Labels - Damp cloth first, if that didn't work, a damp Q-tip. works better for things like permanent marker or small lines. depending on the label, I might use a little alcohol or mild soap in the water. sometimes I've used goo gone, had good and bad results with it so be careful. Shells - Goo Gone for stickers, then a damp cloth to clean other dirt and grime. really tough permanent marker stains I use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser but be warned that rubbing too much with it can smooth out a surface, which is bad for say a NES or 2600/7800 game as the plastic is bumpy. Mostly I use it ONLY as a last resort. Contacts - Alcohol and a Q-tip. dip one side of the q-tip in alcohol and rub both sides of the contacts (contacts facing down so extra drip fall instead of going in the cartridge) flip the q-tip and gently dab the contacts to dry. wait a few minutes before testing cartridge.

You buy games without knowing what kind of game it is? how many times have you been ripped off and bought a bad game? $50 + Shipping isn't $100, even shipping to Canada and Europe isn't $50 per game. wahhhh!, destroy your copy, I dare you!....it'll be your loss and won't deter this from happening again at all. good job!

I realize what the background is but at first it looked like a giant boob.

Sweet find on my way to work this morning
Necron99 replied to Dripfree's topic in Classic Console Discussion
nice find! it works good I presume? -
I would say Chibi Robo and maybe Cubivore might be hidden gems? both games are quite fun once given a try and often overlooked as too cute or for toddlers....maybe not the most exciting games but still fun in a exploratory way.
-
A lot of great games listed! you might want to try a Hori Mini Pad if the standard N64 controllers aren't your thing. it's a lot like a gamecube controller.
-
I did a bunch of submissions at rfgeneration. a lot of the homebrews that are there were added by me or I added additional info. They don't want submissions of hacks or reproductions even though there is a few in the homebrew section, so eventually I stopped....plus I submitted everything they needed from my collection.

Anything else? keep it coming guys! I'm going through all my manuals and adding descriptions /story and adding a few screenshots along the way too. I still got a LOT of work to do yet but things are starting to look better! Thanks for everyone's input so far!

I'm not going to send you a link, but google "Hozer + Video" and you'll see his page. basically, Randy (Hozer) has made 2600 cart for a long time, the quality is generally not that great, especially compared to AtariAge quality. he was banned from AtariAge because he was making copies of homebrew games without authorization from the programmers. my understanding is that his attitude when confronted about it was "too bad, I can do what I want". There is probably more but I don't care to dig up the past more.
-
Not sure if it's an old cart or not, but hozer still makes them. you could probably ask him for one exactly like the auction for half that price.
-
Fixed that....I knew it wasn't the same too....for some reason I thought I fixed that before. Fixed and added descriptions!
-
it's the label one for M.M.S.B.C. and Dead of Knight, i can see them but they don't load if I click to expand. I tried using firefox and chrome, my PC and laptop. I opened in a new page and it said I don't have permission to view the attachment.
-
for some reason, I can't view the images they don't load?
-
Was there a Laserman 2K3 VGS Edition released as well?
-
Fixed! I haven't had time to write up descriptions for every game yet, so there's a few of those on the site Fixed and thanks for the screenshots! Yay!
-
I'll take any photo of a game I don't have listed. I'm not too keen on adding one-off's but definitely small limited quantities. How many CandyBar carts were made? Physical cart releases is what I'm looking for. Thanks for the Dead of Knight images!
-
Thanks! Thanks again! This one I knew about it's on the watch list. I'll add those titles soon! any better photo's or scans of the carts?

Atari2600Homebrew. is now live! I made this site to document the countless after-market games for the Atari 2600 produced in Cartridge form. I've pretty much exhausted my own records of information on these games, but I'm sure there is more games out there and I'm sure some of you have information that just isn't documented anywhere. I'm open to suggestions on the site and taking submissions and information on titles which have missing info/scans.

Muncher (2600 Homebrew) Limited Edition sold out
Necron99 replied to Wickeycolumbus's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Here is a manual for you guys to print out. It's a simple double sided setup. Cover & Back get printed together, page 1 and 2 also get printed together on the other side. Cover Page 1 Page 2 Back -
I have to agree. I have several games with boxes but the boxes just end up in another box in storage rather than on display in my collection. I prefer just a cart & manual combo to save space and money. generally, I don't care if the cart lights up or is in a custom clear or colored case. from previous homebrew games, most people aren't too fond of clamshell cases, original atari styles are often expensive. as for the cartridge/manual, I much prefer a quality label/manual like you would find in the AA store or from CPUWIZ. I dislike folded pieces of regular paper manuals or labels that are obviously cut by hand (badly) or you can see part of previous label behind (looks bad) Generally, I don't push the issue though. it's up to the author's discretion how he/she wants to release their game.

I've seen it twice (in 2 years) in Ottawa. I was great but there wasn't a lot changed the second time around, so I'll probably skip it a few years before seeing it again.

disgusting. as one of the comments stated, any portable company issued laptop can do all those things....and probably better.
-
I don't know about firing management but they were 100% right that there is still no games that are selling consoles for Wii U. those games should have been Day 1 games....period. even if Nintendo puts them all out in the next few months, the Console still has a rep of "no good games" and it will be years before that reputation is wiped...if ever.

ever since Kinect came out, I knew MS would try to use it this way.
-
The Xbox one reversed the used game policy and the 24h check-ins. at this point, it's basically a PS4 with a mandatory camera....If you are interested in the XboxOne, wait....poor sales may drive MS to remove it. The Wii U (for me) just feels gimmicky, My brother has one and I honestly don't see the appeal. It's been out quite a while and there still isn't any good titles for it. The PS4, hasn't sold me either, usually I wait and see what games come out and read reviews but it's no contest this time. I'm content with what I have now, maybe next year I'll consider buying.
