

  2. Hmmm...well its been over a month and my order has not made it to me yet. Also, no reply on the availability of MMSBC II. I'll try following up with him again.

I had ordered the Silver version and just got it a few days ago with a note explaining they are sold out of the comics and they'd send me one when more are made. I also sent an email a few weeks after ordering asking about confirmation since I didn't get a confirmation of delivery and inquiring about MMSBC II but I haven't received a reply either. :(

  3. Hey, they are listening to their consumers....i give them a lot of credit for that.

I see it more like giving in to peer/media pressure.

Obviously Microsoft wants to move to digital distribution, they would have done a lot better had the Xbox One just went full digital and no physical right from the beginning, it would have been far less confusing.

Next is people complaining that they have to buy the Kinect with the system even though it isn't mandatory anymore.

  4. I'm sure someone here would be interested in these. value of items like these can vary depending on who is looking at the time.

I'm interested in know a bit more about this Eurocon cart though :)

    also, are these all PAL?

  5. I have a set of Tomahawk Joysticks, they are indestructible and pretty much the only controllers I ever hook up. I have boxes of controllers and while there's a few that are pretty good, the Tomahawks are definitely my favorite. unfortunately, I can't even find a place to buy another set.

  6. You've done a great job on the site. I been getting more into the Homebrew scene and see your site as a valuable resource!

Thanks! that's part of the reason I wanted to do the site, so people case see what's out there and also hopefully a place to check out some before buying. I'm glad you are using it!

  7. I fixed a whole slew of games missing a description, added a few screenshots and started adding links to ones still available to purchase. Still a lot to go through but each day gets a little more done! The homebrew section is looking a lot more finished :)

I'm also considering a WIP section for games that are intended to be a cartridge release. Not sure how I'll set that up but I'll try a few ideas.

  8. Labels - Damp cloth first, if that didn't work, a damp Q-tip. works better for things like permanent marker or small lines. depending on the label, I might use a little alcohol or mild soap in the water. sometimes I've used goo gone, had good and bad results with it so be careful.

Shells - Goo Gone for stickers, then a damp cloth to clean other dirt and grime. really tough permanent marker stains I use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser but be warned that rubbing too much with it can smooth out a surface, which is bad for say a NES or 2600/7800 game as the plastic is bumpy. Mostly I use it ONLY as a last resort.

Contacts - Alcohol and a Q-tip. dip one side of the q-tip in alcohol and rub both sides of the contacts (contacts facing down so extra drip fall instead of going in the cartridge) flip the q-tip and gently dab the contacts to dry. wait a few minutes before testing cartridge.
